This was my 1st time here. They have a nice selection of pet treats, toys and first aid. I needed styptic powder for my dogs chipped nail. They had a few different options and for a reasonable price. The staff is very friendly.

I am a birder, and have an extensive home based hobby of ccreating wild bird feeders and unique related eco-friendly items. I buy all of my different varieties of bulk (25 to 100 lbs.) Bird foods. They always replenish stock quickly, and have the largest variety in the area.

You can't beat their high quality pet foods and if your pet doesn't like the food you choose, you can return the bag for store credit and try something else. Came up here to check out chicken feed... was looking for Kalmbach and their website showed P&D as a retailer. They had one bag and not much else. Also I hit my feet/tripped while walking around the store twice.. there were plastic racks on the middle of the floor I wasn't expecting that should be put away

I love shopping local whenever possible. P & D has been a regular stop for me for years. Staff is super friendly and helpful and they stock only quality products for your animals. 4 stars only because I wish there was a bit of a larger selection of dog products other than food. No fault of theirs, though, as they do cater to clients needing horse feed, etc, which is hard to find elsewhere. Overall, this is a great place with quality products, serviced by great folks.

Love this place (as does my dog). The staff is very helpful and friendly. A bit pricey on some items but products are of good quality. Love the new DIY Dog wash! Towels, shampoo are provided. They have a dryer available but it's too loud for my pup. Overall a great place and beats going downtown to larger stores. I love that I can support a local business!! 😊

Great selection and helpful staff who offered to carry the huge bag of dog food out for me as my arm was in a sling but I didn't want to seem like less than a gentleman and carried it out myself. The ladies helped me get it in an easy to lift place and really wanted to carry it for me. Kudos to the staff!!! We WILL BE BACK!!!!

Nice store if you don’t have time to drive into Wilkes barre but it is pricey, (as are most pet stores )…..let’s face it either stores need to bring their prices down (go back to “pre pandemic/pre stimulus” prices) or paychecks need to go up!

My first choice for pet supplies and advise. Been going there for years and have yet to be disappointed. They have a wide range of good quality, natural items for all kinds of animals and the staff really know their stuff and truly care about the customer, 4 legged and 2 legged. They always go out of their way to see that my furry friends get what's best for them wether it's medicine, a new toy, or advice and help answering a question even if it means sending me home with the knowledge of a DIY remedy instead of just telling me to buy something from them if that's what is best for my pets, that kind of service isn't seen much these days and me and my little buddy's greatly appreciate having P&D there for us. They also have a huge selection of rocks to admire and purchase in store, gotta take a few minutes to check them out, lots of cool stuff to see

Hit and miss inconsistent customer atmosphere: As a customer it depends on the day and who is working at the time when you stop. Some days the workers can be really friendly and helpful and sometimes it's like a big old petsmart void with all the workers standing behind the cashier's post gabbing & texting and no one asks if you need anything so you'd be better off ordering stuff online.
