A lot of workers don't know much about the deals. Or where or if they have product's. They don't greet you at checkout. They don't say have a good day or anything after checkout. The one worker was making fun and being rude to my aunt when she worked there, which caused my aunt to quit.

I choose to support Golden Dawn because they are a small business and not a corporation. We always buy their meats then other things. They do try their best to please customers and they have been, even with the new owners. Prices are to be expected a little higher than bargain-off brand grocery stores. I'll continue to give them our business.

It’s okay here. If you are close it’s good for a fast stop. It’s expensive with a lot of things. They also don’t have a lot of stuff we buy but you can probably find most grocery items. Nothing that would be considered unique. If that makes sense. Like if u wanted Chinese mustard you’re out of luck. Skin care products are scarce. If u want oranges and lettuce and some stuff like that they’ll have.I haven’t tried their steaks but we like really good cuts and doesn’t seem they’ll have that. I can’t say for sure. I’ll update if we ever buy steaks from here.If you are local and wanna have a fast stop this can work. Though just down the street are serval other options.

I enjoy this place for all of my deli meats they also have a nice selection of fresh cut meat where prices are higher than most on some items but lower than most on others so I guess it balances out according to what it is that you need but the store is extremely clean and the staff is friendly

This is a wonderful independent, local supermarket. Their prices are competitive with the "big boys," and their meat and produce are top quality. They've got a whole bunch of really friendly and helpful people working there as well.What I really like is that even when the store is busy...and that's fairly often...you really don't spend a lot of time in the check-out line. There always seems to be enough registers open to handle the traffic, and the cashiers are really good.It is a really great place to shop...unless you're planning on getting something from the deli. (Here's where that 5th star went to.) Unless you happen by the deli counter when there are no other customers there, you are going to spend a lot of time there. There have been times when there have been 4 people working the deli, and exactly 1 person waiting on people. The others are fussing with the prepared food, or making pasta salad or hoagies, and often there are 2 people on "clean up" detail. Which is fine, if you're not busy, but when there are 4 or 5 people at the counter and just one person waiting on them, it's not fair to either the customers, or the poor person trying to get these people their jumbo or chipped ham.Other than that, Golden Dawn is a joy to shop at...deli counter and all, I do recommend it enthusiastically.Edit: Just recently, new owners bought the store and "re-opened" (not that the store ever closed at all, but you know how that works) under new management. I can tell you that all the wonderful things I said about the store still apply. It's still a great place to do your grocery shopping, and the service at the deli has improved.

I moved to the area 3 years ago and recently visited here for the first time. It's a clean store with friendly and knowledgeable staff. The prices are comparable, if not better than, Giant Eagle.

Purchased a loaf of pepperoni cheese bread today. The pepperoni was chipped, small pieces which were lightly scattered on top and were also on the bottom of the bread and were burnt. Only a very few cheese streaks. No pepperoni at all in the body of the bread

The quality of the meat here is very good! I love how clean the place is under new ownership. Clear lines of site when you first walk in made everything feel more bright and open. The old set up was so dreary and full of clutter.

Golden Dawn has the best meat department around!! Always fresh.... no other grocery store even comes close!! Love how convenient it is and the small town feel. I shop here at least 3 times a week ❤

Great little local market. Great breads & meat departments. Product brands are limited but you can't be all things to all people. If you shop there you are supporting a local business; not some large corporation which doesn't appreciate your business. I've never shopped there when it wasn't busy.

I love Golden Dawn. The meat there is the best ever. I used to work in the meat department and their meat is top notch, I buy no other meat at any store. They don't care about fake looks on produce, its fresh , Employees great.

Great product. Deli is filled delicious home made salads and deli meat. I have traveled an hour just to get there pasar and antipasto salad. Can't find it any where else. There in-house deli roast beef is just to die for. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Friendly local grocery store. Prices a little higher than Walmart but competitive with Giant Eagle. Great for your daily grocery needs. Usually the best meat available and the only place to find steak hoagie or chili grind meat.

The best ground beef in the area! Great butcher shop that will take orders for larger quantities of ground beef and ground chuck. Good selection of other groceries and can be a one-stop shopping trip. Great bakery and good prepared foods section. Their kitchen will do larger orders for parties and the like.

Buy all my meat there. Ground Chuck is perfect for any recipe. Just right amount of fat. Pork chops and steaks great. Also love all specialty meats. Also cashiers are GREAT!

This is the only place I will buy meat. Their ground beef and other meats are terrific. There is a fairly decent selection of products, including things you can't find anywhere else. The store is clean and orderly and everyone is friendly, from the managers to the cashiers.

Just went in there on a whim....don't go there very often. Great meat dept. Produce was fresh and nicely priced. Deli was very nice. Couldn't pass up the fried chicken. I'll definitely make it a regular shopping trip.

I really only came here for their cookies. Their 'thumb print' and filled types of cookie from bakery are amazing...and huge! Decided to grab some other stuff and was disappointed that all their ground meat was same. I wanted less fat. But still a good store.

Great place to shop awesome choice of different types of meats in the meat department at very decent prices. Also love there bakery an deli counter with a huge selection of lunch meats. The store is smaller compared 2 places like giant eagle but they have everything a large store has an a lot faster 2 shop at an there check line's are much faster then the larger store's. The best meat around. Steaks, chicken ground beef...all high quality but not over priced. Their home made wedding soup is delicious and is made fresh daily.

The building in and out is a bit outdated. Could use a power wash and some paint so to speak. However that aside, the deli is great. The prices are for the most part fairly honest. A few thing are more expensive here but got to know your prices. We usually come here for our deli items.

Love the meat's here! The meat department is very knowledgeable. The customers on the other had are incredibly rude. You have to give credit to the staff for putting up with these rude older female customers.

Golden Dawn is that little gem of a place where you can only find certain items. You can find different luncheon meat & bakery items that are unique also. In their meat section you can always find something to make for dinner or freeze for later. We're lucky enough to be in walking distance.

This is a great grocery store. It keeps you in mind of the old time family owned neighborhood grocery store that alot of people had growing up.They hire alot of young women and men so to give them a first time job. The store is very clean and the workers are normally pretty friendly.

Produce, fresh meats & pastry items are the solid and consistent choices here. Alot of empty space on their shelves for alot of packaged items. Always new faces in the deli area,, alot of turnover there? They need new ideas on the prepared foods section, although the fresh veggie area is good in variety, they choice to use frozen peas corn carrots mix in the takeaway meals, like cafeteria food from the 70's imo. Could be and used to be better.
