Dr. Giri has done TPLO surgery on both knees of our 7 yr old golden retriever. We could not be happier with the care our dog received. He gives an all in price up front and he sticks to that price. The process is much less stressful knowing exactly how much it's going to cost and not having to worry how much is this visit going to cost every time you have a follow up visit. He takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about your animals recovery. He is always willing to explain the process and answers questions. Dr. Giri was amazing. Our pit bull needed TPLO surgery and everywhere else quoted us an ungodly amount for the surgery. Dr. Giri was very understanding and affordable. He made us feel like he cared about our baby instead of just looking to make money off the surgery. He was very helpful along each step of the surgery and the recovery. Our baby is now 100 percent healed and as healthy as can be! We are so grateful for Dr. Giri and his team. I highly recommend using him for all TPLO surgeries.

We took our dog Ollie here to get a second opinion and quote for removal of a tumor. They were able to squeeze us in same day and we ultimately decided to use Rainbow vet as they use a laser for surgery which helps with recovery and bleeding. The surgery and recovery went very well and everything has healed up nicely without any issues. They are usually able to get you in very quickly to be seen and are reasonably priced. Dr. Giri is very knowledgeable and all of the staff was great. We will continue to come here!

The vet is pretty gruff so if your pet needs someone slow and gentle this isn't the place. Also pretty sure he sold us antibiotics for a disease our dog doesn't have. A second vet told us that an additional test is necessary to confirm that diagnosis and he didn't run that test. We're going to find someone else.

Dr. Giri performed TPLO surgery on our dog, Daisy. This was the second TPLO procedure Dr. Giri has performed on Daisy as she had the same issue occur to her left hind leg two years earlier. This procedure was much more difficult as she had luxation of her right hip. Thankfully, Dr. Giri assured me that while the recovery would be a bit longer, he ultimately expected a positive result and a positive result is what we got. We couldn't be happier with the outcome and Daisy has the energy of a puppy again. Our area is truly blessed to have someone as knowledgeable and as empathetic as him. If you are in need of this procedure for your pet, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Giri!

I was very happy with the TPLO surgery my husky/Shepard had in January. He’s recovering well and seems to get stronger daily. Found out with X-rays he also had hip dysplasia and will a change in dog food that is also going well.

Highly recommend Dr Giri for TPLO surgery. My boxer had one leg done by him already and is awaiting the second. She was putting weight on her leg in no time and has recovered very well. Cost was extremely reasonable - best around and no surprise fees. Post-Op instructions easy to follow. No issues with the surgery at all. Dr Giri is so compassionate and you can tell by talking with him that he loves his job, loves the animals in his care, and is proud of the work he does-as he should be.

So thankful for Dr Giri. I had been trying to find a place to help my dogs ACL injury. Was given Rainbow Veterinary's name & called. They were able to see Ella that week & had surgery by the following week. Dr Giri is wonderful! TPLO is a 3 month recovery process but if you follow Dr Giri directions your pup will be back to normal in no time.

I had the tplo surgery done on my girl american bulldog she's 96 lbs and has walked with a limp for months getting worse and worse cause of torn acl ligaments but Dr giri scheduled the surgery for a reasonable price and everything included for this procedure after the surgery first two weeks are rough but she's fully recovered and can walk perfectly fine and run or play again everything he did worked wonders for my dogs quality of life we very much appreciate him for going above and beyond for our pet family I would highly recommend him to anyone needing leg sugery for beloved pets THANK U rainbow 🌈

He did a great job and his staff was very caring for my dog. He explains the therapy your need to do at home and you WILL NOT beat his price!! I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Giri and his wonderful staff when my 8 year old cocker spaniel, Teea, needed a TECA done, total ear canulation ablation, due to chronic ear infections. When I went for the consultation, I wasn't sure I wanted her to have it because it is a very involved, and tedious surgery and not all vets perform it. I walked into the facility and noticed how clean everything was and how nice and pleasant the receptionist was, she even offered me a bottle of water. During the consultation, Dr. Giri explained the procedure in great detail. I decided Teea would have it done. After the surgery, Dr. Giri called me to give me an update and also stated the Teea definitely needed the procedure done. After a two night hospital stay, I picked her up and Dr. Giri explained the discharge instructions in great detail, not the receptionist which is usually the case at most vet offices. The staff was incredibly nice and compassionate with Teea. They treated and loved her like she was one of their own furbabies. I would definitely refer Rainbow Veterinary Hospital to anyone who is looking for a vet. Many thanks to everyone!!

