I recently purchased a Zero Turn at Bowers as I was looking to support small business. I had dealt with a different local mower place previously, which I will choose to let them remain unnamed…as my experience was not great….At Bowers, I dealt with Nevin who was helpful and delivery was timely. I’m pretty happy at this juncture. I am not sure what the future holds but am hopeful that any future dealings with Bowers will be as good as when I purchased this Zero Turn.

I've purchased a few things from here and have had my mowers fixed a few times here. Very quick turn around and usually have my equipment ready for pick up 1-3 days after drop-off as I run a small business. I did have a issue with one of my mowers having charging issues and had to take it back mutiple times until the cause was fixed. Haven't had anymore electrical issues since. I've had some other issues with the mower that were fixed right the first time with quick turn around. Definitely recommend.

Inquired about renting a Simplicity Courier. The staff answering the phones is very knowledge and helpful however the manager is extremely nasty & rude. I offered to pick up from NYC - with union teamsters (since finding this equipment is difficult locally) AND was willing to pay more than the rental price. The manager hung up on me. His claims below are false.

Called the other day to order a belt for my edger . Spoke to Nevin and gave him the serial number for the edger. He stated he was able to get one. I asked him to order one. He asked me to pay for it up front. I stated to him i just order blades last week for the same edger and did not have to pay for it upfront.He and got very short with me. I understand stand asking to pay for things up front but his attitude and his quick hanging the phone up before finishing our conversation.Just to make it clear I do not have a problem paying for an item upfront when ordering but he could have been a little nicer on the phone. I probably purchased my last item from them.

Iam very disgusted & not going to do bussiness with Bowers anymore. I took a generator there're to leaking oil at a gasket and 1 other minor repair & I paid over $250.00 when it was done. A week later it started to leak oil at same spot so we called Boweers agin and let them know it was leaking at same spot and told me to bring it back and there would be no charge to repair it again but after it was done I got charged another $250.00+ so it cost me over $500.00 total to repair it which was wrong on Bowers sales and rental bussiness.

Needed to rent an impact drill, quick and easy rental, nice selection of new equipment. Some of their zero turns for sale would be an excellent choice for commercial mowing companies. They carry a 40HP zero turn, biggest I've seen at any store in a while.

Have had one too many negative experiences with servicing and customer service from the owner that even 1 star seems too much. From damage in the shop, blame shifting, and sub-par "solutions" to belittling of my wife and I, I cannot in good conscience, recommend this place. I feel sorry for the rest of the staff, who seemed genuinely interested in working out a meaningful solution to our service needs.

Needed to rent a roofing nailer for a small job of replacing my shed roof. Communicated via email three times and each time was responded to very quickly. The crew at Bowers are pleasant, efficient and and do a great job. Their turn around to repair our zero turn was excellent, they when above and beyond on their work. They even repaired a tire with out us asking. They are very reasonably price also. We have them service all our lawn equipment.

I found a mower that a neighbor had put out for free and had it tuned up at another business. It was old and beat up, but was a Toro and was told that it could die the first time I used it or last years. It served us for about a half-season.i took it to Bowers to have it looked at when the engine froze. I didn't have much hope for it, but the staff (Nevin and Alex) thought it might be salvaged. They didn't pressure me to buy a new one, but gave me the option of diagnosing it and having it fixed if it could be.It could not. When I asked for them to show me a replacement, they took my needs and cost considerations into account and did not try to pressure me into a larger purchase than I wanted. When I came in to purchase, it was ready, all set up, they explained what I needed to know, and were very efficient, courteous, and businesslike.I'd give 6 stars (or more) if I could. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

My one-star review does reflect the performance of the store if they cannot enforce a simple safety measure requiring people to wear a mask. It's really not that hard.

We hired them to fix our lawn mower and Generator. Got our Generator back and it still wasn't fixed. My Husband was able to figure out the problem and fix it himself. They still charged us, but never fixed the problem. We got our Lawn Mower back and just used it the other day. It still has the same issue. They charged us over $300 for both and never fixed a thing. Then they harassed us for payment and would not own up to the fact that they never did anything. I have two other neighbors who used their services and the same thing happened to them. They were charged and nothing was fixed on their mowers either. I will never use them again and wouldn't advise anyone to use them.The Owner did reach out to my Husband to fix the issue we had. Yes, I am happy that you want to fix the issue, but your statement that this was a cruel way to handle the situation is uncalled for. Our lawnmower was already sent back to your location since it was never fixed. We never received a phone call apologizing for having to send it back or for not fixing the problem in the beginning before my review. However, we did receive a call from you after you read my review. The proper way to handle this situation would have been handing it before it got to this point.

