Have had the plumbing side of the business out to my house twice in the past 3-4 months, off of the recommendation of a friend. Both times they were very responsive and here within a day.First was a clog in a basement drain in Nov 2023. Explained what he was doing every step of the way and very professional.Second time was Feb 2024 for a failing water heater. I’d called after hours the evening I discovered it, and had a call after they were open the next morning. They were out to my house within an hour of returning my call. Again explained what they were doing as they went along, and when I expressed surprise that they were out so quick, is that they make water heater issues a priority.Highly recommend if you are looking for a good plumber in the A-K Valley.

No call no show twice. Supposed to be there at 7:30 but no show. At 9:30 I called and left a message. They call back and say they tried calling which they didn’t that’s why they no showed but would get me as soon as they finish the job they were on and would call when on way. Again no call no show. I was at my girlfriend’s house for nine hours. Uncomfortable because she was at work for nothing. Sad service. Never even called since to explain. Just said screw me I guess.

I called around locally and first spoke to bash plumbing which recommended Arnold and sons so I gave them a call for a sewer line cleaning. They sent out someone the same day within an hour. The gentleman was extremely helpful and did a great job clearing out the blockage. I couldn't have been more satisfied with the work to be honest and the price was amazing for the service. I will be keeping their number close by for all my rental properties in the area. Thanks again !

Like most contractors in this area Doug talks to his customer like everything is the customer's fault and nothing is his fault. I'm on a fixed income and went with Arnold because they will send you a bill. Paid every one for about 5 years on time and in full. This time I am 2 months behind on a whopping total of 372 dollars. Been leaving messages for a week and yesterday received the gas valve/thermostat via UPS under warranty. Today they decided that they're not coming out until I pay my bill 💵. I've been without hot 🔥 water for a week. Thanks guys. I've spoken to many people around town recommending your business. I'll pay my bill 💵 but will never use their services again.

When I lived in Natrona Heights years ago, Arnold's was my go-to hardware store. I'm across the river now, but I still bring my lawn mower to them every spring for it's "tune up." Of all the places I've got to for mower service, Arnold's is definitely the most thorough, as well as the most reasonable when it comes to cost. What I really like is that they will attempt to do a repair on the mower before they recommend replacing parts. They've also had the quickest turnaround time.When it comes to other hardware needs, the staff there is knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. They can quickly locate whatever it is you're looking for, and if they don't have it, they'll either order it, or can tell you who will have your part.When I lived up in the Heights, I rented an older house. Once, I attempted a fairly simple shower repair. When I went up to Arnold's to get the part, they told me not only that they didn't have it, but that the part was no longer being manufactured. Instead of trying to convince me to buy two whole new assemblies (hot and cold water) and replacing what I had (a much more involved, and expensive job), they directed me to a shop in Downtown Pittsburgh that specialized in obtaining and stocking these sorts of obsolete plumbing parts.Passing on a sale in order to provide the service I wanted is the mark of a business that I will recommend to anybody without hesitation.

Review is strictly for the plumbing side of the business. Hot water heater was leaking all over our basement so called them since they are local and neighbors recommended. Was told someone would be here between 2 and 4 today. No one showed up or called. We waited til 430 and called them but it went to voicemail. Don’t bother with these guys for plumbing service.

For a local small-town hardware and equipment rental joint, this place is on the ball. It's always nice when you can support your local businesses as opposed to handing your hard-earned money over to the big box retailers, especially when these guys are located about a mile from my house. At times, I've caught myself visiting them two or three times in one day for project necessities. I've rented heavy equipment from them, gotten mulch, and bought many parts and materials for carpentry/plumbing/electrical/general construction and landscaping. It's very rare I can't find what I need in their shop and the two or three guys who typically help me are very knowledgeable and sometimes even very inventive and creative when I have an issue that requires some outside-the-box type of thinking. I'll continue to visit and be an Arnold's patron as long as I'm around.

Our kitchen sink backed up last night & I called this morning to have someone take a look at it. Even though they were extremely busy, they were able to get someone out immediately & he was able to fix the issue in less than 30 minutes. I appreciate the quick turnaround & how efficient & friendly the plumber was!

