I drove 45 minutes to Keystone Pet from South Lancaster for an appointment booked for a while. Due to construction delays, I was 15 minutes late today for a 3-hour grooming appt. On the phone at 11:45 am, I was told it would be fine as long as I reached there by 12:15. But once I got there at 12:15 and walked into the store, the manager told me they could not take my Golden. Would not entertain cutting out a couple of things I could do at home to make up the 15 minutes. Absolutely no understanding about a construction traffic delay on 283 just 10 min from Keystone. This felt very harsh and so I will not be going to this business ever again. I'm an older lady who did her best to get there on time. I also hit a short construction delay on Queen St., but would have been on time with that.

Jen is hands down the best groomer we've ever been to. Our mini labradoodle is very anxious and Jen is so patient and takes such great care of her. Every single time, our dog comes out looking like a show dog. It's worth the 40 minute drive for us!

I love Keystone Pet place because I take my dog to Jen to get groomed. He absolutely adores her and she always does a great job on him! Recently, he was diagnosed with some spinal issues and he still lets Jen groom him. I will only allow people I trust to care for him and I trust Jen!

Great place to shop for pet food and supplies. I take my dog there for grooming. Liz does a fabulous job grooming my big doodle! Very friendly and helpful sales people.

Always a great place to take "Mama" (our furbaby) even when she gets alittle fussy..they keep her calm so they can get her nails done..watched them work their magic on screen at the registers ..which was also comforting for me..they did a fantastic job and we would recommend them to anyone👍..side note:this is her lite face after ..on the ride home she started to get the sleepies many thanks Keystone 😊

We take our dog here for nail trimming. They do a really good job, and we always pick him up a treat or toy as a reward. Well priced and great selection of items.

Great selection, nice employees, but prices are a bit steep. The store itself is pet-friendly with a dog park/patch out front. I still like to support smaller businesses where I can.They have a nice selection of toys, clothes, harnesses and leashes, food, treats, and other animal equipment. They have a nice canine tooth gel that can be given orally without brushing, which is great for our nervous dog. They also have all kinds of locally sourced dog treats- biscuits, jerky and the like.There are some things I'd buy elsewhere because it's pricey (but good quality) like their $40 harnesses. But to each their own.Edited August 2023: five stars. The pet grooming services are excellent and fairly priced. Just call and ask about their availability and if the groomers are in that day, you can walk in, no appointment needed.

Two times before today we walked in for a nail trim neither time were groomers there. Today we go in and they acted as if they didn't even want to do it. We told them our dog doesn't care for clippers only the grinder (he's regularly done somewhere else so his nails are not out of control) without even looking at him or his nails she immediately says we don't do just the grinder when the nails are too long (again he gets done regularly we just happened to be in the area and figured we'd try them) Never will will go there again they made us feel like they could care less for our business so we will gladly spend our money in another place

The grooming and nail trim services here are always top notch! We have been taking our dog (black lab) here for many years and have always been extremely pleased with how well they take care of their customers. Our dog always enjoys her “puppy spa days” and we have never been disappointed with their service. I highly recommend this place for your pet needs!

Very unhappy with Keystone Pet Place. We were customers when they first opened their doors in the Shopping center in Mount Joy with Giant then they moved to the building by the Turkey Hill right down the street then a few years later to their current location. Unfortunately our loyalty isn’t wanted. My fur babies went to get pampered only for a groomer to claim our fur baby was aggressive (Never was a problem until we had this “new” groomer, our fur baby was said to have had a split nail, from what we were told by the groomer. My husband said that explains why he didn’t want anyone touching his paw if his nail is split. The groomer said the other groomer stated that his behavior was out of the norm Never has he acted aggressive.) it wasn’t until I called to schedule another appointment only to be told that one of our fur babies was welcome but the other one isn’t because of his aggressive behavior. The lady said it was noted in the chart that a male in the house stated he was acting aggressive at home!! NEVER was that said! What was said was “IF HE HAD A SPLIT NAIL NO WONDER HE DIDN’T LIKE ANYONE TOUCHING HIS PAW!! I contacted another groomer to take our fur babies and both of the fur babies have been to the new groomer with no problems or signs of aggression. Now fast forward from this situation to the Dog food. We feed our fur babies Instinct dog food. I was in and told by the lady at the counter that Keystone will no longer carry Instinct food because Instinct will no longer honor the buy 12 bags get the 13th bag free reward as of 4/30/23 and the fact that Instinct keeps raising prices making it less affordable. The lady suggested that I consider feeding our fur babies OC Raw and she recommended several other dry dog foods because OC Raw is raw food no dry. She did say she could still order Instinct for us. I left the store pretty bummed out worrying about what to do because of my “aggressive fur baby” having stomach issues and Instinct seems to be something he is able to tolerate and he likes. I know she stated she could order Instinct in but I decided it might be time to cut Keystone completely out & begin on searching elsewhere to purchase Instinct. I received a flyer in the mail from another pet store with a coupon for Instinct dog food I took to coupon to the pet store asked it the coupon is going to be accepted through 7/31/23 since I was informed that Instinct wasn’t going to honor any discounts or the buy 12 bags get 1 free. The employee at the pet store told me they haven’t heard anything and the coupons will be accepted and Instinct will in fact honor the buy 12 get the 13th bag free! I bought my 1st bag of Instinct from the local pet store and have 11 more to buy until I get my 13th bag free!! I’m beyond irritated with Keystone!

