Everyone took such great care of my dog Onyx, an American Bully that was having an allergic skin reaction. He was given an injection & sent home with pills to be given for two weeks.Within several hours of bringing him home, he had stopped scratching as much & feeling better.All the staff was very helpful & knew how to make Onyx & me feel comfortable & relaxed.So glad they are there for everyone, won’t go anywhere else.

Re-homed a dog from a bad situation. He had very itchy skin and bad teeth. All vets around me are either not accepting new patients or appointments are 6-8 weeks out. Decided to bring him here. Besides not being able to accompany him, I was very pleased. We got his rabies vaccine, a Cytopoint injection, a wellness check, a quick dental check (one of his bad teeth fell out...one less extraction when we get into a full service vet) and a bath fot $160. To walk in the door at our regular vet is $250 without anything else! Very professional and worth the hour wait. Thank you for helping our bug yesterday!

I have been taking my dog there since 2021. For some strange reason, even though they gave her all her vaccinations, heart worm meds and flea and tick meds, there was no record of her ever having a physical. When I went to refill her flea and tick meds this was a problem. I visibly watched the vet give her a physical everytime we went there but it was never documented.

As far as the vet visit, easy and fast. Trying to get the prescription filled through their website is a nightmare. It's been a week with no approval.

The vet staff were amazing. They were so nice and sweet to my Autumn. Autumn gets stressed out at the vet but the staff was so good with her and helped put her at ease a little bit.

There was a wait but really not bad as the staff was very friendly and helpful. Took great care of our new Kitten for his first check up. Really close to our house so having to wait a little bit wasn't bad at all. Nice to know they are there a couple of times a week and every other Saturday. This is the Vet Clinic at the Tractor Supply in New Freedom.

First of all, if I could give this place 100 stars I would. This is, without a doubt, the absolute best place I've ever taken my dog, Rocky for any services over the past 8 years. Dr. Rittler takes the time to explain to me what is going on with Rocky in terms that are easy to understand. She is extremely personable, and I'm not sure if the term 'bedside manner' applies to veterinarians, but if it does, then she gets an A+. Now that we've discovered this clinic, we can avoid the nervousness that Rocky regularly experienced when going to a large busy full service vet hospital in the past. Rocky loves going to the vet now! Thank you Dr. Rittler for making PetVet New Freedom the perfect place for Rocky's veterinary care!

Dr. Rittler would not fill my older mastiff's medications for joint problems and for bladder control due to her blood work being off. My dog is very old and dying and a vet that will refuse to keep an older dog comfortable in her final days is not a compassionate animal person. I will not be back!

The people serving our dog are terrific. It would be awesome if starting in March - May they could be in every weekend and do it by appointment to avoid my animal the anxiety of just waiting. The wait is over an hour and you have to wait in line vs wait in the car or walk around until your time. Please do not let this take away from the fact the team was very good.

We drive 45 minutes to the York location. I pay $60 a month for my 2 pups in the wellness program. The last year, the York location is rarely open. It closes at the last minute. This past Sunday as we were walking in 10 minutes before they were to open, the techs started walking out. Someone had a tummy ache, so the clinic closed once again We had to then drive another 25 minutes to the Shrewsbury location My one pup was muzzled & taken back to have her nails done. She was stressed as she doesn't like change. She never been there before. She was there 5 minutes & they brought her back out They didn't even try to do her nails. The York location when they were open, never had an issue doing her nails. My other pup got his vaccine 3 months late because of the clinic closing or us being turned away after waiting in line for 2 hours. I'm not getting the proper care for my pups. I used to talk up this program but not anymore. It's a rip off You take my money every month but won't have the clinics stay open to do their jobs. I'm cancelling my "membership" & will not have anything nice to say about this program.Shilo-ann Jacoby

I enjoyed not needing an appointment. However, I am not completely satisfied with the way the process works. There is not enough communication between the Vet staff & pet owners. Today, my puppy is lethargic; she will not eat, drink or play which is highly unusual for her. I was not informed to expect this and there is no one available to ask at PetVet until tomorrow. PetVet should not assume that everyone is a novice. I didn't ask because I did not know this was a possibility. Staff should have informed me!

Worst experience ever. I took my 7 lb dog in to be tested for heartworm on 6/6/2023 at New Freedom Tractor Supply. I was shown the test came back negative for heartworm, but POSITIVE for Lymes. I was given HeartGuard labeled for a 26-50 lb. dog. I immediately took it back and they told me they had labeled it wrong. I then took my dog to my regular vet today to get treated for Lymes and was told, after testing, that she was NEGATIVE. ( PetVet advised that I collect urine and submit a sample and it would cost me another $35. Pet Vet told me that if it came up that she had 'previous' Lymes, they would not prescribe anything. Apparently their testing equipment is way, way off and I believe do this so that they can charge you another fee.) Do yourself a favor and take your pet to a qualified vet the first time. Save yourself time, money and a lot of grief.

The staff was friendly but did not communicate all the things they were doing or did with my puppy. They took her in the room and then when they brought her out they didn’t say anything to me about the shots she got or anything just asked for payment and said come back in 4 weeks. Feel like there could be a bit more communication from their end. I didn’t know where they had given shots so every time I picked my puppy up this morning she would yelp.

Everyone in the petvet clinic at the Tractor Supply in New Freedom were great.Very helpful,great with our puppy.They answered all of our questions and took really good care of our 7 month old rottweiler puppy.We will definitely use this vet again.

The vets, vet techs and manager are SO kind. They were able to see my dog in a timely manner and give him exceptional care. I was also able to purchase some flea and tick medicine.10/10 recommend coming here for all your regular shots, rabies and any preventative care you may need. Also, you can ship around the store if you need any other pet supplies.

I tried calling several times to get information on available vaccines for my dog. Left two messages over two different days they were "open." Finally got a call back but I missed the call. Called them back at 6:12 pm and talked to the vet tech. She gave me the prices and I asked what time are you open until tonight. She responded with 7pm. I said great, how close to 7pm can it be in which she said right up until 7pm. I said great as a drove in. I arrived at 6:40pm and another vet tech said, sorry we can't do anything else tonight. The Vet left for the day. I explained what I was told on the phone and she said the last appt is taken at 6:45pm and then the Vet leaves. I look at my watch and say, uh, it's not even 6:45 and you have no patients. She said, sorry, not happening, come back on Thursday.I replied, I could but I won't. I'll pay higher prices elsewhere for a Vet that actually does their job and not leave early. This is the second time dealing with this "service" and both times have been ridiculous. I will not use them now or in the future. I've seen the Vet the first time I was in a few weeks ago and she hates her job and no people soft skills at all. Tractor Supply really should look for another similar service that actually wants to treat the customers well and respects their time and money being spent there. If you're reading this review, I wish you luck and a better experience.

During Covid my neighborhood veterinarian closed, pretty much without warning. So, September 2021, I decided to take a chance with PetVet, Shrewsbury, PA location, planning on it being a one time visit, while my local vet was closed.My experience with PetVet was so great in 2021 that we just had our second annual with them for 2022. Fortunately, my two dogs are in good health, so we don't have recurring issues that need to be addressed. PetVet is perfect.Slight wait time if there's a line, but that's a small price to pay for their excellent service and very reasonable fees. They have never tried to upsell unnecessary testing or products, and the final cost is significantly less than what I've experienced with independent veterinary practices. Love their staff, too.Very highly recommend!
