I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the years I've attended the OHPA Bird Fair. This is the only time I am able to purchase toys, perches and new foods at great costs from local vendors!My ONLY complaint is that I wish they would "filter" the people allowed to sell birds here. After a cage full of cockatiels was not purchased I watched them all be given to PEARL Parrot Rescue. At least they went somewhere good; but the owner was just going there to "get rid of them" because "they kept breeding". They may have had health issues, etc, unlike the parakeet I bought there from a wonderful young woman that came with a health guarantee, and a paper of information on the birdies parents (: She also offered mobile wing/nail clipping.

Absolutely disgusting. Vendors were rude. When asked about birds, it was brought to the attention that some were old and sick so they cost more to be purchased. The babies that were brought to the show were literally screaming out in pain of hunger. This was the first bird show/Fair I've ever been to. I will never return to another one of these. Expressing my feelings towards the quote-unquote breeders and vendors was deleted by the ohpa bird fair affiliates. I am so disgusted for how no one that was there as a vendor / breeder was enticed of the welfare of the bird but just enticed about the dollar of the bird. I have never been so sick in my life to see such inhumanity towards an animal. So they can delete me from their Facebook group they can block my commentary and they can do whatever else they want but the reality is they are disgusting. I won't be returning and I feel really bad for all the feathered Friends have to endure all of this.
