Although she was a substitute vet, Dr. Elliott was very attentive and thorough w/ our dog, Chewy. We've been taking him to this clinic for a few years now. They've had a few quick, unexpected changes in the doctors, which makes it kind of challenging since the 1st vet knew our dog's history, etc. Our dog has chronic ear problems, and the care he received today was definitely the best since we've been going there. He received a more thorough examination and the vet looked through his records and suggested a different course of treatment, which I'm very happy about!

This vet office is great. They have an amazing staff and rotation of vets that give great services to your animals. All three of my babies get taken care of there. I can’t recommend them enough.

Took my dog in for a nail trim with no appointment. Was able to come in same day and they took good care of my pup and suggested some remedies for his arthritis. Would go again.

My baby had an ear infection and I needed someone to see him quickly. When I called North Versailles Veterinary Clinic they were able to see him the very next day even though he was a new patient. Every person my pup and I interacted with was amazing. The receptionist was very nice while scheduling us and getting all of the information and she was very kind when we arrived. The vet tech was great, efficiently asking relevant questions. I was really impressed with Dr. Handke as well. He got down and interacted with Lincoln putting him at ease. He explained everything he was doing and how to prevent it from happening in the future. He even showed me a picture of his dog. Oh and the cost of the appointment was incredibly fair. I’m so happy we found such a great, affordable vet with such a friendly staff close to home. Couldn’t be happier.

So, I've been going here about 5 years with my pomchi and it's great. I went to schedule an app for a rescue dog that was in need a treatment, care and possibly pregnant. It went well. I scheduled online by completing two forms. The following day they called me for a $25 deposit and I was def taken aback by this new policy. I asked when it started and if it went towards my bill. It did. I calmed myself because I know how it is out here for businesses, especially small ones. We went in a week later and they took AMAZING care of Queen Elizabeth. She is still on the mend but lookin good. I can't say how amazing this facility, the Admin, the staff and techs are. I referred my sister and she has been going there for two years also.

Despite what I heard about this place by a friend that had her pets seen at this location before they changed names. I gave it a shot anyway bc I was in need asap and received great care from both the vet and vet tech. I felt secure that my pet was in good hands the entire duration of the visit. My friend confirmed that who serviced me was different than who serviced her in the past so I overall had a great experience as well as received a follow up call to confirm my pet was well. I recommend services if in need.

New management took over, tried to come within the last 10minutes to drop off a specimen for testing and their doors are locked. And no one's answering the phone or coming to the door when I knock. I've been coming here for 2 years with my 10 cats and have spend thousands of dollars here. I guess I'll be finding a new vet since they are closing early and neglecting their customers!

I used to be a long standing customer at this vet practice until Dr Dill left. I couldn't get an appointment to have my dog seen at my current vet. I called North Versailles today. Got an appointment today!! Everyone I've dealt with is very nice and pleasant. Dr Handke is wonderful, him and the vet tech Shawntaa were very good with my dog. He took his time and explained everything. First impressions are a big deal to me and everyone today was great. Thanks for a good experience.

Recently took our 10 weeks lab and 8yr lab there and very disappointed in the service. Took over an hour to be seen, the office and room was dirty. The vet not knowing our dog temper got right in her face. The biggest issue is that a few days later the older dog developed kennel cough. I would not recommend this place.

This Veterinarian Hospital is the one I decided to use when my vet retired.I had to use a few other Vets and decided on staying with East McKeesport Vets. The Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I breed German Shepherds so sometimes a unplanned visit is necessary. I've always found the office to be very clean, fully staffed and accommodating. * EDIT- UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP. I recently had a visit for an x-ray to make sure my girl didn't swallow a bone. Looking at the x-ray I knew more than the new vet as he said " I don't know what this is * I knew what it was and told the vet beforehand !! After using them 2 yrs or so, as a breeder since 96, I can't vouch for new staffing.

Recently I took my young Black Lab into the clinic due to a bizarre seizure he experienced, and Dr. Handke was the best with him. We're not sure what caused the seizure, and it may have been a one-time event, but Dr. provided a very good exam and analysis of the situation, and gave me some great advice and recommendations going forward, should my pup have any recurrences of the seizure.I started going to North Versailles Veterinary Care when I got my pup 2+ years ago, and was not too happy with the staff and their communications, so I had actually started looking around for another clinic. That was, until I met this new Veterinarian (Dr. Handke), who is unlike anyone I had previously dealt with there. I was extremely impressed by his knowledge, his bedside manner with my pup, and his communications skills regarding the prognosis and options going forward. My Lab was very comfortable with him as well. I think I'll stick around and give this clinic another chance, in light of this new Veterinarian on staff.Thank you, Dr. Handke!

I feel like this place has no service. Told they are not equipped take to vet hospital. Told me many times my baby won’t make it thru weekend. Took my cat home feed him broth water and used my breathing machine on my cat . Stayed up all night taking care of him and he sat up got him to eat cat food solids eye’s open he still not stable on legs but will not give up on him like vet place did

Great vet services! I really love Dr. Handke and Shawntaa. They are the best. They truly love animals and give your pet the space to adjust and settle in. I highly recommend their care as they are so knowledgeable, super kind, and truly animal-focused professionals.

I have been coming here for years for my pets (cats and dog) healthcare. Even before the new owner. I’ve brought my dog here regularly for annual checkups and sick visits. One time my dog had a bad reaction to a rabies vaccine she received there and they had me bring her back in for a shot to clear her hives. I’ve had great experiences here and will gladly continue! Love Dr Handke, very compassionate and knowledgeable!

We love Dr. Handke and his amazing techs!! Our puppy needed a visit urgently for a UTI, and they were able to see her next day even though we were new clients. The staff are warm, knowledgeable, and beyond lovely.

I was nervous about taking my puppy here after reading the reviews. However, I was very pleased with the service I received. The wait time was brief. Dr. Handke took time to address my concerns. In addition, my pup demonstrated a level of comfort I haven't seen with other vets. I will definitely continue to take my pup to this office.

My normal vet couldn't see my dog for an urgent matter. I called and got a same day appointment no problem. They were fast, courteous, kind, and very gentle with my anxious pup. I'd recommend this place to everybody!

I brought my sick cat in last week, it was the first time seeing this vet. I highly recommend Dr. Handke and his staff. He spent plenty of time with my cat and called me himself the next day to discuss the blood work when it came in, spending at least 10 minutes on the phone. He didn't rush and had a great bedside manner with my kitty. He was very nice, knowledgeable, and put me at ease. Thank you for your help!

My dogs are always treated well here. Last visit was to see about a lump on his foot and to get some vaccines. Prices are fair and the vet and techs really love animals! If I have any complaint at all, it's that I wish they had some evening/weekend hours.
