This grocery store is a time capsule, and I love it. John herrs does what other establishments never dare to do and that’s never change. This store looks like it’s straight from the 1970s or 80s and it was such a magic experience when I first walked in. I hope to god this store never gets brought out by Wises or Giant and gets rebuilt or renovated cause it’s fun to just walk through this store and look around.

My first time shopping here and it was good. I like that they have a kiosk where you can add digital coupons to your card while shopping. That was awesome!

Our favorite grocery store as students. Great basic groceries as well as brand items and various household stuff. Pretty much everything you could need in one store. They have cashiers & self-checkout both for people to choose which they prefer/need. Also a loyalty system with coupons if you find yourself coming here often.

#1 they sell York's Mack ice cream including a PA Teaberry flavor - hard to find. Was bummed I missed the hot & cold self serving bars, oh well next time. Fresh meat, poultry, deli, store made selections are fantastic. Wish groceries would stop saying 'Ethnic/International Isle', it's racist and the selections there were 25+ years out of date. Employees are awesome. Now if they had wine and beer that would be the icing on the cake for a great mid size local grocery.

This is by far my favorite grocery store I've been to on the east coast. I don't say that lightly either. Between great service, a clean facility, and a great selection, I highly recommend them for just about anything. Not to mention, they actually carry cans of RC Cola, which is a pain to find in any chain store in SEPA.

I really like this grocery store because I can get my basic items and a bunch of home made items like chicken salad and pot pies at affordable prices.This store is a bit of a time capsule compared to some other stores but it has charm and is well laid out to handle isle browsing and quick trip shoppers.Be nice to the staff and they will warm up pretty quickly. Never had a problem if I have politely asked a question or needed help.Try the chicken wing hot bar on weekends, they have a good selection of flavors and whomever is cooking the chicken in the back really knows what they are doing!

I went in here today for one ingredient I was missing for my bread recipe. It was out of stock... I guess?? The one employee I asked for helped kept interrupting me to talk to another co-worker. Very unhelpful.Overall, this market has the feeling of a depressing nursing home about it.

This is a great 'old time' grocery store where all employees are friendly, attentive and helpful - no cashiers on their cell phones or too busy talking to friends to do their job. They even still have an employee that will load ur car if you pull up out front. I'm glad I found this store 😊

The produce was terrible not all but a lot of it was.The banana selection was terrible and mostly brown spots on them , apples were the same, bruised and so was the lettuce it was almost as if it was put out as secondsAnd every time we come there absolutely nothing is left from the sales flyers everything is gone and this is at 12-2pmI don’t understand how everything is gone before 2pm that is why I quit shopping there 😢😢😢

Great parking, wheelchair accessible/scooters available, easy checkout, great meat and deli departments, hot foods, soup and salad bars, good Bakery, seafood department too. Pleasant staff.

A step back in time. A small grocery with probably not the greatest prices but is convenient as otherwise you have to drive At least five miles for one closer. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. I felt like it was an old fashioned country store. It’s always busy and I’ll bet the Millersville residents feel the same as me and I was just a brief visitor.

Would love to shop local however these inconsiderate folks decided to have their parking lot paved OVERNIGHT Sunday into Monday a few years back. Nobody in town was able to sleep while they got their huge lot stripped at midnight to avoid losing a dime in sales. Doesn't pay to be greedy and screw those who support you. The kids will get lazier and lazier and eventually sell to Giant.

Every employee I encountered was so friendly and willing to help, shopping here was almost like the twilight zone... you never get service like this anymore. The butcher/ meat department is huge and the people behind that counter were soooo willing to take the time and explain the different cuts of meat that would work with your dish. I cannot express enough how pleasant it was to shop here. I will definitely be back.

Fair prices and a friendly helpful staff. Bakery items are very good if you get there when they are fresh. The bread is acceptable when fresh, but it often sits for a few days until new bread is baked.

I love basically any family owned market. Every single one is unique in it's own way. Yes some things are a little more steep in price then other mass merchandisers, but that's expected. They have an awesome bakery, great produce department and meat selection. It's a breath of fresh air from the typical grocery store.

Friendly employees in a clean store. It takes a little getting used to the layout, but that's expected when shopping somewhere different. They have local products and I found a few Tillamook products recently, which are outstanding. I also appreciate the car loading service.
