What a fantastic experience. We went on a 2 week trip, so were away from our girls for along time. From the first initial meeting to picking the girls up. It was nothing short of great. You can tell they really care about your pets. Will definitely go back again in the future.

Great for boarding highly aggressive dogs or dogs with anxiety. It is so difficult to find good kennels that specialize in aggressive breeds. We needed to find a kennel last minute for our family trip and the owners helped take care of our dog who does not do well outside of family members. They have excellent facilities and took excellent care of her. Some people might be offended by the owners' strong and frank personality but I was honestly looking for a trainer that knows what they are doing and is confident beccause you need a personality like that to take good care of aggressive dogs. This is our go to boarding spot now!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful they took care of my dog. My dog has epilepsy and needs her medicine 3 times a day and requires a little more attention. My dog actually slept in their house and they kept her calm and she was so well treated. I will be using them whenever I have to go anywhere. Wonderful place. Donna burke

Very impressed by Hidden Valley Kennels. I have a 3 year old pit bull mix. My dog does not like anyone. I was nervous about leaving her alone. The woman who owns this kennel really knows dogs and has a love for animals in general. Highly recommend this kennel.

I spoke to Don (one of the owners) a couple times when I was looking for a good kennel. His condescending, harsh attitude, rude tone and arrogance made me quickly mark this place off the list. There are other clean, safe kennels around that actually have friendly, caring people working there. I can't recommend doing business with a person like that.

The best place. Mary Elaine and Don are the best caregivers. Compassionate and knowledgeable. I have been using their service for 16 years. This is the third dog they have cared for. The first one was terminally ill with cancer. She took great care of him. My current dog only takes baths now because of how great Mary Elaine was with him. I recommend them to anyone who wants to leave their fur baby and be able to relax knowing they’re being treated well.

I called about price and left a message. Got a call back a few hours later and got lectured on my message. Guy was extremely rude and unprofessional. I was unable to go for a meet and greet during normal hours and asked about weekends because I work full time. He got rude gave me his life history and then told me my dog would never be allowed to stay the re. Showed a very bad attitude and acted like I was a bad person for not wanting to miss work and blames all his reasons on COVID. I would never allow my dog to stay at a place where injuries are being reported and other reviews mentioning the same experience with a bad attitude. If I could give this place a negative star I would.

So far our experience with Hidden Valley Kennels has been great. We recently started boarding our boy with them and we're about as anxious of dog parents as you can be, when it comes to leaving him. After a trial and two stays with Hidden Valley I think we now drop him off knowing he will be safe and well cared for. Our boy isn't great with other dogs, so we have never felt comfortable boarding him. We don't trust your typical 'boutique'/doggy-daycare boarding facilities to take our concerns for his and other dogs' safety seriously. But Mary Elaine and Don took us seriously from the start and talked us through how they run their facility - and how they approach social situations, and how they avoid potential for accident. We trust them (and that is a big deal). They seem to often go above and beyond what I would expect from a kennel - (such as drop off and pick up of dogs many miles away & working with our schedule which is different than most peoples). I don't think a kennel environment will ever be great for our boy, as it is a kennel, so there's obviously periods of loud barking, and many dogs present and visible to him, but considering he shows no signs of distress at drop off or pick up; for those times when I have to leave him, I feel so much better knowing I have a place I can trust to care about him individually. Price is very reasonable too.

Don & Mary Elaine are nothing short of miracle workers! After some research I reached out to them to inquire about the training program. After speaking with Don I brought my very, very stubborn 4 y/o French Bulldog for an overnight evaluation. When I picked him up, both Don & Mary Elaine spent a tremendous amount of time with me listening to my areas of concern. Together they have a plethora of experience in both behavioral training and vet tech knowledge. They developed a plan for Ramsay to correct some problematic behaviors of immediate concern such as jumping on others, selective hearing of commands, and pulling on the leash. It must be said that I wasn't successful on my own and Ramsay was essentially untrained and wild. I cannot say enough complimentary things about them! Ramsay has many health problems and allergies. Mary Elaine took amazing care of him during his stay. When I returned to retrieve my guy I could not believe I was seeing the same dog in action! Don was able to train Rams to walk without pulling, listen to commands, and minimize jumping on others. My dog was transformed! Don spent time with me practicing how to continue working with Rams at home to continue to strengthen and reinforce the foundation that had been established. They both made themselves available for follow up questions and concerns I may need advice on. They have gone above and beyond providing exceptional service to both my dog and myself. I highly and strongly recommend Hidden Valley Kennels to anyone looking into training programs. I am looking forward to boarding both of my furbabies this week. I trust them implicitly with my dogs. Again, I cannot say enough laudable things about Don, Mary Elaine and Hidden Valley Kennels!

I have a difficult dog who requires very limited interaction with strangers. Before we found HVK there was only one other boarder we could take him.Ceasar came home happy, healthy, and did not stink like a shelter which I appreciated so much. The pricing was very affordable, and the owners took care of him like he was there own. Will definitely book again. Thank you Hidden Valley

Took many years before I could trust anyone to take care of my little girl. After speaking to them on the phone I was ready to check myself in! My dog had a such a good experience that I have not hesitated to take her for there for longer periods of time. This couple has experienced medical/vetinary background and provide pets with personal attention.

After calling around to find a place for our pooch to hang out while we went on vacation, I called Hidden Valley Kennels. After just a simple phone call asking about availability, I knew this was the place to go! Super friendly and knowledgeable, they are the best place to go for your dog hands down!!! Easily the best kennel in the area, or as my son refers to it, doggy daycare.If you're interested in a place to take your pet and feel 100% welcomed and be treated nice, Hidden Valley should be your one and only call!! Reasonably priced of course, but in my opinion, when your treated so well on the phone and in person, the price doesn't matter because you know your family's pet is in the best hands possible!!!A 5 star rating isn't enough of stars to say how pleased my family and I were with them!!!A must call every time!!

Two people who will love your fur babies as much as you do. They are excellent!! You will not feel guilty going on vacation, knowing your pet is with them. Kennels are awesome I recommend them highly!

I dropped my dog off here for a weekend. I picked him up and his eye was swollen shut! The vet said the swollen eye was from filthy conditions! So I opened the dog daycare and kennel in Clark’s summit just because they hurt my poor boy. I no longer own that kennel because I only had one goal and that was to provide a better alternative!

Nice place with friendly people. Lovely, wooded setting. Don't rely on your GPS to find it. It is on a dead end road and our GPS tried to bring us in the back way. 🙃

I just got off the phone with someone at this kennel. I was inquiring about the cost. When I questioned the price and if there was a discount for two dogs sharing a run, he quickly cut me off and ended the call. So rude!
