I have had an excellent experience with Southtown Veterinary Hospital, whenever I have gone there. The doctors and entire staff are all excellent. The facility is spotless and appointment times are kept. I highly recommend this facility.

My pups have been treated at Dr Bobs for 5 years, since day one the location was spotless the staff friendly and responsive the doctor informative and caring for his patients. They are easy to get a hold of, I’ve left a message with the answering service and received an immediate call back. After a recent surgery I received an early morning call from Dr Bob because he was concerned. The staff know my pups well, treat them lovingly and I’ve full confidence with their handling my pups.

The girls I spoke to were great but the actual vet should not be listed as an Avian Vet in my opinion as he stated the reason our Parakeet was Itching and Pulling out his feathers was due to his diet and environment (he recommended a place in York PA to buy food which ended up being a Barn Animal Feed and supply store, the few Avian Supplies they had were over priced). Most of his advise was contradictory to what I read on Avain and Parakeet Websites and when I asked why only one of our Parakeets were affected if the issue was environmental and diet I got no answer. So basically I paid $80 to be told I was a bad Parakeet Mom 😡

We have been going to Dr. Bob for over a decade. Dr. Bob isn't for you if you want "fluff". He is in it to win it with knowledge has & continues to gather that he shares for the best treatment of your animals. He educates himself continually to offer the best treatment plans & overall wellness for his clients. He can come off as "clinical" but that's because he's so sensitive. He knows that to do what he does well he most compartmentalize. He's at his best among his patients & that is the most important thing to me when it comes to my furry children. I know that what they need they will unequivocally get from Dr. Bob. That's what's important to me. His staff has always been kind, helpful & compliments Dr. Bob in the best way. Pet care is NOT cheap. It's absolutely essential though & we get what we pay for & more at Southtown Veterinary Hospital. We appreciate you Dr. Bob & team.

The staff are wonderful and compassionate. They take appointments same day and book surgeries with out a long wait. They understand how busy people are and try their best to accommodate. They not only see cats and dogs, but also birds (including chickens), reptiles, rabbits, ferrets, and pocket pets.

The staff is pleasant. That's why I gave one star. The Vet is ignorant, and has a tendency to be very rude if you ask a question. And the "office manager" is so aggressive. Won't ever go back there. I don't care how cheap they are. Long story short the Vet called us screaming and threatening to have us arrested because the office manager (his wife) made an arrangement with my husband he didn't like. Then she called screaming. Crazy.

I had talked to a women working at this clinic to make an appointment for my sick dog, which was getting worse by the day, she had told me that there would be a $50 fee that i had to pay upfront JUST TO MAKE THE APPOINTMENT. So being as worried as i was i paid it and asked the women if it would be going to the visit for my dog, which she replied yes, it was going to be put towards the bill. I ended up finding somewhere else to take my dog that i found a better fit. So, i had called back and canceled the appointment with this clinic and with an attitude, the same women had told me that the $50 i had paid was nonrefundable. Which makes absolutely no sense, because if it was going to go towards the bill, and the appointment was canceled, and my dog wasn’t seen by them, then why are they keeping my money? What right do they have to do this?!? Money doesn’t come for free!! They completely disgust me!! Taking advantage of every possible little thing they can!

Absolutely outstanding veterinarian, staff and facility!! Dr Bob has been our family's vet for many years and is caring, compassionate, skilled and extremely well informed. He leaves no stone unturned when treating an animal and explains everything thoroughly. His staff is just wonderful and the facility is top notch, spotlessly clean and state of the art. We couldn't ask for better care for our pets.

Dr. Sullivan and his staff are amazing. They are so knowledgeable, always doing further research far beyond most veterinary offices, and always do their best for the animals. They were incredibly kind assisting when my elderly cat essentially went on hospice while I was traveling on business, waiting after hours until I could come be with her. They saved the life of my daughter's dog when she had a terrible illness. They are the only place around with trained physical therapy for our pets, and are very adaptive , helping my elderly dogs so much.

We took our duck there this morning, after finding him injured. The place was fantastic! Very nice, clean, well equipped facility and wonderful staff. Everyone was great, and the nurse was absolutely wonderful to us and our little guy! Very gentle and extremely helpful. Would absolutely recommend you take your loved one there, they will take care of them! We’re so thankful we found this place!

Dr. Bob was amazing and the staff were great. That is the only reason I will even give them 2 stars. Despite family from the area telling me not to use this vet, I did because they got my dog in immediately to get fixed. I was very happy with the facility, it was large and clean. I felt very comfortable. After going I received a $20 gift card towards any service. My dog had ear problems so I thought I would set up an appointment. When I called I told them I had received the $20 certificate and had misplaced it, when the woman at the front desk went to look it up she said she did not see it and if I had received one she would have sent it personally. Then she tells me that I mine as well forget the certificate because they don't have it on file and that I never received one. So after calling me a liar I became upset that she would accuse me of making up that I received this certificate. She then tells me "maybe you need to take your services elsewhere". I think this was so unprofessional and I would like to know if the Dr knows this woman tells his clients to take there services to a different vet because she made an error and accused me of lying. Great Dr, horrible phone manners. I don't think I will be returning to this vet. It's a shame she was so unprofessional because I would have liked to continue my business there. Obviously they are not very welcoming.

