Stopped in to pick up cold medicine and used self checkout. Needed an employee to authorize purchase, but there was no one around. Walked out because I couldn’t find an employee in the store. Went to Family Dollar.

The store always looks like a disaster. Shipping boxes stacked everywhere and floors that may have been cleaned a year or two ago. I stopped recently at 8:25am and a manager was already outside standing on front sidewalk smoking a cigarette. She proudly let me know she was the only employee present so the store was unattended inside. A few customers were inside shopping. Since the store opens at 8:00am I think the company should mount ashtrays next to the cash registers so the employees and managers can smoke while ringing up customers.

Horrible customer service. I spent maybe 10 minutes in this store and was greeted 4 different times by the same kid (Quentin), then while looking for items he came through the aisle i was in with the aisle wide broom and asked me to move while he swept? I work in customer service and that would never be allowed in any work place. Then while still looking for items, he asked if I would be ready to check out soon. Again, horrible customer service. But the obvious employee who was shopping off of the clock wasn’t rushed at all. Management definitely needs to get things under control.

Absolutely done shopping here. Customer service is horrible to say the very least... if u wanna hear the Jerry springer life story from any of the clerks, I'm sure u would love the drama. Meanwhile every time, and I do mean every time I stop to pick up a few items, literally 3 or 4 for convenience, I have to stand in line while "Betty joe" or "Sally sue" tell about how "gerald" went to jail bc he beat his wife or got a dui. The ice chest seems to be an issue for the store, as the last time they lost the key, it wasn't unlocked at 1pm and I had to wait for a refund and the 10 minute search for this Golden key that held the line up. Today I made my finally stop, checked locks, again 1pm they were locked. Waited second in line for 10 min listening to the story's from what I can describe seemed to be as straight from the police reports. I get to counter ask if they have ice, yes, ok do you have the key, the chest is unlocked. Noma'am, i just checked when i walked in and its locked. "No its not " she proclaimed. As another lady walked out with the key, I paid, followed her out, took my ice, never to return to this store again. I'd rather wait behind 3 poeple getting groceries next door and be checked out faster w ne headache.

I love how convenient Dollar General is. When I don't feel up to dealing with the crowds in the Super stores, it's pleasant knowing there's a Dollar General, most likely, close by where I can be in and out with what I'm looking for efficiently. The prices aren't too astronomical either in comparison to other convenient department stores where you may spend your whole Family's Dollar.

Great stock and prices overall. The store is quite new and well kept but they allow employees and customers to freely remove masks or enter with no masks (whole families, not just individuals).

Why is the store such a mess ???People standing around eating chatting in the back room, tough to find any help. The shelves are a mess, stuff on the floor and boxes laying around for weeks with product to be put out. I hate going in there anymore.

It's not a trip to the dollar general without Ms. Millie. Very nice people, and very attentive, they always ask me if I need help. A very nice store.

Nice to have a store in Newville, it is fairly new. I just purchased some items here today and they are running a special discount for military/veterans and their family members. You can find most household items here that you would find at Walmart and it's a lot more convenient, being that the nearest Walmart is at least 20 minutes away.

The place is a mess people not doing there task some girl that works in there her boyfriend sit in the park lot all her shift the manger doesn't not do anything to help

Able to get alot of items that are needed all in the same place with covid-19 we've got to go out as little as possible and here allows me to limit the number of places I have to go
