It’s taken me awhile to make this 1-star post, but a past experience has been hard to shake. Several months ago I was in for lunch and made a small order of two hot dogs. The total was a little more than a firm dollar amount, so I told the worker (owner??) I’d have to run to my car to grab some change. He quickly replied something to the effect of “I won’t be a Jew about it.” I don’t think the intent was meant to be specifically malicious, but it was a hell of a thing to hear. I was clearly not wearing a name tag with my last name or family history, but it hurt. I have not been back since.

What A Pleasure! Stopped at Potts for a few hot dogs and soda, but only had my bank card, no cash. The person waiting on me said, “ No worries, just pay us back next time.”I said, “Are you sure?”“Yes, the owner would want it that way”.That was a few days ago, I stopped back today and paid my bill, picked up one to go! In addition to the personable experience, the food was delicious!

Don't go there if it's an hour or two before they close. They're too lazy to make fresh food. Had 3 orders of fries & all them were terrible. You could tell they were sitting there for awhile. I had to laugh bc my dog wouldn't even eat them. All of our hot dogs were shriveled. Guess the worker figured the sauerkraut would cover the taste.

I have never left a Potts hot dog shop sad. Had to ask for more chili on the dogs, the cheese was squeezed in the bottom of the bun instead of the usual slice in the hot dog to aid in melting, and the fries tasted like the oil was not changed in weeks. Tossed them in the garbage. Very disappointing! I will stick with the other Pott’s where I know I will get a good meal.

Worst service ever. They are always RUDE! They need some serious customer service training. Went to pick up my order and drove 15 mins home to realize they forgot my 2 hot dogs in the bag. Called them a few mins before closing to tell me sorry we are closing we will take your name down and you can come pick up your hot dogs at another time. Thanks guys my 7 year old had nothing to eat. No wonder your review ratings are less than acceptable. Do better.

My husband & I stopped by this location and were so disappointed. The ladies behind the counter were so deep in their conversation they provided the worst customer service. My husband asked for Chili on his hot dogs and the dogs he got looked like someone wiped the chili off. He asked if he could get some more chili or vat least a decent amount and was told he needed to pay for more chili. NEVER AGAIN will we spend a dime at this location.

Honest to God if my grandfather was still alive he would be so disappointed in what Potts has become. I don't know what changed in the last 5 years but I will never go back. The Hot dogs used to be great, and so loaded up with stuff it would fall out the side. There was virtually nothing in my hot dog when I stopped at this location. It was flavorless and just gross. Not to mention the fact that they have become so unreasonably expensive. I got four chili cheese dogs with ketchup and mustard, and a soda. It was $13. 6 or 7 years ago you could get five hot dogs for $9 fully loaded. I used to rave about this place, and now I avoid it. Save your time money and frustration. You're better off getting the gas station hot dogs across the street.

Actually haven't been there for a few months, but used to go quite regularly. All I ever ordered were the hotdogs. The reason I stopped going was twofold; first, I would ask for extra chili topping, and it would never be anymore than any other hot dog (which was very sparse), and secondly I would order my hotdogs without the mustard, yet 75% of the time they would put mustard on. Most of the times everyone behind the counter were chatting with each other, so I'm assuming this may be part of the reason my orders were rarely correct? I finally just got tired of driving there (as much as I craved a quick hot dog or two), only to be disappointed. Never again.

I Made a multi order of Hot dogs, All dried out. everything was Lacking condiments the chili dog looked Speckled. Order got screwed up. they should turn the television off and concentrate on their Orders. It’s like I ended up with a bag of garbage dogs.

This place can not compare to the one near dorney park. This place has soggy buns, barley any toppings and most of all, owner is rude

