The Dollar General in North Apollo, PA that used to be in the Mid-Towne Plaza just moved into a new larger building at 2016 River Road, North Apollo (next to the Yakkity Yak Diner). The new store has been opened for about two weeks (11/9/2020). This store appears to be more organized than the old store. DG is a local variety store that seems to bring good value to the local community.

A very nice new store, that cant find enough workers to keep the shelves stocked.Items waiting to be shelved are parked all over the store, and the restrooms are "broken" a month after opening.And that is just poor customer service, cant pee there because a junkie may overdose, sad.

I wish I could put no stars. The store is an absolute mess. Items are all over the place. Empty shelves, blocked isle ways. The person behind the counter was giving me nasty looks. I have gone to other DG stores and i don't think i have ever seen the other stores look this bad. Maybe the management needs changed or something done to get the store organized. Because I will not step back into that store in North Apollo...Very bad!!!!

They are doing much better now that they have a different manager and have been open a while.. The gentleman who is always there and manages this store is so nice.. They have a hard time keeping employees, (It seems many businesses are having trouble with staffing right now) so he is stuck working alot but He still remains so very kind.

Store is well stocked. But prices are high for a dollar store. You can go a mile away and get the same thing at the other store. Kmart can beat most all their prices and you get a discount on gas also. So it's convenient.

Today was not a pleasant experience. The manager was about as friendly as a mad rattle snake. Apparently something had spilt on the floor and she had to clean it up and was not very happy about it. She is definitely not a woman I would want working for me if I had a business and expected my manager to satisfy and please my customers. Just being truthful.

This new store should have never opened. The shelf's were never fullly stocked from opening day. And the shelf's still remain bare because they can't get the stock carts from the trucks emptied. The place was a fire trap the last time I was there. I can't believe the fire department hasn't done anything.

Not very clean. The store is always messy, the items are thrown every which way, the floor doesn't look like it gets swept or mopped, and the trash is always full. The layout is a bit too chaotic and makes for an unpleasant shopping experience. If you're looking for cheaper and cleaner and nicer employees, go to the dollar store in the apollo plaza or the family dollar in the same plaza

The dollar general north apollo store is one of the worst run stores in the area, possibly in the entire country. While the shelves of other doller generals in the area remain full, theirs are empty, devoid of most products, products from toilet bowl cleaner, batteries, tissues and other household staples. Instead isles are clogged with with boxes upon boxes of product, all neatly stored on the carts they were delivered in. At first I gave them the benefit of the doubt, having recently moved less than a mile from their old location. However after week upon week of having to peek around constant clutter only to find an empty shelf, i have given up. I would rather drive a few more miles to purchase at a different dollar general, one that cares about its customers.

I love that they accept Fed-ex packages now. Very convenient. Took pre-labeled package in, it was scanned by the cashier, he handed me the scanner, I entered my phone number and that was it. A short time later I received a text confirmation with tracking. To my understanding you can reroute a package to have it delivered to a DG location if you are worried about porch pirates or a signature is required and you won’t be home to sign for it. Big thumbs up!

The employees and managers at this store are THEIVES, They will short change you at the register and steal your money and they also will not give you your merchandise that you pay for at the checkout . They will put back on the shelves and not in grocery bag . They all should be arrested and criminally charged at this store. Also the store manager is a liar, rude , disrespectful and not truthful shop at your own expense.

The Shelves were Bare!! ALL ITEMS NEEDED WERE ON PUSH CARTS WRAPPED IN PLASTIC!??? ALL FROZEN FOODS WERE PUT AWAY IN THEIR CARDBOARD BOXES!??? TAPED SHUT AND UNABLE TO RETRIEVE THE ITEM! VERY HEAVY FROM BE FROZEN!??? NOT ONE EMPLOYEE WAS STOCKING SHELVES!??? THERE WERE EVEN METAL SHELVES LAYING AND STANDING AGAINST THE WALLS!????IT'S A REAL JOKE AND A SAID REPRESENTATION OF THEIR SOOOO CALLED MODEL STORE!?? STAFF WAS RUDE, WHEN ASKED WHERE ITEMS WERE AND WHERE I COULD FIND THEM!????? WILL NEVER SHOP IN THAT STORE, EVER!! 😡😠🤬😡😠🤬

Nice store. Policies a little militant when a 4 yr old child holding her mother's hand is yelled at to take off her school backpack before entering the store. This is a dollar store I walked into right?

Buyer Beware : This store sells defective damaged items and then sells them to consumers and will refuse to refund your money and will not answer your calls and will constantly hang up phone on you, This store has been reported numerous times to the police , attorney general, better business Bureau .The cashiers and staff are not trained properly and will short change you of your money at the register and dont buy any of their defective DampRid items.

The only downside to my visit was they didn't have change. You could use correct change or your card. Luckily I had both but chose cash to help them out.

This is a very nice dollar general very spacy has everything even clothes I do enjoy this one I like the cashier's etc. I enjoy this dollar general over the one in vandergrift.

They usually don't have their large pkg. Of their brand of paper towels. That is what I was after. But, their deals are pretty good

It is way nicer than the local Kmart and you can find pretty much anything that you are looking for. Staff is typically very friendly and helpful.

I stopped as I was passing by to purchase a drink and snack. I didn't have any problems or issues. However, the store was not neat and clean.

I always go here their prices are much better than other dollar store they have a whole isle of everything a dollar and a last chance isle stuff is up to 80 percent off

Aisle always crowded with boxes.Thank God no little children was in the store today.Cause I walked past 3 box cutters just laying on boxes and no workers was around and didn't even has the brains to keep them out of View.I think they need some more training

Brand new building with a roof leak and you cant get to half the merchandise because its still on carts lining the entire inner wall shelfs... Disappointing
