Love Dogs&Cats Rule for all my more niche pet needs!! When I’m looking for special treats, specific toys/puzzles, a certain brand or something that fits my dog who is outside the range of sizes most chains offer, I’m at Dogs&Cats. I always find what I need here. Staff is generally young, has always been friendly to us as customers.It’s a bit cramped inside and there’s a bunch of loose items, so fair warning if you have any mobility issues or a larger dog.

The store was very well stocked and prices were decent. I’m only giving 3 stars bc we were sold the wrong size Suitical, after they measured our pup and told us what size we needed. They would not let me return it and it was 32.00! I had to purchase another one on Amazon and it was a perfect fit. They sold me a 3xsmall- her actual size was a medium!!

I have been going to Dogs and Cats Rule for about 15 years to get supplies for several different cats. This is hands-down the best place to go to find pet provisions -- especially when it comes to food. They have nutrition and treat options that can't be found at larger chain stores that will satisfy every picky eater and every special diet.At this store, there is much, MUCH more selection of food, toys, and other items for dogs than there is for cats, but unfortunately, that's the case in EVERY pet store. Still, for the felines, they have a wider variety of grain-free foods than can be found anywhere else.I especially love this Dogs and Cats Rule now that they have moved into their larger space. Their old Newtown storefront was extremely cramped -- so much so that even a petite person like myself could barely turn around in an aisle if I was carrying a shopping basket! The new space is roomy and comfortable.The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the prices are really high. To be fair, the prices on food are only slightly higher than average, and I don't mind that because as I wrote, you can find foods here that are impossible to find in grocery stores and difficult to find in other pet stores. But the prices on toys, beds, dishes, and other supplies are really inflated -- even for Newtown.

I have been shopping at this store since it was "Reigning Cats and Dogs" at the flagship in Newtown. Their growth is a reflection of their expertise in merchandising, consumer knowledge, and superior customer service. Thank you for serving our area so well for so many years. Your two-legged and four-legged customers appreciate it! Five woofs!

Our diabetic cat was having problems. When I visited the store the owner provided me with more and better advice than the Vets could provide. They directed me towards food that eliminated our cats issues and she still lives and is in great condition. I recomend this store and owner to every pet owner.

Not a great experience at all. Store has great items, but no so great customer service! Charming girl at the register was beyond rude and nasty for my entire transaction! She needs a lesson in respect and acceptable customer service. Had to laugh at the advertisement for part time help as it clearly states that associates need to be "friendly" and provide the "best customer service experience." I guess my associate fell through the cracks on that one. Very disappointed and I know that I am not the only one who has had a poor experience there.

Dogs & Cats Rule is the Department Store for Pets. From food to collars, this place has everything you need for your furbabies. The staff is friendly and always available to help you pick out the right food or pet bed.

Absolutely the best place for all your pets' dietary and nutritional needs. Don't be fooled by those attempting to market their own "dog food". Dogs and Cats Rule simply carries the highest quality dry and raw foods you can hope to find by prestigious companies who have actually proven they understand dog nutrition. George the owner is a fantastic and pleasant gentleman who believes in core values- hard to come by these days. All of their staff, no matter which location you go to are knowledgeable, pleasant and friendly. As a professional dog trainer, I would not send my clients anywhere else!

Very cute little store, apparently part of a local mom-and-pop chain, very well-stocked with different items. The manager on duty, Lisa, recently on my first visit there was delightful to deal with and as I did not have my two dogs with me give me a break on a purchase to make sure that they were able to adapt to the item. Unfortunately I had purchased the wrong size article and therefore needed to return it and did so with no problem. highly recommend them if you like something different for your pets and shopping locally.

We've been coming here since we got our cat. The staff knows us well 😊. They keep the store clean and displayed nicely. They also have great connections to get just about any natural and holistic pet supplies you're looking for, which is super helpful.

Very good selection of dog and cat foods, pet accessories, dogs and cats supplements, and lots of toys. Some prices are a bit higher but extensive supplies worth it. Really appreciate some of the staff offer to bring large bags of food out to your car!

I love the dog and cats rule staff. They are always very friendly as well as educated on any question I may have about dog food or other dog related issues. Their selection is excellent and the quality of merchandise is very good.

I have gone here a few times to find a specialty dog food that is hard to find. I was pleased with the service the first couple of times, but I found the sales people to be a little condescending, both to me and other customers. They seem to get very rude once you express a desire to buy anything except their most expensive brands. They were rude to me when I bought cheap cat treats, but then became nicer once I picked up my expensive dog food. One of the sales people even made disparaging remarks about veterinarians, saying they only care about money and that is why they prescribe certain foods. I'm a veterinarian and was disappointed to see a pet food store trying to create a divide between pet owners and veterinarians just to make money. I would love to see a pet store that works with veterinarians rather than resorting to false statements in the name of greed.

Left empty handed after coming in for frozen Open Farm Dog food. Freezer section was picked bare. The 3 people working there offered no help other than to say the freezer had been acting up. I really expect more from D&CR, maybe I am spoiled from the consistent stellar service at your other locations.

This is a small store that packs a huge punch! The staff greet you immediately and are all super knowledgeable!Not sure what to get? Don't worry, they will guide you and offer you samples, yes samples of foods to try!I live in Bensalem and the 20 minute or so commute is so worth it!!!

I have been coming here for years but lately Rachel and Lyndsey have saved me hundreds of dollars in vet bills. My cat all of a sudden was vomiting and had watery stools every day.My vet VCA of Delaware Valley in Levittown was running test after test to no avail. Everything was a hit or miss. Saw 2 different vets...not one of them said she may have a allergy to her vet prescribed Royal Canin cat food which had potatoes as its first ingredient and cats don't have the digestive system to properly digest starches yet this was prescribed by a "doctor". Anyway the employee s here worked with me through trial n error and allowed me to return the food she did not like and we found one that did and she no longer has any vomiting or loose stools. Point being really really look int9 the food u r feeding your pet. It may be a little more expensive however u will save money in the long run. So much vet prescribed n grocery store food comes from China and even if not directly some portion of it may. Everything they have in stock here is safe and sound.may have a food alleshe Roed with me through trial n error retuing.

Cats & Dog Rule is a cute little shop. It can be pricey. VCA offers coupons but there for one use. Although a had multiple visits and spent $10,000.00 at VCA. Dogs & Cats rule would only allow one use.
