Unfortunately, we were unable to adopt guinea pigs due to allergy issues, but I still felt compelled to write a review because that's just how amazing Julene and her rescue are. If you are looking to add guinea pigs to your family, skip the pet shops and reach out to Julene. Her organization is truly a labor of love. You will leave feeling educated, inspired, and in love with guinea pigs.

Absolutely love this Guinea Pig Rescue! Julene and the team are such a caring group of people.It was amazing to see so many well cared for and social guinea pigs.The team will do anything to make sure you are matched up with the perfect piggies! We left our pigs at the boarding house in Castle Shannon for a week during a vacation and thought it was a wonderful experience! The caretakers were so sweet and made us feel so safe about boarding our pigs. The home had many guineas and was impeccably clean! They even provided an update halfway through the trip. Can’t wait to book with them again. Great people!

I'm glad that I was referred to this place by Sara's pets and plants. It's extremely hard to let go of pets you try so hard to care for. I'm glad that I know my piggies are in good hands and will find their furever homes. I will also compliment them on their urgency to jump into action on a piggy that was hanging on for life. It's hard to say goodbye, but knowing they will thrive in their new homes means the world to me. Thank you for giving piggies the second chance they all deserve to have.

I took my grandson, who is 9 years old, to have his guinea pig checked and have her nails trimmed. I was very pleased with Julene Robinson, she is a very intelligent, knowledgeable, and excellent instructor. She taught my grandson how to care for his guinea pig. She showed him how to gently curb his pet from bad habits, like biting. The whole time we were there she was informational, with a great sense of humor. She definitely taught this retired teacher a lot. When we left, my grandson was so excited to try his new knowledge with, Penny, his new pet. Wheek Care is the place I want to take my grandson at least once a month. I think he is really impressed, so am I.

I adopted 2 female siblings (Chloe and Zoe) to be bonded with my young female Allie. They are the sweetest pigs and were very well cared for with their foster family. Both of them are soooo friendly and love to be handled. Everyone was very helpful and accommodating! I will continue to recommend Wheek Care and will definitely go to them in the future for more adoptions!

We had a great experience here today! We adopted two adorable little guinea pigs for our daughter's 12th birthday qnd she couldn't be happier or more excited. Julene was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering every question we had with regard to their health and general care. If you are looking for guinea pigs in this area, THIS is the place to go. I can't recommend it enough. Forget the pet stores and go here instead, you'll be glad you did.

Amazing Guinea Pig Rescue! Home based, founder run. Julene is the best. She knows more about piggies than most vets and has one of the state's most experienced small animal vets for her back up. Want to adopt? Need to surrender? This is it. Also a sanctuary for elderly/disabled piggies.

I had a fantastic experience with the rescue. I brought my two piggies for a health check, and Maura was over the top accommodating. She taught me a few things and explained different aspects of owning guinea pigs. I loved my experience with Maura... so much that I have already sent in an application for adoption through the rescue to expand my herd.

What an amazing rescue! We adopted two guinea pigs front the rescue today. They staff were so helpful and explained everything to us. the owner, the people who are also there are so nice. they do a health check and always make sure you now what you want. there is no rushing and they give and suggest items so you can provide your piggies with the best home they can get. you can count on them like a vet and are open a lot the papers they give are SUPER helpful and i love this place and would 100% go again !!(and i don't even write reviews)