Update: can't give negative stars or i would.. this was the best place until today when the "owner" decided to show up and show how they're the boss of everything. She wanted to drag my dog back because he was scared, and despite coming every month and knowing my own dog, every other cutter allowing me to carry him back.. today she wanted to have an issue, then yell at an employee, then came to ring us up and we were told how rude we were and that we could go elsewhere... say no more, I'll take my 5 dogs somewhere else and not purchase your products or let you cut their nails. If I'm rude for not wanting her to drag my dog by his collar, then I'm the rudest. Idc if you own a pet store, that doesn't mean you have their best interests at heart or customer service... so I'll take my money elsewhere.Fast Service, good prices, quality products, dog and animal friendly, and most of all an amazing staff. One of the best places you can go to. Small or chain. Friendly and clean.My dog is scared to leave my side, when it comes to strangers. They've allowed me to accompany him while getting his nail clipped. It made me and my dog feel so much better.

Good selection. Prices are a bit high. They only carry premium dog food, which was a disappointment when I ran out of Iams one time. I love the dog wash. That's primarily what I go for. The minimum you pay for is 15 minutes. That's enough time to do both my dogs if I have a helper.

We love this local pet store. It is always clean and well stocked. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The grooming services are high quality and they even have a self-serve wash area located in the back corner of the building.

Love this place! They do an amazing job every month trimming and grinding my dog's nails and they also do an awesome job of grooming my cockapoo and my FIL's Yorkie. I highly recommend them! They also have a very nice supply of high-quality dog foods (not the quality of food you'd find in a grocery store ❤❤❤) and treats and toys.

We had our mini goldendoodle groomed there for the first time yesterday and they did an AMAZING job! The groomer was so sweet and Stella just looks so good. They even put a bow in her hair which my daughter loved. I could not say enough about this store and their staff! Highly recommend!

The staff at Keystone Pet Place is friendly and always helpful. The store is clean, organized and well stocked with competitively priced merchandise. The Groomers are friendly and treat your pet as their own. Very good pricing for the Groomers as well. Highly recommend this place.

Overall, this is a great pet store. The employees are very friendly, the store is clean, they have a decent selection of items, and they often give out free samples to repeat customers. As others have noted, the prices are a bit higher here than on Amazon or Chewy for things like toys and treats, though their bags of food are comparable. They mostly stock treats and food that are of higher quality which can be hard to find at other pet places, but they do have a few cheaper options like Diamond brand. If you are looking for a friendly, local pet store to purchase some things for your dog or cat, I'd definitely recommend trying this place.

The service was good and the selection was good also. The prices are higher because they are a small store. They have a wonderful dog wash available which I have used several times. I'm concerned about how much they charge for their rescue animals. They charge several hundred dollars depending on the animal. I'm under the impression that the animals are vetted and have received their shots? You probably have a vet that you regularly go to that should give you a break on the office visit and the shots considering that you are bringing in multiple animals However my friend that adopted one still took it to the vet to be checked which I think is a good thing to do. But they also had to pay to get the dog spayed. I'm just wondering why the adoption fee is so expensive? And am also concerned that the dogs or cats are not spayed or neutered before being adopted out. It would be an important thing to do because then they wouldn't be bred by someone whom adopted them. I would appreciate a reply so that my questions could be clarified. Thanks.

Have had nothing but outstanding service from keystone and would STRONGLY recommend Jenn Brown to ANYONE. She has groomed our dog for years now and is not only excellent at what she does but goes the extra mile and can tell she truly cares about what she does. Keystone is wonderful with communications w your appointments as well as can tell rhey are a professional grooming company and not a big box store. Love dealing with local companies that give back to the community as well 👍😊😊😊
