Hymie’s located at 342 Montgomery Ave, Merion Station, PA 19066 is a top shelf Deli featuring freshly cooked Meats such as Pastrami, Corned Beef, Brisket and other fine Deli items. Great pickle bar too! Friendly staff who really go out of their way to help customers have a great experience. Excellent food!!One of the 2 best Deli’s I’ve been to.

My niece and I had breakfast this morning. The greeter at the door was so friendly and so was the lady that sat us. Our waitress I think her name was Ro? She was also very friendly and very attentive to us. My niece had blueberry pancakes and I had the 6oz. Corn beef special. The corn beef was so delicious. I really enjoyed the rye bread. My niece said that the pancakes were some of the best she had. We shared a slice of the chocolate and vanilla cake slices. We couldn’t even put a dent in it and of course took most of it home. I can’t wait to go back! Thanks for the great experience!!!!

If I lived closer to this restaurant, I would be more of a frequent visitor. I ordered the hot pastrami Reuben with onion rings and they were fabulous. The sandwich was piled high with pastrami and the portion of onion rings was quite overwhelming so kudos to the kitchen. My server, Jessica was terrific and her service was outstanding. She constantly checked on me, answered my questions and provided a beautiful, warm smile. I am looking forward to my next visit!

Just nasty, a $15 hoagie that look like a poppy store hoagie. My boyfriend ordered while I was on the phone and the man repeated my order back to me and still put what he wanted on my hoagie. How old are those onions?? I asked for extra onions and lettuce, I got little to none. I don’t taste my black pepper or the oregano, and I see no Mayo on the roll. I specifically said no red peppers seeds and he still added them to my sandwich. I WILL NEVER RETURN!! NO THANKS!!! Hope I don’t get sick 😷🤦🏾♀️

This place has great atmosphere but objectively bad, cheap, food. The best part is the pickle bar which is excellent. The staff are friendly. But again, don't expect great deli food, because this is definitely not a place that cares about their food. Greasy, cheap meats and cheese, frozen burgers, I don't get the hype at all. I want to love this place and have given it a few shots but wont be back anytime soon.

Hymie's is the must-stop restaurant for me when I visit family on the main line. It has that feel of a main stay institution that has rightfully earned its reputation over decades. Once seated service is prompt and friendly. Menu is extensive with local and Jewish staples. Everything I've tried has been exceptional with a special nod to the Nova salmon fish platter.

Consistently great. Pickle bar is has a nice selecction. The potato pancakes were made fresh with real potatoes--no filler. Served with applesauce and sour cream. I always grab cookies to go. Melt in your mouth delicious.

I was in the Philly for the weekend and all I could think about was a great night pastrami sandwhich. My friend’s aunt recommended this place to me and let me tell you it was one of the best deli’s I’ve ever been to. It’s rare to find old, traditional Jewish delis, as everywhere you go every great local place is being replaced by chain stores. I loved the atmosphere and how the store was set up. We waited about 10 minutes to sit down, but in the meantime we had a chance to look at their store and the fresh deli market they have inside. They have a complimentary salad and pickle bar, which offered amazing pasta salads. I ordered one of their breakfast specials that included potato pancakes, grilled pastrami, and poached eggs. The pastrami was so fresh and bountiful. It was some of the best pastrami I’ve ever had. I can’t recommend this place enough if you are in Philly and are looking for a classic delicatessen! I brought some slice pastrami home and have been making delicious bagels all week.

If I could give them 12 stars I would!! Talk about great customer service! I ordered a lot of meat and bread and my husband didn’t check the order when he picked everything up. When he got home I unpacked the bag and realized we were missing 3 lbs of meat and bread. I called and explained the situation and without hesitation, the owner drove the items we were missing to our house and saved our dinner with friends. It is a 45 minute drive each way and this was 2 days before Christmas - a very busy time for them. He did it because as he said “ it’s the right thing to do”! They have a customer for life!

First time customer of Hymie's. Been hearing good things for years. Today, I had a taste for a hot sandwich. I couldn't decide between pastrami or corned beef. Based on the reviews I went with the pastrami. Big disappointment. The sandwich was not hot. The bread was barely toasted. The cheese was cold and stiff. Worst got pastrami sandwich I've ever had. I might consider going back to try the corner beef. Maybe. At least they gave a lot of fries and ketchup.

I’ve been coming to Hymie’s for many many years. Tonight I ordered dinner from DoorDash. Long story short, when I went to pick it up, it was lost. As it was a little annoying it wasn’t the biggest deal. What made it so great and easy for me to smile was the new manager Dominic introduced himself. What a phenomenal person. He apologized emphatically. Really trying to turn around the customer service at Hymie’s. Super impressed and will be returning soon. A+.

I just had my first visit back to America in three years, and made absolutely sure to get some of the corned beef here before I left again. I can’t wait to come back again. I’d happily recommend this restaurant to anyone on Earth.

Was in the area and stopped for breakfast. Delicious challah French toast, delicious bagels, delicious lox spread, and homemade white fish salad. The portions were generous as well. My suggestion would be to serve maple syrup instead of processed Smuckers on that delicious French toast and clean or replace the coffee maker. That coffee was not good. But we'll be back anyway. I just won't order the coffee 🙃

Still great after all these years but some things aren't as good as they used to be which is sad but sometimes inevitable. The matzo ball soup was my absolute favorite and it's still good but I might have had an okay batch compared to what I'm used to from them. The challah French toast is still amazing and you still get an amazing portion. Waitress was okay.

What a great lunch we had at Hymies. Fresh just baked rye bread stuffed with generous portions of corned beef and pastrami that melts in your mouth. Hymies is the perfect reason to never have to be yearning for a NY Deli. It's always the same... DELICIOUS!

N o t a real Itslian roll for roast beef. No taste st all. I didn't know Lara the waitress was owner of the place.. She gets ex employees numbers when I picked up her check. Then she says she wants to hire her back. Then calls again when there is zero intention to hire her back. She must be very proud person. To go out of her way to hurt others. When not necessary. Must have a very shallow life. Deli Girl.

Absolutley loved their food and their pickle / relish bar. Was taken here on my visit from out of town and was blown away by the extra large option of soup. Be sure to try the Mish Mash soup. Especially on a cold day. They made beautiful deli platters for a party we were attending!
