Great variety & the staff was so nice. I love that it's open year round, with winter hours usually 4-9 or similar. This visit we true the soft serve pumpkin spice. That's not my favorite as it's not very pumpkin flavored for me but it was good. Love the decor too. Outdoor seating only. But year round you can get some awesome ice cream! Because any time is the right time for ice cream! And the dogs loved their free doggy cups we took back to them!Parking: There's plenty of free parking around the building & the area.Kid-friendliness: Friendly staff, lots of choices, and it's ice cream. Does it get more kid friendly?Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible, level paved ground, staff very accommodating

Great place to get ice cream! Lots of parking and seating available. Staff is quick and prices are great. I love they have an ice cream flight. Pick 6 flavors off the massive flavor menu for one price! You can’t beat it! Definitely check them out! Also they carry Penn State Creamery ice cream which is fabulous

This is a must stop. Not only do they offer an amazing selection of flavors, but they have a “flight” option that lets you select 6 flavors. Plenty of outside seating to sit and enjoy.

A friend told me about this place since he's from the area and I am vacationing. This little ice cream shop sells both Perry's ice cream (I'm not familiar) and Penn State ice cream. There was only a couple flavors that interest me... Peach and coconut chip. I went with the coconut chip ice cream, both from Penn State. It is delicious, has so much chips. They offer free small soft serve ice cream with a Milkbone to dogs. I have 2 little ones but only asked for one that they can share. The free doggie size ice cream is so cute! My pups love it and they are very finicky. The young lady working there was helpful and sweet. I got a cup with 1 scoop and it is plenty for me.

Not your basic ice cream stand. They have soft serve, dole whip, and several hard scoop lines including Penn State Berkey Creamery. We tried a couple different flavors of the Penn State ice cream. It was awesome! Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy...coconut ice cream with buttered almonds and chocolate chips....what's NOT to love.Husband loves the Death by Chocolate. Chocolate ice cream, and chocolate chips....chunks really.If you are anywhere NEAR, make the trip to the Straw Hat. You can thank me later! 😌

Great little ice cream shop serving mainly Perry's and PSU Creamery scoops. There are tons of flavors, and so many other items to choose from (sundaes, Dole whip, slushies, ice cream stuffed doughnuts, and so much more). Plenty of searing and off street parking available.

Have been going here for 4 years. They have the best ice cream around and great portions. Today was not so great portions. Ordered 5 of the small cones and got equivalent of maybe a 3/4 scoop of ice cream in each. They have consistently been packed to the very bottom of the cone and then a scoop and half on top. Very disappointed and hope this was a fluke and not a new thing they are doing

Love this place. Many memories of our dad taking us to it after our little league baseball games 30+ years ago. We always had a deal where if we hit a homerun, dad would buy us a banana split! Was back in town for a brief visit, and the place is still awesome. My wife and I had rootbeer floats, my dad got a milk shake, and our son got a super here ice cream cone. Love how it has changed but still kept so much of its tradition.

Great assortment of flavors from Perrys and Penn State Creamery. They appear to offer flights so you can try multiple flavors with friends, family, or yourself before going all in on a favorite. My wife and I had a tough time picking flavors, but anything with graham cracker for us is a winner.

A nice little place to stop on the way back from the beach. Hubby had a cup of Death by Chocolate and I had Black Cherry in a waffle cone. Both were excellent, and even though I got a kids size scoop, it was huge!
