Local hardware store that will save you money & a trip into Erie! Absolutely love shopping here for all our projects. Whether you are shopping for cleaning products, canning and preserving supplies or electrical wire, they have everything. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly, there is always someone to help you out and show you where it is located in the store. We have even rented equipment from Stetson Brothers, specifically a wood chipper. They rental cost was priced less than other local rental places and the length of the rental was longer. They also offer a huge selection of BBQ grills and smokers, including the Big Green Egg, Weber, Blackstone and my personal favorite Traeger. They also have a variety of rubs, sauces and pellets to compliment all of your meat cooking needs.Parking is ample and it is conveniently located.Think twice before shopping at a big box store and check out Stetson Brothers! Forgot to mention...be sure to grab a bag of fresh popped popcorn while you are browsing...love it.

I called to check on availability of an item and they ran to see if it is on the floor! So sweet of them. When I got there, they showed me where to find the item. Even offered a coupon!! So kind and considerate. Everyone was smiling and happy. I will return and shop local!!!

Very helpful staff. Amazing the variety of items in a small town store. They save me many a trip to Erie. Prices are comparable to the big box stores. Needed some specialty light bulbs for some track lighting. I thought them having this type of bulb would be a shot in the dark, but to my pleasant surprise they had them. Pays to shop local first.

When it's your day off and your 5 year old wants a new bike. Quick what can you do? Offer her to spray paint her bike in colors she likes and boom! New bike. Haha. Happy mom happy kid. We were in and out in less than 10 minutes with one easy customer. She wanted light blue and light purple and was happy and fast.

Usually when I walk into a hardware store, I have no idea where to go or what I am doing. Good thing the staff is super helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Sometimes you don't even have to ask for help to find something, they just come to you, which is amazing. This one time I bought a lawn mower in April, but me and the owner (I think he was the owner) noticed that one of the hinges was broken and had to be repaired. So the owner brought over a repair man to fix the mower on site and helped me carry it into my car. Great work!

Bigger than it looks. Friendly staff with good sale prices. Has lumber and just about anything you would need for a home DIY project. You will need a FREE ace rewards card to take advantage of some sales which is fine because you end up getting coupons for freebies in the mail when you use it. Clean store.

Amazing store to shop and the employees are all very friendly that I met. Love that they ask if you need help and are willing to talk and help out in any way that they are able to if they can. Definitely recommend anyone to shop here.

I don’t even know where to start.... where else can you go to get lumber, spray paint, an auger, bird feed, a skid steer, and then go play some indoor golf?! All with friendly associates who are super helpful in helping you with any crazy project you can come up with. Highly recommend!!

Great hardware and lumber.... have everything you can imagine. Prices are fair, even compared to the big box stores. Every staff person knows their stuff and can give advice.... Big box stores don't do consistently.

Two reasons why you should NEVER go to STETSONS. I bought a mr heater from Stetson hardware. I took it out of the box, tested it on a propane tank and it made a constant hissing noise when it was running. I shut it off and put it back in the box to return. My application requires it to be quiet.Two days later I went back to Stetsons and returned it ( I should have lied and said I didn’t turn it on but the honest guy I am got me into a big mess).The girl at the front got Frank (must be the returns specialist). He took the heater out of the box and took it downstairs to his propane tank. I heard him from upstairs clicking the igniter and I knew by the sound he had no clue what he was doing and more of my time would be wasted if I didn’t go there and show him how to operate it.I went downstairs and frank had it in two pieces trying to start it (not smart). Propane spraying in the air from the regulator side when he was holding the heater element. I put it together for him and got it working. Frank told me he wasn’t refunding my money because it works fine. He said the hiss is normal. And it wasn’t making much noise.He said if I want, take it up with the owner. So he wanted me to drive another 40 minutes round trip for this poor customer service? I asked him to call the owner, which he did and the owner gave the ok to do the return (40 minutes later and several arguments with Frank). No need for this folks.Two reasons never to go to Stetsons:1. Beware of any return to this store. They appear to have a very cheap way about them and scrutinize any return.2. I and other civilians were put in harms way while Frank was lighting an outdoor heater indoors and didn’t have it installed correctly. Good thing I had the initiative to go stop that from happening.I want to see the return policy in writing? How can you stay in business when you treat your customers with such disrespect over 30$. Whoever put this policy in place wasted 45 minutes of my time, I can’t get that back so I figured I would post here to make everyone aware that they not a place I would ever shop again.

My husband shopped here constantly... but that all ended with his experience last week. Pretty sure the employee he dealt with was Dave. My husband went In there looking for a specific product... so "Dave" was sent over by another employee to assist. He did not even walk up to my husband... stopped at the end of the isle asking what he needed. Once my husband asked for the specific product...without even looking.. the employee yelled.. we don't have that. The employee proceeded to ask my husband where he purchased the item in the past.. the employee then yelled "well then go there".This was the cue for my husband to exit and never shop there again. Very very dissapointing

Lumber is cheaper than most including Carter lumber. They have a great selection but some things are over priced compared to big box stores but the convenience is worth it. Awesome rental section too!

One of the best hardware stores I know of, and even a fairly substantial lumber stock for a small town. A store like this is invaluable when working on a project nearby. It is not uncommon that I am working in Erie and run to Duchini or Valu Home Center only to find that they lack the needed product I would have easily found at Stetsons. As an electrical contractor they won't replace the wholesale supply house, but I've never found a better local store to suppliment it.

Stetson Brothers is a North East mainstay. Excellent old-time hardware store. Need one bolt? No problem. Need exactly 2 feet 3 1/2 inches of electrical cord? They have it. Tools, electrical supplies, medium sized equipment to rent, paint, home repair, it's all there. Knowledgable staff, conveniwnt location in "the valley" just west of town on Rt. 20. Highly recommend.