The first time we used their services, we were told one firm price, allegedly including installation, and then when the bill came it was +$300 some for additional labor. The second time we got service the guy talked, like a lot, when he was working on welding copper pipes, which my bill is now almost $600 and he could have finished I think literally two hours earlier than they did.I recommend the physical store they have in Natrona Heights because they have such selection, but I will not be using nor recommend their other services.

Just left… i called before i drover there to ask for a certain product and they verified they had it. Got there, they lied. I was able to get one fitting with wax all inside… bad experience. Never again

I go there for all sorts of strange items needed around the house. Their stock seems to be optimized for the houses in the surrounding area. They even did a great job on getting a drain unclogged in my basement when I first moved in after a commercial place failed.

Went to Arnold's to buy a Honda lawnmower air filter after being lied-to at Lowes. I should never have gone to Lowes in the first place. Now I know better!Arnold's had the filter. Service was good as was the price. Buy from local merchants & avoid big-box stores!

Arnold's & Sons Plumbing is EXCELLENT !!!We had a back up in our line - I called all the big names here in Pittsburghone didn't even show up - one used a scare tactic advising a complete pipe reinstall and could schedule a time in the next 2 weeks at a ridiculous $$$$$$ price - Two weeks ! Not use the bathrooms or laundry or kitchen for two weeks !. So a friend recommended Arnold's, a local hometown been in business 50+ years company - I am impressed !!!Doug & Jordan arrived when the said the would - assessed the problemdid what needed to be done with a fair honest price to boot.I will definitely recommend Arnold's & Sons Plumbing !Thank you for being there for us -

I wish I could fully explain how badly these guys suck without writing a novel. To make a long story short, I needed someone to do a dye test in order to sell my house. My realtor set this up, so I wasn't able to make the choice myself.They did the test (got dye all over the gutters, walkways, my kid's toys, etc.. not to mention they tore up my yard around a man hole cover) then told me I failed for two gutters tied into the sewage system. I asked them if they could fix it, they said they'd rather not. They told me how to fix it. I did. They said they'd be back out to check and make sure what I fixed was correct (at no extra charge).A few days later, they finally returned my calls and told me it would be $50 to come back out in a week (mind you the buyers close in a week). They claimed they don't charge enough for the dye test anyways, so they weren't too worried about it. I told them that wasn't my fault if they're not charging enough. If it's that big of a hassle, I'm not sure why they even do it.Update- Arnold & Sons were upset that I wasn't satisfied with their work and refused to come back out and finish the dye test. It went as far as the owner screamed at me on the phone to go somewhere else.These guys are COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL.

!! Read this First! They charged me over $300 for 45 min of time which I actually did the work in my tractor! When I called to let them know I’d like the bill lower he barely knocked some off...I wasn’t happy and said I probably will not use them again he said “You know what don’t, the feeling is mutual and we won’t even come out.”

i wanted to sell my house, but my back yard along with the neighbor's back yards were like a swamp. you could actually see the water laying on top of the ground. it was so bad, that the shrubbery was drowning. i could only go about 1/2 way into my back yard and my neighbor wasn't even able to step off of her deck without walking thru water. arnold hardware came and put the drainage in the back of our yards. doug actually said it was the worst project he had had in a long time. even his equipment was sinking as they were going into the yards. but guess what. after they were done ----- no more water. both my neighbor and myself could actually walk to the back of our yards. the employees were always on time, friendly and got the job done. i have recommended this business to everyone i know. getting the job done right, being on time and friendly are all very important qualities to me. i was able to sell my house with a nice and dry back yard. thank you doug!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely terrible. Dropped chainsaw off. Went to pick up chainsaw after a month, they had misplaced it. Called a couple times, finally talked to the service guy. He found the chainsaw. Showed up a month later. They misplaced the chainsaw. I called a few times again over the next few months, never able to talk to the service guy. Show up again! and they can't find it. Finally, I call today and ask for the manager. He then informs me that they had scrapped the saw nearly a year ago, since I had not picked it up!! He was unapologetic, and told me that the saw wasn't worth anything anyways.
