If you haven't been to Carey and Schnalzer you are missing out on high quality food at great prices. They have the best sausages and steaks. Their ground beef is perfect and priced right. They have all kinds of prepared foods too. This is where I go for meats to grill or throw in the smoker. They even have homemade dog food. My dogs love it and my dogs are picky eaters. I make my own dog food at home so I know good quality when I see it. This is a well balanced meal for your dog. I highly recommend this place!

I’m so glad to have a local butcher shop like them around here! Price point is good and you’re getting quality meat. And I’m telling you, you will NOT be disappointed if you get the blueberry breakfast sausages. Those things are scrumptious.

I definitely recommend the meats , they are wonderful. But the older woman who works there is ALWAYS rude . Been there many times and when she is in the store I get the feeling she only wants you to buy and then get the hell out of the store. Bought a wonderful smoked sausage there . She snapped the whole thing in half in order to weigh it on the scales. Had she been a professional she would have used the knife to do a clean cut. She would do more business if she were a lot nicer to people because word travels.

Awesome butcher shop! Excellent quality and variety of meats. Went down for curring salt and the butcher gave me tips on how to cure my fresh ham. We are smoking it ourselves for Christmas on the Weber grill. Left with a bag full of delicious meats and ate the homemade landjagger on the way home : ). Worth the trip over the mountain!

Best smoked meats around. Smoked bacon is phenomenal! Once you make it you can't eat store bought again. Smoked pork chops and ham is top notch. Sausage is also the best in the area. Don't take my word for it, get there and try for yourself.

We just had jalapeno cheese hot dogs at their stand at "Night in the Country". So delicious. We will definitely go to their store to check out the rest of their products!

Visited yesterday afternoon. Made it just in time before closing time. Roughly 4:57 pm. Older lady behind counter must not have been to happy to receive a late customer. Asked her about fresh pre made burger patties, etc. Received short, rude answers. Still went on to purchase several things, every time I asked for something the words " ANYTHING ELSE" came out of her mouth. Sorry I spent 30 dollars at the store with rushed, rude service such as this. I will never return. Small town America is dying at an exceptionally sad rate, and this kind of service is not helping that cause.

Great little Butcher on a side road. Definitely make the stop.These guys are small but have a great range of Suasages, links and an absolutely OUT OF THIS WORLD Landjager. They make great kielbasa as well...They also have a fun range of local apple butters, relish and something dubious called 'bacon dressing'...Update: I've been back to this place so many times. The landjäger is still show stopping.

Steaks from a supermarket are not even edible after you get steaks from Hartman's. I usually get 1 1/4-1 1/2 inch rib eyes, they will cut to order.
