I go to Saylors a few days a week. I live closer to Plainfield but I like to support family-owned businesses whenever I can. They are a little high on their prices but they also have a lot of very good sales and deals every week. My only complaint is when you go to a grocery store, you should not have to check the Best buy dates. I understand some things may get overlooked but it is on a regular basis that things are out of date. A few weeks ago I bought a few of the Celeste pizzas and I did not realize until I got home that they expired the month before and when I called the store they did not offer a refund or for me to exchange them. Last week I went to buy Buffalo ranch sauce and out of all the bottles on the shelf I only found one that was in date, the rest expired about 5 months ago and as early as yesterday there was chocolate milk on the shelf that expired March 11th. I understand that every business is in business to make money but I would also think that the health and safety of customers would also be a priority. I love saylors and I will continue to support them but money can't always be the priority.

I love this store. If you ever have the opportunity to get their raisin filled cookies -not Shirley's but in house baked- do it. They are so good.

Convenient for a quick stop if you only need a few items. Not a very big selection of products. But most of all their prices are extremely more expensive than Giant where I usually shop. Giant's selection is better, prices are lower and I get discounts and bonus points to use for groceries or gas at Giant which is a no brainer when you're on a limited budget and every penny counts.

Hometown Proud ❤️ I love entering this store and knowing for certain that I'll know someone! It's also great to know that they hire local school kids; they train young soon to be adults in real life skills that can be applied to most workforces.

Good local supermarket. Fried chicken is excellent and seems to have been upgraded recently. One of the last Supermarkets still owned by a local family.

Cool store in Newville that has pretty much everything you may need. Prices are high but that's the cost of doing business by not supporting a corporation. It's been there a long time and hope it's always around.

The main draw here is the subs made to order. Twice the size of Subway for the same price. Very nice selection of quality meat also. I travel from Carlisle for the subs and get groceries while I'm there.

Nov 2023: You got to be kidding me! Who does not know how to make an Italian Sub? For real, where is the rest of it???? What a waste of my time and money.2019: Friendly people, with a store full of tasty food. They even have a sandwich and hot food station with a place to sit down and eat. We have always been pleased here. Also sells gas.

This may be a small town grocery store but it beats the big corporate stores. They also have a large bakery,sandwiches made to order, and a very large hot bar and a nice sized salad bar. I love this store!!

They have the best donuts 🍩! Their fried chicken 🍗 is amazing! Unfortunately, right now, due to the lack of enough employees, they had to reduce their hot bar menu drastically. Hopefully soon they will have enough staff to make more. I also love their chicken strips, which right now they do not have. My son and my niece love ❤️ their baked macaroni and cheese 🧀. I have found their prices are competitive with other big name stores. This store is the best hometown store ever!!

Prices steeper than other stores but it's always clean, shelves never empty, great staff and people always seem to know where things are or will help you find them. Great for a quick trip or your weekly grocery needs. Also has a bank and a floral department inside of you have that need. Also THERE IS A PHOTO PRINTING MACHINE IN HERE THAT WILL PRINT FROM YOUR PHONE. cheaper and faster than Walmart photo center.

This store is still going strong. I've since moved away from Newville, but I grew up here and this market was always a highlight. Best donuts around to get in the mornings, and I have never tasted better subs anywhere. Subway has nothing on Saylors. If nothing else, come and try their amazing custom hoggies! I always stop by when I visit Pennsylvania and I'm making sure to get food here when I do, and get extra for the road!

I have loved Saylors Market since my first visit shortly after the pandemic began. I love the produce section with everything just so fresh! In fact, I picked up some white peaches today... Holy cow!! They're amazing!! I also picked up sourdough rolls... Yeah... You read that right!! Along with the fried chicken I picked up and the Mac n cheese...I ate like I was starving!😂😂😂The folks there are always so sweet and kind. The very nice woman at the register was the best... As was the lady that gave me the chicken. I'm never disappointed when I go to Saylors. Everything is clean, it's always neat, the prices are great, and the people are dynamite! What else could I ask for?

Decent prices and selection. Never have to wait long in line as they do a great job staffing the store. The staff is exceedingly polite and friendly. In house bakery is delicious and their hot bar is pretty good. Also Location location location!!! Right outside of Newville proper a large parking lot and gas pumps make this an all around good store.

Sailors is a nice store. Friendly sales people. Only complaint I have is the sub making area. Ordered 2 16 inch subs extra cheese and got 2 slices ham 2 slices roast beef and 3 slices provolone cheese Not worth $9.99 sorry not buying there no more

It has been at least 4 years since I have been to Saylors because I live out of town. I have always enjoyed getting food at their deli & salad bar. I went there recently & was greatly disappointed over their customer service as well as their food. Their pricing was way overpriced & I couldn't get over it because the cost of living isn't high in that area. They lost a customer & I will not be going out of my way to go there any longer.
