Their classic turkey bologna used to be a favorite of mine. Recently I had a problem with this product which turned green within a day of opening. The company wasn't very accommodating with providing a refund.Looks like I won't be buying Empire's products in the future.

No doubt about it, kosher chicken is delicious. I like dark meat and I had to stop buying empire's chicken thighs/legs because there were too many pin feathers on them, making them an absolute nightmare to prepare for cooking. After 3 years of not eating empire kosher chicken thighs/legs because of the prepping nightmare, I missed the taste of kosher chicken and over the last couple of months have been buying empire whole chickens, since empire kosher is the only type of kosher chicken available in my area. I figured buying the whole chickens would have been better, because empire also puts a lot of waste (the chicken backs!) in with the thighs still ATTACHED to the back! Even the cheapest chicken companies at .69 cents per lb. don't do that! Since I missed the taste of kosher chicken and started to buy whole empire chickens lately, it's been a pain once again because of the many pin feathers that still have to be pulled out before you can cook it, more now than ever before! Well, today was IT for me when I tried in utter frustration to prepare a whole empire chicken for cooking! It's now at the point for me where the taste just isn't worth the disgusting preparation needed go through removing close to 75 pin feathers; almost an hour and a half of labor this time! On this whole empire chicken, I had to deal with pin feathers on, under, over and around the wings, breasts, legs, by the thighs, etc. Empire says that the reason their chix legs & thighs (packaged separately) are filled with pin feathers, as are their whole chickens, is because of the "kosher process", whatever that's supposed to mean. In any event, it just isn't worth the hassle anymore, especially at THESE prices! Why companies selling the cheapest chix don't have to leave their pin feathers in their leg/side quarters or their whole chickens as empire does is proof positive that empire is full of it. Empire saying that they have to leave their chickens "uncleaned" because this is their "koshering process" is just disgustingly gross and outright ridiculous! Empire has now, once and for all, lost my business forever, especially at empire's prices!

The place sucks to work at,the employees smoke Marijuana in front of those that dont,the Rabbi's are disrespectful and the supervisors treat us like we are modern day slaves and the pay isn't worth it neither is the benefits. Union sucks and they don't do anything for the employees,but they deduct money from your weekly check just because they can.

I bought three bags of their chicken parts and they were both terrible! I only bought them last month and they were freezer burnt, cut wrong and feathers all over them! Just plain nasty! Never again. Not sure if I want to open the third bag.

They will terminate your job and hire you back in same week everyone is on stress and depression meds or drugs only way I know anyone would work here. P.s product should be called cannot believe it's not kosher.

I bought products from this company and I am so disgusted by their greedy.In a tray of chicken thighs for example, they cut the pieces in a way that you don’t have any thighs!!! there is only carcass and even parts of the tail!!!What a disrespect with the consumer!!!!! What a shame !!!!!!

Horrific employer...terrible working conditions...insane and lazy supervisors...if you are self-loathing...have no dignity...or self-respect...and in need of remindinding how much further you can fall...work at this place for a few days...this place would not exist were it not for the immigrant population needing work...
