My partner and I wanted to purchase a used mower at a locally-owned business. Several locals gave us good reviews of Millheim Small Engine. So we borrowed a truck, went, and purchased a basic model riding mower. After only mowing our yard twice, all the oil leaked out. So we called and asked if they would fix it. They said yes, but wanted us to wait a month to return it (we understand it's busy season, but were hoping they would prioritize something they sold that malfunctioned). We waited and called after a month and they asked for another two weeks. We understood it was busy, but push-mowing our yard was hard work in the meantime (~2 hrs of mowing on a hill). A family member offered us their used mower (in return for us paying for repair costs), so we asked if we could return the mower instead, as it wasn't usable and we weren't sure all that was wrong with it. So after we finally took it back, and they offered $350 less than we purchased it for. While we understand they have an "as-is" policy, we essentially paid $350 to mow our yard twice and had the hassle of needing to return it and going back and forth for six weeks. They should have taken more ownership of selling us a mower that wasn't in good shape. Overall, it wasn't a good experience. This may be a good place for others if you don't have any issues down the road, but buyers beware, if something does have issues, you may wait a really long time for them to fix it and they will not refund you a fair price.

I'll start things off saying this place is a great small engine shop. I tried calling several times to see what for used chainsaws they had and nobody picked up the phone. I must have tried 10 times before I gave up and made the trip from State College.The employees in the store were great and helpful. I found a saw I wanted and they haggled with me on price and ended up cutting me a deal on extra chains and a few extra things. The only time I was there the place was very busy and all of the employees were busy with customers so I can kinda see why nobody was able to answer a phone.Other than the whole phone issue this is a great place to buy new and used power equipment.

Amazing they have everything the big franchise hardware stores have but way more. Buildings full of old new and everything in between, really cool interesting stuff. Can not say enough about the family and their staff, super knowledgable and so friendly. Out of the way but so worth the trip, you will not be disappointed.

While this could be just another hardware store and still be very successful it is not! It is an awesome hardware store that has some really nice and knowledgeable people working there.Let's also not forget about the large yard full of used equipment and other awesome stuff to browse!A true fixture of Milheim! You need to stop and check it out, I guarantee you will find something you didn't know you needed!

Outstanding Best Ever Chainsaw Small Engine shop/dealer. This family owned and operated small engine business has it all. They are extremely knowledgeable about various brands of Chainsaws and small engine equipment. Up to date on everything. They might not answer the phone? But I guarantee anyone that's called and left a voice mail message got a call back. Thousands of customers daily and sometimes hourly walk through the doors. They might seem short handed at times? They make up for that in customer satisfaction all hands down. You can trade in your used Chainsaws towards the purchase if a brand new saw. Who does that and offers you fair trade value??? No one else that I know of? There should be a Milheim Small Engine shop in every small town America!!!

You will not find a more honest down to earth place for your small engine equipment. Besides for the great service the also have a show room with all your hardware needs. I would highly recommend checking them out before you get your next chainsaw or other small engine equipment.

My hubby Kenny ONLY buys his Husqvarna Chainsaws and equipment from Henry @ Millheim Small Engine. Henry is great priced, and knows his thing. His daughter, Emily, is front store and wonderful. Shes a sweetheart at that. His brother, Aaron and the rest of staff are quick and efficient as well. Ive been there once getting a Husqvarna 395 piece fixed, and I was treated like theyve known me forever.

Millheim Small engine is a nice place I go there quite often good pricing friendly atmosphere they buy and sell a lot of things chainsaws lawn mowers garden tractors wheel barrels you name it they just about have it very friendly Amish atmosphere recommend highly I always ask for Henry he's the owner very pleasant man
