I have been coming here for several months. I have been burned by major chain stores and small shops. Chris and Art at O’FishShell are knowledgeable and are understanding. They help work through any problems whether unstable tank or fish aggression. Prices are fair. Thanks you guys for everything. See you guys soon.

Great group! Very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. HUGE selection. The store is huge, with multiple rooms full of different fish and all aquarium items you may need. We bought a 75-gallon tank, a canister filter system, and plan to keep going back for more.

Chris and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of fish including salt water fish and corals at fair prices. I have a 100 gallon salt water aquarium and love the atmosphere there. I won't shop any where else now. I know they have salt water fish and corals. I highly recommend o Fish Shell to everyone.

Visiting O'FishShell is like a trip to an aquarium. I've been in the hobby since I was a little kid and this store continues to have fish that I've never seen before. Chris and the staff are about the most personable folks you'll ever meet. Such a chill place to go, walk around, see new fish and of course pick out some new inhabitants for your tank.Whether you're just starting out or seeking hard to find species this place is sure to amaze. So happy that there is a LFS in my backyard.Keep up the awesome work, the shop continues to improve with each passing day/month. Great place to check out!

The pictures online are very misleading. When I arrived there was trash out front, and I get it, lots of merchandise/fish, but come on, you’re running a business, make it look presentable. After one run around of the store I was heavily disappointed. Lots of dead fish, depressing displays, not clean. General maintenance really isn’t that difficult. When dead fish start forming that biofilm around them, that’s how you know they’ve been in there for a long time. This was really unfortunate. This is why fish are the most neglected and abused animal, even locally owned small businesses can’t get it right. What a way to set an example

Chris is awesome! Everyone there is super knowledgeable, all of his fish are super healthy. I recommend this place for everyone. Just the amount of knowledge alone that Chris has is worth the visit.

Came in yesterday with my mom to find shrimp for my tank. I can look past the outside because I understand cleaning out old merch/tanks. When I got in the man working was friendly and sitting on the couch watching TV. I wouldn't think twice about it if there weren't fish in multiple tanks dead and fuzzy. The guppy tank had what looked like was a pleco dead and filmy. The bettas looked like unusual ones, so I stopped to look and most of them were long dead with stuff forming in the cubes with them.Most of the freshwater supply had dead fish, the salt water looked better and healthier at least.

I don’t know where all of these 5 star reviews are coming from, or if they’re old, but this place was disappointing. When I first got there, there was garbage scattered everywhere outside, buckets, bins, wood, cans, bags, boxes etc. when I walked in it was ok at first, but when you start looking around you start seeing more and more red flags. First off, colored gravel?? You’re supposed to be a LFS you should know better than to have colored gravel in any tank. The tanks were filthy inside and out, it takes 15 minutes to wipe all of these tanks down on the outside at least, this is mountain top, you’re not exactly busy all the time. Dead fish in several tanks. I saw about 20 dead fish in several tanks. If you don’t know, having dead fish in a tank for an extended period leads to a spike in ammonia and nitrates, and also can cause sickness in other fish if it’s left in there for too long. This place all together was filthy. I don’t leave bad reveries at places, but this was disappointing. I wouldn’t be leaving a poor review if we just had ONE good LFS in NEPA, DC pet in Dickson is atrocious, pittston pet zone has given me sick fish and skimped me on fish trades several times, and now this store was filthy and lots of sick fish. This store is in mountain top… do you really have that much going on that you can’t do regular maintenance not only on your tanks, but also just regular cleaning like mopping and vacuuming? I would not support this business.(EDITED FOR RESPONSE) :I don’t know if there are two different O’fishells in mountain top, but the pics online look nothing like your store. The dead fish??? The person at the store as he was scooping out the dead cichlid out of the large tank on the left hand side said “I don’t know why you guys keep killing each other” as I walked by, idk maybe because you have an overstocked cichlid tank with little to no hides. And these fish weren’t just dead, they were so dead they had the fuzzy film around them. Also the betta setup??? This betta display was depressing and sad for a LFS, they weren’t even on a filter system and in empty clear boxes. As a small business that represents fish care, you need to do better. Share pics right now of your store bc I guarantee they won’t look the same as what is shared on google. I did not go to this store with the intent of airing them out, I was genuinely interested because there are very few LFS in NEPA and they are all awful so I was hoping for a breath of fresh air when it came to a local small business. Unfortunately this was not the case. I didn’t take any pictures because this was not the plan, I didn’t plan on sharing a review, this wasn’t my intent. I can come by later and take pictures today if that will suffice for proof of how you keep your animals? Even if you’re re doing your back room, there’s no reason you can’t keep the rest of the store clean and presentable. Do better for your fish. I came with the intent of buying a specific fish and after 2 loops in the store I had already changed my mind.

They had all the best fresh/salt water fish I could’ve asked for even had coral the tanks looked great and they had plenty of tanks as well the staff helped me with everything they were super knowledgeable I wouldn’t recommend going anywhere else they’re the only place I’ll go

Drove two hours to come here. The store looks nothing like the pictures, dead fish in almost every tank, water on the floors, garbage outside. Waste of a trip.

1st off the owners are incredibly nice. The prices are fair, the selection is vast and impressive and the atmosphere is perfect. It is everything a mom and pop fish store should be. They have koi, pond plants, hardscape materials, tank goods, staple equipment,decor etc. and so much more. 6 out of 5 🌟. Fantastic work to these guys. Take my money every time.as far as patronage goes it looks like I'll be a lifer!
