We had been trying to cut our dogs nails for months, and then finally decided to bring her to New Hope Pet Center. Great experience! The young woman working there greeted us at the door, took our dog to the back, and our dog came out 5 minutes later wagging her tail and happy :) Highly recommend. I picked up a bunch of liver treats that I had been looking for while there.

I have been going there for many years. The owners have integrity and really care about your pets. They are like family! Sue is an expert groomer and Ron is an expert on pet care and nutrition. They have a good selection of fine food products and dog and cat-related products. In addition, they carry merchandise for other small pets as well.

I think I'm the only one to leave a not-so-nice review, but it needs to be said. The owners are so friendly, that's why I feel bad writing this. I went there for years buying dog food. I decided to have my dog groomed for the first time in his life (9 years old). I groomed him myself all these years but I have been short on time lately, and what better place than here for his first time? I called and explained that he has a double coat, and I simply needed him brushed out and bathed. The girl on the phone was great at explaining everything in detail. They gave me my appointment time. I arrive that morning and there are 5 other dogs waiting to be taken back, and I don't know how many more already being worked on. An older woman comes out to ''talk" to me. She grabs my nervous dog's leash and pulls him back while I am trying to tell her that I don't want any hair cut off, just a de-shedding and bath. My dog slips out of his collar and jumps closer to me. She loops the leash through the collar and DRAGS him to the back. Not once did she look at him or try to calm him down. I didn't get a chance to fully explain what I wanted, or that he has an arthritic front ankle. She was so rushed trying to get all those dogs taken care of. It was here that I made a huge mistake, because I should have taken that leash right out of her hands and drove home with him. I regret leaving him there everyday. I drove home crying. I know he needed groomed, but he didn't deserve to be treated like that. Six hours later he was done. Wouldn't you know, they cut off his thigh hair, toe hair, and belly hair. When he came out, my dog that jumps around and cries to see me when I've been gone is overwhelmed and almost walks past me, like a robot. He sniffed something in the store while I paid, he walked out, jumped in the car, and rode home like he had no expression in his eyes. I'll never bring him back. It was such a bad experience for me that I found another place to buy dog food. I am so regretful that I didn't rip that leash out of that woman's hand and take my dog home.Maybe they should schedule customers to arrive at intervals.

Staff is wonderful but the grooming....we’ve been using this groomer for a number of years for our scotties, English setters and our King Charles Cavalier spaniel. Always completely satisfied, their cuts have been consistently spot on and no complaints, ever. BEST IN TOWN !!!

Today was our first time visiting the New Hope Pet Center for grooming. Everyone was very professional and friendly and most importantly Lilly was beautifully groomed and very happy and calm when we picked her up.

We had our first experience having our 3 dogs (weighing from 4 lbs to 7 lbs - 1 Yorkie & 2 tiny Shih Tzus w/tumors and other medical problems) groomed by Sue last week. Our 3 "fur" children were way over due for grooming and we didn't know what to expect when we picked them up. They were done exactly as we requested and were calm as could be. Prices are very reasonable and they were done one hour before the estimated time (although drop off and pick up times are flexible). We have definitely found them their "forever" groomer.

Corrine fit us in for an unexpected expression and bath for my rather large dog. She was incredibly gentle with my dog who is not a fan of grooming. She went the extra mile to "express" her as well. Will definitely go back. Prices are very reasonable as well.

I went in to see if this shop carried Royal Canin dog food after my veterinarian recommended I change the food I was feeding my 3 dogs. I had also read FDA reports and the possible links to heart disease with certain dog food brands and that was concerning.The owner was abrupt and rude when I stated my reasons for switching dog food brands citing that my vet didn't know what she was talking about and that I shouldn't believe the FDA reports either. He would have been better served to simply state that they did not carry Royal Canin. Poor manners are never good business practice. Needless to say, I shall never return to that store for any reason.
