Back in the day, you could choose any puppy to bring out and 'play' with. I used to regularly bring my oldest daughter here to do so. Fast forward, then covid happened, and you could only bring the puppies out by appointment only - so we stopped going.My 7 year old, my 6 month old, and I visited maybe 2-3 weeks ago- and my daughter wanted to pull out a puppy to play with and what not...they changed their policy to if you are seriously inquiring about a puppy- they will bring you that pup. However, if you just want to see a pup- you get what puppy they bring you. And I genuinely LOVE that idea. It gives all the puppies an opportunity to get some love and time to be played with. I was talking to the worker who brought the puppy out. She was so sweet, super professional... I wish I got her name so I could write it on here. And she explained that not a lot of people like that idea- but it is genuinely just so good, and I really appreciate them recognizing that and doing that for the pups.Otherwise, only the tiny 'cutest' puppies get picked over and over, and some then never get a chance to come out. This way, again, they all get a chance. Also- it makes people fall in love and potentially buy a pup they may never have even looked at twice. It made me respect them so much for this❤️

The staff at Petland was very professional, answering all of our questions. They were patient and showing us various dogs that we were interested in. They were not pushy or insistent in anyway. They were the complete opposite, very supportive very caring and very. So much so we decided to take home a new family member who we affectionately named “Milo”

My husband and I went to the Petland last night and came home with the newest member of our family: Bellatrix W. LeStrange. 🖤 Bri was incredibly knowledgeable and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. Even though the store was very busy, none of the customers were ignored, and we felt all of the staff did a great job handling everyone. Bri walked us through everything, explained all of the paperwork, and made sure we understood everything. She also took the time to tell us the background of Trixie's family tree, where she was bred, and told us all about her registration and next steps. The other girl there also took the time to speak with us, and they all congratulated us on our baby girl! We are very happy with our experience and with our new little puppy! Thanks, Bri, we will be in to visit soon!

Be aware of their sales strategy! Their associates incorporate the the price of the dog by adding on the warranty $399 and kit (which does not include the major essentials to care for your new fur baby) at an additional price of $450. I am really not happy that I felt mislead about the price of my fur baby.Other than the misleading sales scheme, I am happy with my new fur baby!

Customer service from this store is amazing. My kids were really interested in the hamsters mice and bunnies. Dalton kindly came over showed us all the hamsters and mice, he gave us a lot of helpful information and really made my kids day. He was so kind ❤️

Got these two cuties today and had a BEAUTIFUL experience! I always love going to petland and stop in there just to say hi sometimes lol. Everyone there is so nice and welcoming!! I had a few questions about rat care and they were more than helpful. The puppies are adorable, but so are the rats, bunnies, hamsters, etc. that they have. I received help from Dalton and Laura and they are amazing people!! Love this place!

better costumer service would do this place justice. i rose my arms at my mother which caused one of the puppies to become playful and naturally i continued doing it as it made me laugh and i was having fun. when the woman told me to stop, i did. i continued to be glared at very obviously until i decided to just leave. it’s not what you say, it’s how you say it. as an autistic adult, it’s hard enough to go out in public, let alone be criticized for not understanding social cues. sure we can say they didn’t know i was autistic, but we can avoid this by just being kind to everyone. do better.

Came in today to look at a pug, we have been wanting to add to our little family for awhile now. Bri approached us for our reservation to meet with the pup. Needless to say. She had us sold. Answered our questions nicely, and intelligently. She didn’t rush our time with the pup, and was always all smiles when approaching. We left with a new pup, and we couldn’t be any more happier!

I hope that whoever developed the sales tactic Petland uses for pets gets explosive diarrhea after having to check their carry on bag, on a long, fully loaded flight, during take off.Nearly 12 years ago I met my best friend, an Olde English Bulldog, her name is Delilah. She was waiting on the tarmac for me, with my wife, as I returned from my final deployment to Afghanistan. Since that day she supported me through difficulty recovering from mental and physical injuries, countless sleepless nights, unbearable stress and anxiety. She celebrated every awesome moment in my life like the birth of my 2 kids, excelling in my new career, buying homes.Just under 4 weeks ago I had to put Delilah to sleep, and since that day, each consecutive day I get more sad. Daily I'm fighting back tears. A couple of days ago I'm a little early for an appointment, I pull into a parking lot to stretch my legs a bit, and it's Petland in Monroeville. I figure why not go and see if I can play with a puppy, maybe feel a bit better. I walk in and immediately spot an Olde English Bulldog. I walk over and she turns around and barks at me, and then lays down, staring at me.I ask the worker if I can see her, she says she can't due to some new law in PA that states they can't be handled for an unknown amount of time. She says to book a time online.I ask the store worker if she knows the price, and if I can make a deposit. She say's they aren't told the price until they are ready to be sold, and since they don't know the price, they can't take a deposit. My wife puts all my info in and they set me up for this Saturday at 11. They say it's the first appointment that she would be able to be held.I'm positive I'm getting this puppy. They call me to confirm The next morning, I ask this person for the price and if I can give a deposit, she says the stores are the only ones that know the price, but I'm the first person getting to see her, so she's mine to lose.Today (Friday) I was driving by, so I figured I'd stop in and see her, and pick up some supplies to prepare for Saturday. The clerk says "There have been so many appointment to see this puppy, if you want her you'll want to get her now, I am positive she won't be here tomorrow". Guess I wasn't the first appointment, but lucky for me, the first 2 didn't adopt her. I ask again about the price so I can write a check, the store clerk says "I won't know the price until I get her from back there".She brings me the puppy, and I'm in love with this puppy. She climbs up me, nuzzles her head on my shoulder, and immediately falls asleep staring at me. After 20 minutes or so, and feeling better than I've felt in weeks, she comes back and says "Our puppies come with this package of blah blah blah you can take off to save $500, but she is $7,250". I tell her how shocking that is and she asks "How much were you looking to spend"? I told her I was hoping to be under $3,000 since I had found a few online for around $2k but I understand business's need to make a profit. She says "yeah, sorry. I'll take the packet back" grabs the paper, the puppy and the toys and walks off.They dodge and dodge price until they think they have you hooked. University of Georgia English Bulldog bloodline puppies go for $7k. Olde English Bulldogs aren't recognized by the AKC as a breed, but you want to charge higher than English? You want to use shady sales tactics to bait customers into emotional buying decisions? You want to let greed deprive these pets of good homes, and deprive these homes of loved pets?You are the worst kind of people. If this review stops even 1 person from spending a dollar at your store, it has been worth the time it's taken me to type this. I hope you and everyone in your family has the worst luck possible, that every single time you ask for ranch, you get blue cheese, and that you stub your toe so much that it stops working and you have to learn how to walk again.
