Staff are always helpful and friendly, willing to help me talk through my project and what I need to get it done. Selection is very good especially considering the size of the store, so far I've been able to find almost any fittings, screws, nuts, painting supplies, staining, and sanding as I've been working through fixing up my house. Very happy to have them so close to home for quick access to this items I always seem to forget until I'm half way into a project.

Been coming here for many years, sometimes multiple times a week being im a local. For such a small hardware store they have the inventory well figured out and usually have what you need. The workers there are super friendly and helpful and I consider them as friends as well. Even with a rough day working or working on something, Tracy especially, as well as the others enlighten my mood. They are far more helpful then most home depot or lowes employees. Figured I'd finally give them a reveiw. Please support this buisness. Some prices are higher and some are cheaper but they have a great rewards program as well!

There’s not one person working in that store you have that doesn’t give it their ALL every day! It’s like going back in time. Even get the old-time hardware store smell when you walk in the front door. I like it better than the new car smell. Always friendly greetings, always how you doing, always how can I help? If they don’t have it, they have something that’s just as good. Best Hometown hardware store in Pennsylvania! Why say now, that’s strong.

Thanks to Valley Hardware and owner Bernie for the extremely kind donation of materials for my son's Eagle Scout project. There was no hesitation, only a "Yes, we'd be glad to help out". In addition, the Valley Hardware team was very helpful and accommodating putting together all of the materials and working through all of the details of what was needed. The gentlemen who helped me did so courteously and with a good sense of humor. They helped me order something online, explained their rationale for asking for payment upon taking my order, and explained the probable date when my order would be ready for pickup. I am a colored man and have been living in the county for the past 13 years and have been to this store a couple times since then. Recently, I went in to buy an item. When I walked in, a man and a woman were standing behind the counter and the woman said "hi" to me. I then went into the aisles to search for my item and I saw the same woman race down next to me and ask me if I needed help searching for something with another male associate who came into the aisle, staring at me. I told her what I needed and she pointed it out. I then exited the aisle, bought my item, and walked out. I felt that they thought I was going to steal something because the male associate did not leave the aisle until I left and it made me very uncomfortable.

I only go here if i'm in dire need of something, there is a guy by the name of Tom that's very rude! Also i feel uncomfortable because they act like your going to steal something and follow you around, the only good thing is they usually have what you need but so does Lowe's and Home Depot!