I cannot believe how rude this place is to anyone with a gluten allergy. Stephanie REFUSED to give us a hotdog without the bun. She said they must provide it with a bun, or it violates the health code. She also refused to put any toppings on the side because they didn't have cups or anything to put them in. I am sickened by the lack of empathy these employees had with making the order GF. In the end, our twenty-five hot dog order went to Yocco's on Catasaqua Rd., who were very accommodating. They even said they switched out gloves to ensure no cross-contamination. Later, we decided to call Pott's of Northampton back to allow the owner to rectify the situation. We were told the owner would call us right back. We never got a call from the owner, so we called back again. Vienna (I believe that was her name) said the owner was on vacation. We asked her for the owner's name, but the lady refused to give it out. I wonder why. We found their names online, Mark and Bobby Mazziotta. Vienna said she was only a worker following orders but wouldn't tell us whose orders she was following. Instead, she kept saying, "What do you want me to do? I'm only a worker". She even told us how much she makes per hour because she's only an employee. In the end, we have yet to reach the owners. I called Bethlehem Pott's doggie shop (different owners) to see if it was a thing with these doggie shops. They said they would gladly accommodate the GF allergy. We were lied to by the Northampton shop's employees because no other place said handing over a hotdog without a bun would be a health code violation.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I see all the recent reviews being negative it should have been my warning to not even attempt it. First of all I go to order my food tonight and all I get is attitude from the staff. I’m sorry that I am a single mom with three kids and one of my children is autistic. I’m sorry that he was an inconvenience to you. Then I get my food and it’s burnt! Not only did the staff give me a hard time when I showed them the black char on my food they then told me it was going to be about a half hour wait after I already waited once… this place needs to do better. Between the staff that acts like it’s an inconvenience to do anything and the quality of the food… save your money and time and go somewhere else!!

DISGUSTING charred and dried-out steak sandwich with cold BarBQ sauce ...NOT what I was expecting and disappointed to say the least! Thinking I would treat myself to a steak sandwich which I have never had there before...and granted it was 6:20PM and they close at 7:00PM...the younger woman who took my order said the grill was already cleaned but she could use the one not cleaned next to the hot dogs! The other woman made the pierogies! When my food was served in a jiffy, the pierogies were perfectly fried golden as requested but the $6.00 plus steak sandwich was the WORST I have ever had...the roll was cold, the skimpy steak meat had no moisture and had charred bits and pieces of onions and meat throughout (probably the remnants scraped up from the previous orders), the BarBQ sauce( I was expecting “steak” sauce)was sparse and cold! My fault for assuming and not asking...and arriving when they are focusing on closing! Never again! Will stick to ONLY getting the hotdogs when $1.00 on Tuesdays!

Attempted to order a cheesesteak of just the meat and cheese in a container. I have celiac disease therefore I cannot have the bread. They refused saying it's "too messy." Since when is putting meat into a paper fry container with tin foil too messy? But not messy at all to put it into an open sliced roll? Or not too messy to throw greasy fries into the same said container with tin foil? I've never been to a single restaurant, food truck or food place that wouldn't do something this simple. This place has been a joke for years. Do better you lazy jerks.

I have not been to this location in a very long time. I stopped yesterday because I have always enjoyed the dogs and the Yankee memorabilia. I ordered 6 dogs to go. When I got home I bit into one and discovered it was severely burnt on one side... bad taste. Then I was surprised to find all 6 were burnt the same way on one side. I ended throwing them out. Huge disappointment!

On Friday I stopped in to Potts to get a large order that I was taking to my daughter, son in law and two grandkids. I have done this many times over the last few years. My order for 10 hot dogs along with pierogies and French fries came out to about $34.00. Everything was terrible. Pierogies were over cooked to the point I could barely bite into them. The hot dogs and rolls had zero taste, even with the condiments added. Did not taste the fries, so not sure how they were, good, bad or what. The people that were working I had never ever seen before. Although if they were new employees, were not trained properly. It will be a very long time before I go back to Potts, especially to spend the amount of money I spent. I do not like to complain, however, this order was below a zero......

Stopped out with a big order for coworkers. Ordered a 100 dogs and they knocked it out no problem. Dogs were awesome and they boxed up everything separately including condiments. Staff was great, definitely be out again.

Was there about a month ago food was bad, hot dogs cold my rolls were wet, LIKE they were soaked on water at the top opening of the rolls. The person working was rude. BUT THIS TIME HOT DOGS WHERE VERY GOOD, FRESH NOT OVER FRIED,NOT COLD,ROLLS FRESH,Really had a good meal enjoyed the food!!!!!PLUS SERVICE WAS VERY GOOD, FRIENDLY!!!

The hot dogs, fries and pierogies were delicious. I do believe the pierogies were homemade. My family enjoyed it....with 1 exception the one staff member was quite cranky and showed it by directing it towards their patrons. I get it. Dealing with the public is not easy. Would I go back??? Of course! It is worth it.

3 Everything Dogs and a fry for $6? Yes please! These dogs are great as are the fries. You can't go wrong here, just make sure you bring cash as they do not accept credit/debit cards.
