I purchased a $10.00 bag of candy the candy bag and contents had a bad odor emanating from them, I'm thinking that they must have an insect infestation at this store, I had to throw away all of it, never going back to this store.

This store needs to fire all the employees they have and start over. You don’t tell customers who literally just walked in that they have to leave because you made the choice to close the store for your on personal benefit. I refuse to believe the excuse that there’s an “emergency” when the facts show this is constantly happening. If the manager is having so called emergencies ever other day then he needs to quit or be replaced. Don’t walk up to customers and tell them they have to leave. Very unprofessional. FYI: There’s an amazing new Dollar General that opened in blue ball I’d recommend avoiding the new holland location at all costs and take the extra couple mins to drive down there. They stay open until their posted hours and actually have products in stock.

If I could give this store a negative 5 I would. I just went to this Dollar General since it shows on Google that they are open. Well to my surprise they were not. They have posted on their door that the hours for today are normal business hours and when I arrived at 6:40 pm their does were locked and stood outside for a few minutes and no one ever showed up. I had to drive further to get the item that I needed, on my return back I stopped again and the doors were still locked. The owner of this franchise needs to get better staff members. This isn't the firstly time that I have arrived to this Dollar General and their doors are locked. When they are open they have staff not wearing their masks properly and using profanity when they talk with familiar customers. I understand that we are in pandemic situation but if you have decided to cut back hours, then don't display normal business all around your door.

As always supply carts blocking isles and shelves. Floor dirty and felt gritty. Only 1 person on register and no one to help when there is a line. Staff always curious. Prices good with most items in stock.

Is it convenient....yes. This store is so disorganized. They always have isles blocked with big HEAVY stocking carts which makes getting to products near impossible and the isles are tiny so it is difficult to get through. The staff is okay, not very welcoming or friendly. The only reason why I ever go here is for pure convenience. I try to avoid

This store ALWAYS has stock carts in the aisles that never get moved and are blocking merchandise on the shelves. When I complain, I'm told the manager won't authorize the extra time to stock the shelves and doesnt care about the carts. They go on to say the District Manager does nothing about it either. I don't need to hear about management problems. I need the shelves stocked and the carts out of the aisles.I no longer go to this store. I take the extra 20 minutes and go to Wal-Mart in Ephrata where I do not have this problem.

Only 1 star... this store is unprofessional, unorganized and closes at all different hours of the day!! I cant say that its convienient because i never know what hours they are open. The staff is often talking badly about other staff... and i dont know why the shelves arent stocked if they are closing 4 hours early thats plenty of time to stock some shelves.

I just moved near this store, so it's my go-to place when I need something quickly. Unfortunately, this store is so completely disorganized that finding what I need quickly is almost impossible. The same type of items are found in 3-4 places in the store (i.e. shower curtains, area rugs, dog food), items are in aisles that don't make sense (i.e. bath rugs in with welcome mats), and there are always things blocking aisles or just thrown all over the floor. Somebody from corporate needs to go in there and help them out!

The shelves are half empty and carts full of inventory block access to what is on the shelves. This is almost always the case and has been for a long time. The store is dirty. There is clearly not enough employees ever. The lines can be very long. One of the employees has very poor personal hygiene habits.

Store is always a mess. Stock not put away. The store was remodeled, worst thing that could have happened. It's worst now no staff, and the ones that are there are stealing. Either get a new solid STAFF or keep taking the losses. What a shame

This store is good if u just need to run in and grab something real quick like milk or a card. The only problem that has been a problem for years is their shelves are sometimes bare and the aisles are blocked by their carts full of inventory

I was in search of pain pills. At as separate location they wanted$8.99 well I'm on a budget so that wasn't happening so I went here the dollar general. I was happy and overjoyed that the the pain pills I was looking for were$2.50. I'm like hallelujah Lord mother child I can afford that and that was for 100 pills. I haven't been her at dg in awhile but I'll start going more often. Thanks dollar general. U have a new loyal customer 😁🤓🤣🙄

Giving it a one-star not based on the staff but based on Dollar General only scheduling one staff at a time. The line was 9 people long today, I got my stuff started waiting in line and then just set it down and walked out because the wait was too long. I frequent several different Dollar General's and this seems to be the norm for all of them. You barely can get down the aisles or get to the items you want because all the stock is sitting in front of it waiting to be put on the shelves. Whenever I ask any of the staff about it in any of the Dollar General stores, they tell me that they are the only staff scheduled. I don't know how Dollar General expects the staff to wait on customers and maintain a neat well-stocked store. I gave up going to Walmart because I prefer Dollar General more but only scheduling one staff at a time has really had a negative impact on the stores. I may find myself back at Walmart again. I do want to add that putting too much on one person will just wear out a good employee and they'll end up quitting.

The cashier (blonde with a yellow mask) said to us when we walked up to the register "you came at the wrong time" then proceeded to exchange money without another word. 1 asile had 4 carts in it. Couldnt even see the other side. The freezers are always broken. Service here is always horrible. But it's the dollar general sooo..

Clean organized store and I LOVE the 70% end of season discounts!! Got a super soaker for under two bucks, a kiddie pool for $2.50, citronella candles for 50 cents, yard ornaments for 30 cents, etc!

They have all of the basic needs, it's walking distance from me and it is really worth it. You would be amazed with what you can find in there, all you got to do is look around and you'll find things that are actually really useful and at an amazing price ☺

As a resident here in New Holland PA, Shopping at Dollar General Main St. New Holland PA. is a great place to shop It's location is perfect for both residence here that live in New Holland PA. and commuters outside who travel to their destinations beyond New Holland PA that may need to purchase much needed last-minute shopping items that's budget-friendly from a venue that practically has it all from light groceries both household cleaning supplies and or small furnishings, to hygiene personal care items. With having very professional, personable, customer service oriented cashiers that are very helpful to help you as a customer make shopping an ease to assist a customer in finding that specific item I'm shopping under time constraints

This is the most convenient general merchandise retail shopping. It used to be much more organized and easy to maneuver around with a cart. Now, after changes, there is not much space to maneuver with a cart.
