I used to shop here frequently, preferring it over the Markley St location. Recently things have changed drastically. On one occasion last week about 7pm I went here only to find they were closed. Well today at 5:15 I was their last customer. I had to be let out of the store because they were closing! The young lady announced she had been there since 6am and there was nobody else that came in. She said "nobody wants work" then in the same breath said " I'm not pulling a double for nobody" lol This location won't be open much longer it appears.

I asked to use the bathroom. There was a really nice guy working who asked the manager if they could open the door. She said I had to wait. However, there were FOUR employees at the front of the store. Only two were at the registers. Customer service isn't great.

Yesterday I, went here to grab a few items on my grocery list. I was thrilled to see new management. However, an older white gentleman was being passive aggressive and following me around the store.I understand. I'm Black and Norristown is an underserved community. I get it, but open your store in Collegeville, Phoenixville or Devon. Instead of policing 'randoms' at your store. Take out a loan and open at a location where you can "TRUST" the customers.

Mike is an amazing manager for the store. He is very personable and business oriented while also holding high respect for his employees. Definitely an ideal managerial figure in my eyes. Keep it up!

This store is pathetic. On a Wednesday at lunch time.. the parking lot next to this family dollar was very packed. Not sure why.So, people parked in the MUTUALLY SHARED parking lot of the family dollar. Do you know what the family dollar did on a weekday at LUNCH? TOWED THE CARS.We are in freaking Plymouth meeting. Is this a joke? Pathetic.This store doesn’t get enough profit from their retail sales so they degrade themselves to a slimy cash kickback from Pat’s Towing. Absolutely pathetic.

Had everything I was looking for. People seemed nice in the store. The isles are so tiny though. And mayhap it was the time of day or the week but the items in the store we're messy. Some hard to get or tightly hung. Parking was easy and location great! Thanks! Update 2022: random items out of stock, but lots of options for a small store! Recent management changes, folks behind the counter don't seem happy to be there 😅

Store is not fully stocked as many shelves were only 1/4-1/2 full. I was unable to find a few things in the store. I was also unhappy about $5 off of $25 only being able to be utilized for saturdays as i dont do my shopping then so i was unable to maximize savings. The cashiers response was it is out of their control, i suggested for them to give the feed back to corporate as i was only going into the store for additional savings because other stores locally have competitive prices.

I’ve been shopping at the family dollar since I moved to the area in 1988. I would be lost if the store ever closed. For the most part I have nothing bad to say . Sometimes the lines get a little long and it looks like they could use extra help, but the employees do the best they can. My favorite is PENNY… She has been there for years and she is always so pleasant and helpful to her customers. She’s a hard worker and huge ssset to the store!!

Family Dollar Store is opened to the public,they are following all COVID-19 guide lines for safety. Everyone who works at the store are wearing masks and are still very friendly and helpful to their customers. I had no problems finding what I was looking for,I all I had to do was ask any worker there and they told me where to find what I wanted which made my shopping trip very pleasant. I also was very pleased about the checkout process,the young lady who took care of me,made sure my bleach bottles where double bagged,all my other items were bagged in such away that I had no issues carrying my purchased items everything was placed in a large container that I bought there. I was able to take the shopping cart out of the store to the back of Jeep to unload everything I bought there. They knew I have back problems and that I needed surgery and they wished me well and even stated they would pray that my surgery would go well. I definitely recommend the Family Dollar store and would go back there in a minute.

Looks small from outside, but the store's a good size. I went early in the morning and the store was reasonable clean. I was pleased with the service at checkout. I didn't get the cashier's name but he was courteous and very helpful

I only went to this store because they had a 50 ounce bottle of Tide laundry detergent for under 3 bucks. This will also be my last time in a Family Dollar. The security alerts kept going off and the atmosphere of the store makes you feel like a criminal even when you're doing nothing wrong. The crap you have in this store is junk! It's insulting that you think anyone would want to steal this garbage!

Very rude lady manager, needed to get helium for a birthday balloons and i said i will pay for it just do it for me please. She said no and i was really upset because it s not a big deal if i was gonna pay for it. We ended up getting it in a DOLLAR GENERAL in south jersey where we re going to the birthday party and the gentleman did for free.

Ugly, philthy, cramped store. I was excited to visit this place since they have such good deals on so many products including food. I love dollar stores, but this one is pretty bad. It feels like you are in a surveillance Zone the entire time and there is an announcement that is broadcast LOUDLY literally every 30 seconds to tell the customers that they are being watched thoroughly and will be prosecuted if they are caught shoplifting. I feel terrible for the workers in the store to have to hear that blaring in their ears the entire time they are working their shift. The only reason I give it two stars is because it is, after all a dollar store with a huge selection of discounted items.

Normally I love this location but on 2 occasions I called in the last 2weeks to see if they had a particular item b4 I traveled on the bus in norristown and the person on the phone said they were too busy to help me because of the long long they had. Me and my 19yr old son have put in apps to work there but nothing came from it. I shop at family dollar in norristown and west Philly and this is always the problem and you have Ppl that want to work. Please upgrade your customer service. I was so disappointed

The labeling and pricing in this Family Dollar needs maintenance big time. Why would someone pay $3.50 for a small bag of chips, when there's loads of larger bags...same brand/other brands....for less? Apparently, the larger bags were on sale, and the smaller bag was regular price...? Anyways...Im having to bring this small expensive bag of goodies back for a refund...its ridiculous. Other than that, and the fact that this store is a chucked-full with items...its decent.

There was so much merchandise in the isle that had to be put up you could hardly walk through the isle. I love the store...if you shop right you can save alot of money