Our dog had TPLO surgery about a month ago and I am very pleased with the service provided by Dr. Giri and his staff. They were very thorough in the examination and made sure that the procedure was 100% required by sending the x-rays to a 3rd party for review.Prior to surgery, Dr. Giri asked me several times if I had any questions. He wants to make sure you understand the seriousness of the surgery and responsibilities of the pet owner to ensure the best outcome possible. Our dog is very, very high energy so keeping him confined after the surgery was not an easy process. The first two weeks are the worst and then things get progressively better. Dr. Giri is conservative and will schedule several visits to make sure things are healing as they should be. All of those are included in the estimate given prior to surgery so you don't have to worry about extra costs.The price was reasonable and when you schedule this procedure, your dog is the only patient that day. Dr. Giri wants to make sure that your pet gets all the attention required.Although Dr. Giri will answer every question you have, I highly recommend researching this procedure to make sure you are aware of everything involved. There are lots of YouTube videos you can watch to see what to expect and how dogs will progress after this procedure. Getting all of the information possible beforehand is beneficial to you and your dog.8/4/23 Update:About a week before my dog was going in for his 3 month checkup/release he started limping on his other leg. I was pretty sure he was part of the 60% of dogs that tear the other DCL after surgery so I asked Dr. Giri to do a full exam on the other leg and measure it for the future surgery. Dr. Giri did that and said it was a partial tear and would need surgery in the future. I wanted to wait a bit longer to build up strength in the other leg however about two weeks later it progressed to a full tear.The earliest appointment Dr. Giri was able to fit in was three weeks out. This tear was significantly worse than the first so for 3 weeks my dog was unable to use his right-rear leg. Needless to say that was not fun for any of us.We took our dog to Dr. Giri 4 months after the previous surgery and Dr. Giri mentioned the 2nd opinion did not believe the CCL was torn so I had to sign paperwork approving the surgery since the 2nd opinion said he didn't need it. Obviously, the 2nd opinion was not correct.We brought our dog home the day after the surgery and getting up and down was much more difficult this time because the first leg was not as strong since it wasn't used as much. That being said, after 3 days at home he started using the other leg. Every day it progressed and after about two weeks, he was consistently using it more and more. To be perfectly honest, he was significantly better than pre-surgery 3 days after. I expected things to be worse this time around and it was way better. Mainly because my dog and basically all of us knew what to expect. He was already familiar with the ramps and restrictions.We are now 6 weeks past his second surgery and he has no issues walking 15-20 minutes a few times/day. He still doesn't walk with the 2nd leg perfectly straight yet but I think in the next few weeks that will be fine as well.Needless to say, we are extremely happy with the services from Dr. Giri. Although my dog dislikes going there, it is amazing the rebound he has made.

Dr. Giri went above and beyond to ensure my Doberman had a successful TPLO surgery. I was very nervous about the surgery but he explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions. His price was extremely reasonable and included everything (x-rays, cone, medication, even a stay overnight after surgery to ensure his recovery was off to a great start). TPLO SurgeryMy 5 year old mixed breed, 50 pound female pup, Pacina injured her left rear leg playing with my other dog, twice her size. After taking her to Rainbow, we found out it was an ACL injury and she would require surgery. Dr. Giri was amazing in explaining the surgery, and what to expect with the procedure. Unlike what my friend had experienced with the same surgery at another "unnamed" major pet hospital in Pittsburgh - Dr. Giri treated Pacina like she was his dog. She wasn't booted out a few hours after the surgery, but kept for 2 additional days after the surgery, ensuring a great start to her recovery. Due to a scheduled business trip, I paid to keep her there for an additional week, and the staff was amazing to her.... she didnt want to leave them. The surgery was HALF of what the big hospital wanted... HALF. All of her drugs, cone, follow ups, you name it, were all included.I'm thankful to say she is 17 days post op right now. Her incision is completely healed, shes walking and recovering more and more every day.I cant thank him enough for what hes done for her.If your dog is experiencing a rear leg injury - I suggest you consider Dr. Giri. He will help you out, and not break your bank.16 months later - not a hiccup since. Still my go to vet!

Our pitbull, Raven, had two torn ACLs and one torn meniscus. Our vet office recommended Dr. Giri to perform the surgeries, and we are so glad they did. Dr. Giri performed two TPLO surgeries eight weeks apart. Both surgeries were a success! We called the office with questions after hours and he had us bring her in to check on her (after hours). He doesn't charge for these post-op visits, and the price of the surgeries was reasonable compared to other places. Dr. Giri is very thorough and knowledgable about this type of procedure. HIGHLY recommend if your dog is in need of TPLO surgery.

Switch to Rainbow when my Boxer had an emergency and her vet couldn't fit her in. Then, a week after getting a new Border Collie pup, he severely broke his paw again they took him right away! Dr Giri has gone above and beyond for my dogs. The last dog I had lived for 15 years, and I seriously doubt she would have lived that long without Dr Giri. She had multiple problems as she aged: skin tumors, enlarged heart, elevated liver enzymes. Dr. Giri treated her with all of the proper testing and surgeries that were needed for my dog to continue a very happy life.
