The photo says it all. As someone that’s never seen the ridge-and-valley Appalachians before, driving through the turnpike, and pulling off to see this spectacular view was a breathtaking experience. Between Philly and Pittsburgh, there were several facets of nature that I, as a Texan, had simply never seen before. I mean, red leaves? Our most common trees are evergreens. The fog of the morning, mixed with the cool, crisp, autumnal air; combined with the unique architecture of the (I believe they are) grain silos, and the geographically unique terrain provided an excellent photograph and an excellent short break from the country’s best toll road. If you know of a better toll road, other than the one near me with the highest posted limit of 85mph, please let me know.

For Starbucks only we got the best vanilla chai latte actually hot here at this location and had three wonderful people that were so kind that waited on us Keith, Ryanna, & Ayana!! Amazing super friendly, wish all the Starbucks had kind people like them!! 😊

Best for last. The good: Seemed clean and well maintained, very grateful for turpike reststops. The bad: Sbarro hours are NOT accurate. Do not believe them if it says they are open. Roy Rogers is way overpriced. I know prices are up, but over $22 for chicken and 2 sides is ridiculous. I can get a grilled sirloin steak and 3 sides from Cracker Barrel for $15.39 (I checked).Best: Found a hidden gem in the form of a sub, hero, grinder (depending on where you are from). THE 7-11 had a deli cooler with local made subs that interested me enough to get a couple for the trip. I just had the first one and deeply regret not getting more. Better than Subway for value and was a great sub IMHO. It was an R&K Subs - Italian with peppers large sub for only $6.99.

This "rest stop" is right off 76 before going thru the tunnel. They have clean bathrooms, a few restaurants, and a 7- eleven. (With great and needed coffee) . Sunoco gas is on the other end. It is really easy to get off the highway and enter. Tons and tons of car parking. The 18 wheelers have their own lot in the back. Everything is label well as you drive in so you know where to park. It is a great place to stop for a break and snacks or take out food (Roy Roger's) Starbucks is usually never open.

Large, clean restrooms. Starbucks is cash only! The convenience store would not give cash back. Only one restaurant open.

Stopped for a restroom break on the morning of 12/23/23.Poor planning and execution by maintenance staff...The Mens Room is divided into two parts via a partition of sorts. The larger portion of the room being on the left and a smaller portion to the right of the partition. On the day of my visit at 10AM, the larger left side of the room was taped off (closed)...leaving only the smaller portion open. This led to a crowded situation due to it being a busy travel day as the capacity of the room was reduced by at least 50%.If the closure was due to normal maintenance, mopping, etc, this should have been done earlier in the day instead of waiting until the place got busy.

It's a service plaza on the PA Turnpike midway between Philly and PGH. There's no expectation except an opportunity to use a clean facility... It was!Two sodas from the convince store--charged correctly. Two slices of pizza from Sbarro. I've had way better and hotter. A JavaChip Frappuccino from Starbucks is cold, not frozen! My "no expectation" was overwhelming meet.Five gas pumps, one out of order caused a little confusion "to fill up".Again, it was a Turnpike plaza! I never leave home to patronize one. And rightfully, I never will. The restroom was the highlight!!!

The only real food place open is Roy Roger's ( it's a five star for me), but Sbarro and Auntie Ann's are closed. Starbucks is open and 7 -11 is too, they have some pre-made sandwiches. Ladies room is what really brings the rating down. Not exceptionally clean. Not the fault of the staff, women are just not clean. It's over all a good place to stop on the PA turnpike, but services are limited

Roy Rogers and Starbucks and convenience store were the only thing open. We stopped for Sbarro pizza and auntie Anne's pretzels but both places were closed....restrooms were fine. Plenty of women's stalls.

Hanukkah has been over for several days now. This is a nice Blue and white Hanukkah tree. It would be nice to see you replace it with a christmas tree

I would like some other food options, but it serves your needs when you must stop.

The dirtiest service plaza I’ve ever entered into in my life, there was so much trash and litter in the parking lot. The waste bins were overflowing along with the pet waste disposal. Roy Rogers was the only place open, food options are limited at best, The turnpike needs to take signs down advertising this place as a food exit at best a convenience store. Perhaps if Governor Wolf Would stop incentivizing people to stay home, instead of earning a living we would NOT have such an issue. If zero was a rating option, I would have chose that. I will be packing a cooler from now on, so my family is not subjected to utter filth.

This place is so epic. I always use the bathroom here and have been since I was in diapers. Epic bathrooms. Epic food. So entirely cool and always clean for a rest stop. Very very epic and cool. Their food is also super epic. All the food is fire af. They have so many choices and there is a whole bunch of seating if you got a big group of people that wanna munch up! They also got these massage chairs for when your body is aching after driving for so long and that’s also pretty epic. I’d rate them above a 5/5 if I could. But I can not, so 5 stars it is! How epic.

Fairly large rest stop that does not seem to get overly crowded. I’ve stopped there several times now, the facility is always clean and well kept. There is a 7-eleven, Roy rogers, and Starbucks inside

This is a favorite stop along the turnpike. I got Auntie Anne's pretzel nuggets. The nuggets were the best I ever ate. Clean bathrooms. Fast and easy to fuel up your vehicle. Love this stop every time I take the turnpike.

Restrooms very clean. Internet issues meant Starbucks and Roy Roger's could only take cash but at least ATM and gas pumps working. Food decent. Starbucks only had one employee working but she rocked it out.

Although food was good it was very expensive. Tables were sticky and crumbs all over them. SUGGESTION: have someone just to wipe off tables and sweep floors

Good service plaza. Kept clean enough despite serving so many people per day. Availability of restaurants and shops is variable.

Clean, accessible bathrooms. Gas, food, drink, and a small convenience store on the premise. The Auntie Anne's appeared closed when we were there, however.

My radio tends to loose signal around this area and I have to pull over and restart my car to get the Bluetooth to reconnect. Besides having to restart my car, I stop for the bathrooms (which are pretty clean), gas, and Clyde's Coffee inside the 711 is always good to help re-energize I just wish I could redeem my 711 points at the turnpike locations.
