Ms. Cathy is the nicest lady! She had everything I needed, she’s one of the few stores around that has good quality fish at a great price. She also had feeders & they are scarce! I’ll be seeing her every 2 weeks from now on! She had her Bettas in decent bowls instead of teeny tiny ones and she went out of her way to help. She was super nice to my terror of a 4 year old, I’ll definitely be going back! I’m adding a photo of the Black Moor I also bought there today, I’m so happy with him

Drove 40 minutes and stores closed. Despite hours saying open 12-6 today. Hours on google say only closed Sunday but there’s a chalkboard out front that says closed other days. Waste of time don’t bother.

The critters look pretty well cared for but no one was tending the shop for at least 15 minutes or so while we shopped. Cathy needs help with organizing ; there were random items strewn throughout the shop in the aisles.

See all of these people leaving bad reviews don't understand she was doing great for a while then she started letting ppl take advantage of her. Letting ppl get away with paying cheap for things that shouldn't be so cheap and now she doesn't have the funds to clean and fix everything at once so she has to slowly fix everything which is even more stressful because animals need attention everyday. And so does her store, but there's only so much time in a day. And she also has like no help because she doesn't make enough to have employees. Stop judging before you know the full story it's disturbing and disrespectful. Smh

I'm sad to post such a bad review for a small local business. However, the only nice thing I have to say about this shop is that the owners are very kind and helpful. I just wish they were as kind to the animals they are selling.I got there today a little after 1pm. The sign other door says they open at 12pm. Just as I was getting ready to leave around 1:20pm the shop owner pulled in and said they were coming back from picking up some merchandise as their suppliers are not currently shipping. If this is a regular thing that occurs i understand that, but perhaps they could add a sign that let's customers know their hours have temporarily changed.The shop has a very unclean look and feel to it. The mice and rats are housed extremely poorly. I understand perhaps they don't have more space for them or they are meant to be sold as feeders, but I don’t think it excuses the poor condition at which they are being kept. The mice bins are so full they have little floor space to even get around each other. Perhaps a rack system or more shelves could be added to house them more safely and happily. Just watching them jump so much to try to get out is really sad. If housed a little better it would change how much they try to escape.That being said their rats do the same thing with constantly jumping to get out. Who could blame them though? Even 1 rat in a 10 gallon tank isn't acceptable let alone multiple. If they added more shelves for the mice they could cut back on how much floor space they are taking up which would give them extra space to put in some acceptable size cages to house their rats.Their guinea pigs are also a sad sight to see. They looked so dirty with so much matted fur.As far as the fish tanks go the set up for them is rather cool and should help make it so they need cleaned less often, but they still looked very dirty.There were also many empty, and dirty looking cages, tanks and litter pans.This was all such a sad sight to see I don't think I could bring myself to go back.

I have been here many times and this place holds a special place in my heart, this wonderful woman helped me with my first Chinchilla many, many years ago, she worked right with me the whole way! Today i have my first set of quadruplets from my one pair, proud mama i am:)) She taught me many ins and outs of chin care, for that i am super grateful as this has become a very long term love of them, without her guidance i would have missed out on so much! I will be visiting again soon as we have multiple aquariums and are ready to get some finbabies. I trust this shops knowledge completely, i like that it is not massive like the chain ones, yet it has a bit of everything and if they do not they certainly make the extra effort to get what you need, that personal touch is valuable:)

Really nice owner! sells affordable crickets for reptile owners! a bit of smell was there due to a accident, but we must be understanding in this difficult time! they were super nice, will visit again

This place smells awful everything is very dusty and it looks like a bomb went off inside. Also there was no shortage of dead fish in the tanks... the only reason I give it two stars is because the people were very nice but also very talkative and didn't know much about the fish also they're not always open as their hours suggest

The place is terrible. I bought Items here and there was mold growing on the tree hut and the climbing stick. The animals look sick. Poor ventilation and lighting. The smell is awful. I’m surprised it’s not already shut down.

Have not been for a year or so but her animals must be amazing. Our last hamster we bought there lived to be extremely elderly, in hamster years! We've never had the little guys live for very long, even with great care. Good hamster gene pool? :) Fair warning, do not take your children in there unless you're prepared to welcome new pets! You'll leave with one. Too enticing.What a pet shop should be, prices better than Pet Smart, too.

Smells awful and the prices were pretty expensive. I would rather go to walmart or petsmart. At least it doesnt Smell like mold in those stores. Also it was very dirty as their were dead fish in a container that were hanging off the side of the fish tank. The animals tanks looked pretty dirty but looked like they were fed. That's probably the only ok thing about that place. There where hoses and buckets everywhere on the floor. Definitely did not like my experience.

Really sad to see this place open again, hoped that it had changed - negative.. dirty, poorly ventilated, poorly lit, and poor care. Some animals had no water source, dirty cages. Selection varies, small and furries incl rats, guinea pigs, n bunnies. Some reptiles (beardies, uromastyx, n geckos). Bunch of fish..The animals that were present appeared to be healthy (really hoping), but for how long?? Would not recommend to anyone! Disappointed for the critters...😞

She was nice and had what we were looking for. However it just felt awkward, and run down inside, like she was going out of business or something. Anyways I'll probably stick with somewhere else myself, but she came through in a pinch.

Worst place to buy pets.. We bought a pet from here and within 12 hrs it was dead.. We called her and she wanted to send it off to do an autopsy, which was fine.. She stated it died from internal injuries.. That bird either was in it's cage or with my daughter who absolutely loved it.. She refused to refund us or give us another bird.. $80 for that bird and we got nothing.. I also want to add she "clipped" his wings before we left which includes her holding it down tightly.. But it was our fault..

Cathy's isn't like the big box pet stores. She cares for all of her animals and they are all healthy. She can answer any questions you have. And if she doesn't have something you want, she will do her best to get it for you.

Smells awful as you enter the building, dog feces were on the ground! Bought three koi fish and one died the next day and the other two died after not even a month! Horrible place!
