Went to get 5 things I get regularly at another local dollar store they were completely out of 3 hair mousse polygrip and motor oil. 1 star for 1 can of hair mousse that was sitting there was gross and definitely there for a while and I touched it.

I like all the Dollar General stores. Great items at great prices. The only problem I have is some of the employees need a little bit more lessons in being nicer to people and their coworkers!!! The store I am talking about is the one in Hughesville PA.

Its pretty small compared to some other locations but they have the basics there you need. I think theyvare understaffed. Normally i see 1 employee handleing everything including deliveries and sometimes you need to wait for them to come back inside to ring you out. The staff is friendly

Probably is the cleanest and we'll put together store out of all of them. The problem is with coupons and the Digital Dollar General App. They send 5 off of 20, 3 off of 15, and 2 off of ten. You don't get it though I only got it ONCE after I installed the App and each time they get emailed to me I add the to the App right away and double sometimes triple check they are there while I shop. I went and talked to the store manager because only 1 time I got 5 off 20 and it came up in the receipt just like that. After another purchase with these coupons and I did not see it like the first time. The manager pointed out under some items 50 cents or 10 cents those items were tagged on sale at the Store when I bought them. She tried to tell me that it splits the 5 off of 20 or 3 off of 25 and 2 off of 10 and takes it off individual items. It is a lie. You can clearly see I bought sale items and there is none of those $5, $3, or $2 showing up on the receipt anymore because it doesn't take it off. The deceive the buyer and confuse them and you don't get the deductions you only get money off when the item is one sale or you have an itemized digital coupon for something and you have to watch EVERYTIME I go I have to pull the App up and show at the registers the coupons because most don't come up when they total the order and log in at the register. So just a warning you don't get $5, $3,$2 deductions it is a scam and lie.

It's not the worst DG but it's older and it shows. The staff is really what makes it a one-star. Cashier's regularly gossip about customers in front of other customers; Are rude directly toward customers. There really seems to be no sense of professionalism at this location. Drive the extra 10 min for Montgomery or Hughesville.

I am always pleasantly surprised when shopping at the DG in my hometown.1.) all the employees shown nothing but respect & genuinely want to help.2.) the store is always kept clean (which can be hard at a bargain store as people tend to throw items they are not purchasing wherever they please.3.) I can confidently say that when I leave our towns DG, it is generally with a smile on my face 🤙🏼

The DG on RT. 405 is a new building. It's dirty. Mismanaged. Shelves empty but skids of the products crowding the aisles. It's not the company it's the management I guess. DG in MUNCY is super nice. Really great store. But here's the best: The EMPLOYEES of both stores are simply the BESTEST!!!

Ease of access is good and they have a good selection. I wish they sold more heavy duty items. For example, they have steel wool but it is very flimsy and cheap.

This isn't my favorite Dollar General store, because when they have sales on a certain colored dot item (for Toys, accessories, bed & bath items and sometimes clothes), they don't separate the sale items, so you have to dig through it all, hoping to find the right color dot. The Turbotville and Watsontown locations apparently want their sale merchandise to sell and also make their customers happy as they take the time to group the sale colored dot items together on a table so you can easily find what you're looking for. I live in Muncy, but would rather shop at the Turbotville and Watsontown locations.
