Great winery! Many delicious wines for every taste. Tasting room had expanded and is very quaint and rustic. Gift shop is lovely with many unique items. Staff are welcoming and friendly! A great day trip destination! Beautiful Fall drive up and finished off our perfect day with dinner at Rusty Rail!

I've been going to this winery for 19 years. The tasting room and wine list has grown quiet a bit. I always receive friendly service. There's surely a wine to please every palette. The Anniversary White is one of my favorites.You can get a flight, bottle, or slushie and sit on the deck and enjoy the beautiful views. They have a nice selection of gifts and some local snacks as well. They also offer some recipes on how to use some of their wines. Try to make it to their Harvest Festival in the fall.

Stopped at their Open House just by chance of being in the area on a Saturday in November. Had wine/food pairings @ $1 each; 4 pairings = $4. Ginger Owl was the best surprise. 5 wine tastings for free at bar. Too many to choose from. Need to stop by again to try more.

Great views from the deck. Indoor seating as well. Large wine selection for tastings. Slushies too. No kitchen but cheese boards are available and the gift shop has packaged food options. Nice place to spend an afternoon.

Actually , forgot I was at this place and think it was just with a friend. Remembered the place after I went inside which is pretty nice. Nice selections of wines and fits to purchase. The wine vineyards seem to be endless and beautiful l.

We stopped by this lovely location while on a day trip and it was worth it! Not only do they have good wine and food, but they also are amazing people. Even though we were guests, they made us feel like family! I recommend you visit, shop, stay and drink and eat. Thanks Amy (spelled A-m-y) and Dee for a lovely time!

Great prices and delicious wine but they could spruce up the seating options it was very uncomfortable plastic fold out chairs and their food was pretty sad to be honest. But the wine was yummy so maybe eat before you go!

Good service but........ no more then 2 flights at 2ozs & can't have more then that unless you have a DD... FYI: incase you wanted to plan to have a good day! Would not recommend without a DD....

Shade Mountain Winery was a hidden gem we happened across during a recent trip. Staff was beyond friendly (family run). COVID-19 compliant location. Hand sanitizer at the door and masks must be worn except when seated on the deck (tabkes with umbrellas). Clean location & nice view from the deck odf the rolling hills in the distance.. Flights of (5) different wines or by the glass too. Nice selection to satisify most. Dry, sweet and in between. Vinyards right on property.

Great location to spend an afternoon in the outdoors, listening to music and fine wine. Great food, and they allow you to bring your own snacks. Attended with a friend in a wheelchair. They were responsive in allowing our party to get to a table. Great staff, great atmosphere, GREAT WINE. Must attend event.

Had such a great day at this winery - they were so accommodating to our party of 6, we sat outside on the deck for a while and the scenery was beautiful, then ended up inside due to the weather. The wine was very reasonably priced and I highly recommend checking out all the stuff they have to purchase, we all got beautiful wine glasses!

I have not had the pleasure of visiting the vineyard yet, but I did pick up a bottle of Granny Z's Hard Tea wine at a gas station in central PA on a road trip and holy mother of god is this stuff dangerous. Unlike all the tea-esque hooches around the world and the entirety of Long Island, Shade Mountain has actually managed to make a drink that just....tastes like iced tea with a little hint of lemon. The simple things are always the hardest to get right, and this is so right it's come all the way around and is about to pass you on the left. It's amazing, miraculous, and a whole bunch of other adjectives I would have known back when I started the bottle. 10/10, no notes, this is the absolute best wine I have ever impulse bought at a gas station at 3am. I will probably be ordering some soon or planning another road trip....

My wife and I visited Shade Mountain Winery recently. The staff was very friendly and the wines are spectacular and very affordable. My favorite is the Chambourcin, a dry red and my wife liked the "Stone Aged Prehistoric Peach", a sweeter/fruitier wine. Shade Mountain Winery will definitely be on our list of places to visit whenever we are in the area.

I absolutely adore this place! The best fruit and ice wines I’ve had on the Wine Trail. The owners are friendly and accommodating and equally as knowledgeable about their craft as they are their unique offerings. The free(and generous) tastings are unmatched and always end in the purchase of at least one or two bottles... did I mention I love this place?A must stop for any wine lover wether it be grape or berry!

Shade Mountain’s employees are wonderful! They are kind and knowledgeable. Whether you are going in to purchase wine, attending an event or to do a tasting, the atmosphere and staff are wonderful. Their products are varied and also reasonably priced!The views from outside are an added pleasure as the surrounding views are very beautiful.

My friend and I made a 2 hour road trip to get to the winery. WELL worth the trip!!! Debbie was so friendly and helpful. It was extremely hard to choose only 6 samples!! (My friend and I decided to each choose 6 different wines so we could get 12 tastes. EVERY one was very good!!!) We purchased THREE cases so that tells you how much we loved the wine.!! (:> Hope to get back to sample the ones we didn't get to taste and have time to linger and enjoy the beautiful scenery from the patio. HIGHLY recommend this winery!!!

Great local winery for central Pennsylvania. Their wines are fantastic. We love the chardonnay and well, we just went back to purchase a case for our wine cellar. Everyone at the winery is so helpful and of course a fun place to taste wines. Of course we will be back as soon as we finish the case. :)

Fun little venue with everything events, fantastic wines and a very friendly staff. Outdoor seating on the deck is superb with the views; although the name is shade, you can see plenty of vines and hills. They also have a couple local beers available for those who prefer hops over grapes.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! We even had the opportunity to watch their grape picking machine in action. One of them even gave us a sample of the grapes right off the vine.

One of the nicest winery's around, all the wine we sampled was delicious we had a hard time deciding on what wine to buy. The inside has a log cabin feeling, with a large sampling area and store. The staff was nothing but helpful and informative.
