Our visit to Wellsboro Small Animal Hospital Veterinary Medical Center during a weekend getaway turned into an emergency situation when our puppy needed immediate attention. Despite the late hour on a Friday night, Dr. Salevsky and the team were our heroes, answering our call promptly and providing urgent care. Their quick response, including X-rays and pain relief, eased our worries and ensured our puppy's comfort.What struck us most was the team's kindness and professionalism in the face of our panic. They remained calm and supportive, guiding us through the process with clear instructions and empathy. Even in a stressful situation, their demeanor put us at ease and made us feel confident in their care.Beyond the immediate treatment, the team took proactive steps to ensure our puppy's ongoing well-being. They arranged follow-up care with a 24-hour service in Harrisburg, showing their commitment to comprehensive support for pets and their owners.Our experience at Wellsboro Small Animal Hospital Veterinary Medical Center was a testament to their exceptional emergency care and dedication to pets and their families. We can't thank Dr. Salevsky and the team enough for their professionalism, compassion, and peace of mind during a challenging time. It was horrible! They said my dog had worms, when I don't believe she did! Just so they could charge me an additional 80 dollars. Gave my dog meds not supervised by the Doctor! All on the say so of a Vet Tech! When I questioned this Dr. Carlin was not nice, or willing to come to some agreement. I will never leave my dog with them again.

They are so loving towards the animals! They always know what to do in tough situations and the staff are very knowledgeable. I've been taking my puppy here for 3 years now and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Whether it be surgery, shots or a checkup they all do a wonderful job. They also have an awesome selection in their little shop so you can browse around while you wait. Toys, treats, beds, food, shampoo..you name it, they have it. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I had to have my kitty get an ultrasound, and discovered he had cancer and needed to be put to sleep. The doctor was so kind and handled my baby so well, and me too. He and everyone there was just so very kind. It really made such a difference on such a terribly difficult day. ❤️

While camping recently, I had to take my small dog to receive emergency care… The staff was very friendly but the vet didn’t appear to know how serious of an injury she had with all her paws cupping. At least he did not relay concerns to us. it’s a neurological injury to the spine. We even presumed it. He took x rays of her entire spine and did blood work. He said she probably had a pinched nerve in her neck. Gave an oral anti inflammatory medication. But nothing to relieve her pain in the office. He just kept saying we don’t have the equipment to do MRI. My dog couldn’t walk or even stand. She was in pain. Did he really know what he was doing or just wanted to get some money out of us? Paid $600 for no answers and no real treatment for our precious family member. The next day, we packed up and went home. We took her to State College to an animal hospital. Within a half our, we had to make the decision to put her down to end her suffering. Very disappointed with the vet at Middleberry center leaving our dog in pain for 2 days. The vet in state college didn’t have to do any tests and knew what was wrong with her almost immediately. RIP Izzy…miss you …you’re in no pain any more.

Outstanding staff, Veterinarian Technicians , and Doctor's The only Veterinarian office open on Saturdays in my area for emergencies. I walked into the office with a broken heart Knowing that my sixteen year old dog had reach its life span. I left the facility with a don't give up on the pet The dog is now home resting. Will follow up with the Doctors recommend procedures.

All of the Staff are very helpful & very caring. The doctors take time with my Snoopy and they are very thorough. They take the time to explain things to me and gladly answer any questions or concerns I may have. They truly care about every pet that comes in. I would highly recommend Wellsboro Small Animal Hospital concerning all of your pets needs.💖😊

We've been taking our dogs here for nearly three years. The staff is great and clearly cares for our pets. The office is clean and has many high-tech amenities you wouldn't normally find in a rural practice. We are very glad to have Wellsboro Small Animal Hospital nearby!

The Wellsboro Small Animal Hospital is one of the best ever. Not only did the treat my grumpy dog that only likes her moms, they gave the best care to my lab. Byt was almost 11 and was in pain, we called and they got us right in. And the compassion they showed while we said goodbye to our babygirl was so heart felt. Top Notch people.

Very clean and friendly place to take your small animals. These folks know their stuff and are not afraid to explain things that maybe an issue. I called on a Friday morning to get an appointment and they got me in that Saturday which I believe was quick.

Are you INSANE???! $27, YES, twenty seven dollars for a nail trim on a small dog. You should be ashamed of yourselves! Preying on people wanting to car for their animals. That price doesn't even come close if you google how much is a dogs nail trim. When seniors count on others for needing help and getting a dogs nails trimmed, $27 is being a thief. You should tell people this prior to having it done. Claims they need $7 more dollars to pay the tech. ???? Then have to take a photo of credit card because systems are down? Smells fishy to me! Not honest at all!

Stitched my dog up when he cut his leg on a window. Got him in pretty quick. Seemed to handle Scotty very well from what I seen. Little pricey, but not unreasonable. Helped out another time treating my boy for lyme disease. Faxed his medical records to Georgia one time right away so I could get him treated there while traveling for work.

These people care about what they do.Our 6 month pup was bit by a wasp or should I say the pup bit the bee .well he had a reaction. Called them ,we gave pup benadryl. They had us come right over and looked him over and gave him a shot . This was a Saturday. We where camping at ives run.God bless them, staff and the doctor.

We recently moved to Wellsboro and have nothing but good things to say about this vet. We should probably get a frequently flyer card for our repeated visits with different fur babies. The prices are excellent and all options and costs are discussed before anything is done. No pushy upselling tactics or judgement for your decisions.

Dr Carlin is a top notch vet, as well as her son, Jonathan, who is also a vet there too. Very new, up to date facility. I would highly recommend their Small Animal Hospital. We have been dealing with them for many years.

Expensive and they take my pets away to treat, to which I could not supervise treatments and calm my animals. Some treatments were ineffective or incomplete because pet became aggitated and they stopped treatment. With a $48 charge just for the appointment...plus their charge for stool tests, shots, etc. Makes it difficult to afford regular checkups, especially when you have multiple pets to be seen. I have 8 currently!

Dr. Carlin and staff dontheir very best in providing conscientious care and treatment for our pets. We have tried other veterinarians in our area, but find that Wellsboro Small Animal Hospital has the ability to make more accurate diagnoses and determine appropriate treatments for issues and conditions.

Came in with a very very sick puppy (we had end of June appts for all three dogs but puppy got sick before...they said yeah we will work u in but it will hours prob at days end when all appts are finished...not one bit impressed drooling n vomiting lil guy was lethargic couldnt even hold down water I say again..not impressed