I called for an emergency with my cat and they told me to bring him right in. As soon as I got there they came out and got him. Within 5 minutes they came out with a diagnosis and were treating him already. After about 30 minutes Dr Bob was out talking to me about the care needed and explained what was going on. It's a bit of a drive for me but the care my pets get is second to none. The bill was also much lower than I expected for an emergency. Thank you so much!

I recently moved to Montrose and needed a vet. Everyone recommended Southtown Vet and I can see why, they were wonderful. My cat, Suzie, wasn't feeling well and they squeezed her in the same day. She's now back to her old self, torturing her brothers. I'll definitely be taking my other two cats to them.

Dr. Sullivan is an amazing vet. He has so much knowledge on all kinds of animals. He's been my vet for 12 years & I am there frequently with my soecial needs rescues. I'm so glad for his hospital, especially during emergencies. He's very patient & we're so lucky to have him in the area.

We moved just recently and was looking for a new vet . I take our 13 week old puppy German shepherd for check up and shots . very nice place , wonderful staff and price was less then expected. We found a perfect vet office for our fur babies.

Took my dog to the vet today, shes 9 years old and has started peeing in the house. I wanted to make sure she didn't have a uti or kidney problems. Dr. Bob took no blood or urine tests, came in, poked her in the belly a few times and told me she had "pyometra" a severe infection of the uterus that would kill her unless I spayed her today. I panicked, who wouldn't? And agreed to have it done. He informed me the spay was going to cost between 1500$ and 2000$, maybe more. I was taken aback by the pricing (similar services in the area are about 400$) and he insisted he was the cheapest around and if I didn't do it she'd die in 3-5 days. The whole staff was very pressuring, asking me who I could call to get money, suggesting I get a loan or try for a credit card. I tried for the card and was denied, so then Dr. Bob explained how slowly and painfully she would die this weekend if she wasn't operated on today. When they were sure I couldn't come up with the money, they gave me a paper on "urine crystals in cats"??? And pyometra And a bottle of antibiotics and made me feel terrible for "choosing to let her die". I went home and called a vet friend of mine, she was irate he told me this, my dog showed no symptoms, no tests were done, and the whole thing was a scare tactic because they think I shouldspay my dog. (She's 9 and has had breathing problems her whole life, we decided at another vet's suggestion not to spray her a few years ago) I am disgusted at this vet. Either he has no idea what he's doing or he's a glorified scam artist, I'm not sure which would be worse. I went to this vet on the suggestion of a friend that didn't know their old vet, Dr. Diane had left. DO NOT GO HERE, they don't care about your pet, just whats your wallet!!!

This horrible vet agreed to come in after hours when my dad's cat was dying, but upon learning his name (which was similar to my brother's, who had an outstanding bill), refused to treat the cat and outright let it die, without intervention.This vet spent many hours with my brother and presumably knew that he was dealing with a different person, yet chose to let the beloved pet of an elderly veteran suffering from PTSD die painfully.I do not recommend this clinic.

Normally this office has been the only good vet in my area. However I have had to try and contact them 3 times with a concern I have about my animals. I tried emailing and got no response. I called and the woman was incredibly rude. I live about an hour away so it’s kind of far to drive. I’ve waited over a month with no real response .

Our kitten needed to be fixed & had some extra things wrong with him.... they were kind and compassionate- able to explain and answer all of my 500 questions. It was inexpensive and there were no problems.

NEVER AGAIN!!I took my relative's dog to this facility today because I believed the dog had an ear infection. I asked if we could please do an ear smear. Therefore we could test to see if the dog had a bacterial or yeast infection, or ear mites so that we know which type of medication to treat with. The doctor snapped at me and said "Are you going to tell me how to do my job, or are you going to let me do it? I've been at this longer than you have." Then he proceeded to tell me that dogs do not get ear mites. (please feel free to research the truth on that statement) He also yelled at me for the condition of the dog. I explained we are active duty military visiting family and I was being a good person by seeking medical treatment for the dog. He was very mean/rude throughout the entire appointment and his "vet assistant" said "Welcome to the north east." ALL OF THIS was after an additional 30 minute wait because "the doctor is held up in a jaw surgery that did not go as planned."Also, the doctor shared confidential information with me about other clients. If you love your pet, please take them elsewhere.

Excellent and very loving to all animals. Anyone who needs help with any animals should come to this office. And there good with helping animal owners help there pets. Dr siefert is very loving for the work she does and Dr Crowley is very caring I had a cat who was exteamly sick and they helped her alot by putting her to sleep because she was exteamly sick.
