Even though our dog couldn't be boarded here. Fred is an awesome person. His knowledge about animals is amazing. Wish our dog wasn't so cage aggressive, or we would be using Best Friends all the time.

Love Best Friends! Our dog is four years old and we only recently had to board her. Fred was so good with her and even had a pre-board meet and greet to be sure she was familiar with him and her temporary surroundings. He really knows his dogs and makes sure they are well looked after. We will definitely be coming here every time we need boarding. 😊

My Rottie Gunner was at Best Friends Pet Care for 9 days while we were out of town on vacation. Fred was very professional and our Dog took to him immediately. It’s a great place to have your pet be safely watched! Everything is very inviting and clean and his prices are phenomenal! I would recommend him to anyone looking for a place to board your pet. We will be using his services again absolutely!!

Fred has kept my dog, Winston, several times. His facility is well kept and welcoming. Fred is a definite pet lover. Winston doesn’t warm to strangers quickly and was a bit apprehensive at first but now does quite well with Fred. Fred is very accommodating and would be given a 10 star rating if possible. He doesn’t mind my calling to check on Winston. He is quick to respond if I leave a message. Fred is #1 in pet care.

She is always happy to stay at Best Friend Pet Center.She actually pulls to go inside.We are confident that she is safe and well cared for during her visits.We highly recommend Best Friends.We have learned some good tips from Fred for the care of Luna. I have taken my dog, Faith, to Fred at Best Friends a few times now. I do not board her to often but am so glad to have found Best Friends. Fred is wonderful to work with, his place is very clean and he really seems to care for the animals. Faith comes home with no issues and seems happy:)

I had an extremely bizarre experience. I arrived 15 minutes early to drop off my four dogs to be boarded for a long weekend. My dogs had been there before and had a seemingly decent time except for when he "fasted" my two labs for 24 hours because he couldn't figure out which one had an accident. Really? Anyway, Fred seemed to care about the dogs so I brought them back. This time was quite different. Upon my early arrival he abruptly met me in the parking lot and insisted he couldn't take my dogs early because he was still registering other dogs...my parent's dogs. I explained that I had my four dogs in the car and my 9 month old baby and would appreciate if we could start unloading etc. He insisted that wouldn't work, raised his voice at me, and told me to come back15 minutes later. Needless to say I got back in the car, canceled my reservation and took my dogs to Paws N' Claws in Girard and they were cared for very well. Though he is taking care of dogs, I am a paying and customer service should be considered. I will not board my dogs there again.

This was the first time that we ever boarded Zona and I was very nervous. Fred made everything easier and was super organized with lots of good tips. I was impressed at how clean and quiet the kennels were. Zona had a good time and I would definitely recommend best friends pet care.

Fred is wonderful. He works with you well for scheduling. He loves the animals and is obviously a great caretaker of them while you are gone.

Fred has done a great job watching over our 2 dogs I had to board. He truly cares about them and their wellbeing. He knows boarding pets is stressful for them and wants them to be as comfortable as possible. Please remember to bring your pets beds, toys, treats, ect as he really wants to make this their short term home. Many other places I'd tried did not want bedding and toys to be brought with them. Really helps the dogs not feel as anxious. He also needs food to be left in the bag, takes up less space and easier to identify as your pets. One of my dogs has had a Cronic ear infection and he took it apon himself to use ear rinse to help her out. Was very awesome to hear he was able to help her and didnt charge anything additional other than for purchasing a bottle of cleaner (was not expensive either). Price is very competitive and slightly cheaper than others in the area. Also offers walking packages for a reasonable price to occupy them during their stay.The owner is organized and particular but please keep in mind hes been doing it for years and wants everything done a certain way to help your pets. He also encourages you to check up on them. This is was unsure of an didnt as I didnt want to bother him but he seemed like he wanted to express how hes been doing with them throughout the week.