My husband and I were looking to purchase a Zero Turn mower for our property and we looked at Bowers Rental. We had looked at a unit that my husband was interested in and they let us have a demo before we purchased it. In the end we did purchase a Ferris Zero Turn Mower and we were NOT disappointed. The staff at Bowers did not push us into purchasing it they gave us time to think about it before we purchased. We can't thank Bowers enough for what they did for us. Thank you for everything!

I was going to refrain from leaving such a negative post hoping that Nevin was just having an off day but after today's phone call I feel compelled to tell everyone of this service experience.I figured I'd go to a local business for a new Mower. Initial impressions were positive. The transaction was easy and my products were registered with the manufacturer before I left. Unfortunately, that's where my positive experience ended.Half way through my second mowing one of the rear drive wheels fell off twice. I took it back and said that I wanted to return the mower. I was told that it was up to toro to offer a refund. Sounded unusual but I phoned the company which after two hours they told me what I suspected all along Toro had nothing to do with refunds. I went back the following day, politely asked for a refund. Nevin argued with me, questioned my character, doubted whether I am a small business owner and flat refused to issue a refund despite being 110% within the parameters outlined in the receipt which I had with me.In the end I had to call Discover and have them issue a charge back. THAT WAS MID-JUNE..... Today he called and initially I thought he was going to apologize but instead he lobbed a few more insults and informed me that he would now have to try and recoup his losses on used mower. When I wished him good luck he hung up promptly! Spare yourself the hassle and shop anywhere else!!

Once in a while you find a rare combination: a great product line, displayed in a clean showroom, and sold by honest folks who serve the customer efficiently. I have used Bowers Sales and Rentals since I moved into the area back in 1987. They have provided the right tools for whatever job I'm doing, the latest being a top-quality Ferris Zero-turn mower. I had used Ferris mowers in the past as part of our church's lawn mowing crew, but never dreamed of owning one myself. The independent suspension is just what the doctor ordered for my arthritic lower back, and Nevin Weaver's expertise helped me choose the model and financing package that best met my needs. Fairness to their customers is part of the Bowers DNA, and it shows whether you are making a major purchase or getting a tool sharpened for a few dollars. It's great not having to waste time shopping around for the 'best deal'. When you consider all the factors--especially service--Bowers has been the best bang for my buck.

Bowers is a good place to go in the area for lawn and garden equipment. I have bought a couple Stihl handheld pieces here over the years and never had a problem with any of it. The guys at the parts counter are helpful when I come in. Nevin is always helpful and takes the time to make sure you get what you need.

I have used them several times for my snowblower and mowers. Everytime there has been an issue.Snowblower worked well for many years. Decided to have it serviced. Now it will only stay running with choke fully on. Latest problem took mower for repair got it back with a gas leak. How can you repair and test the mower and NOT notice a gas leak. In addition a wheel for the deck fell off several years ago. I gave them the wheel to put on. Wasn't put on. Took mower back they couldn't find the wheel. Mower is there at the time of this review. I will be picking it up to see if the issues have been fixed. Better not be charged for the wheel. Also shouldn't be charged extra for the gas leak issue. To compensate me for my gas,wear and tear on my truck and the aggravation. Bet I'll be charged.

Purchased 3 new 3200 this spring.37 hp engine runs flawlessly, 4 wheel independent suspension give you and the machine a insurpassable ride, and you sit on a suspension seat on top of that yet too, means you have the smoothest ride you could possibly imagine. The competition can not touch that kind of quality and the price is not ridiculous!If I was to redo that it would do exactly the same thing again! Put a dealer llik Bowers behind it, somebody that actually cares about there customers and you will be a happy camper. Did I say nothing is going to go wrong? It did but they fixed it in a reasonably prompt time!
