Wish I could give this place a 0 because this man was on the phone with my mom today and wouldn’t let my mom speak and saying incredibly rude things to her when in actuality if he did let my mom speak, it was their fault. They claimed we canceled too many times for vacuuming our pool when that’s not the case. Whoever came to vacuum our pool turned off our electricity and touched switches he shouldn’t have been then left without saying much more. It’s a shame because our family has been going to this place for 20 years to only get treated like this when it wasn’t even our fault. Also, we called an electrician to come and see what the problem was and they even said it was the vacuum guy’s fault because he keeps turning off the switches for some reason. Hope whoever was on the phone today with my mom gets fired because there was no way he should’ve acted the way he did, especially when he wouldn’t hear our side our the story.

Wish I could give this company zero stars. I'm renting a house and was missing a filter part for my pool. I was told by the woman who answered the phone (who had an attitude) that they had the part. When I went by to get it, I was told that there was a remaining balance and that needed to be cleared up by my landlord (which he did) before I could get my part back. The problem here is that they take your pool parts in at the end of the season and leave an open balance so you have to call them when you go to open the pool. There was literally a charge on their books from over 6 months prior that needed to be paid! I'll use any other service in the area before I use this company, glad I didn't sign a contract.

Great locally owned pool supply store. Always have friendly and helpful staff and plenty of stock in the store to help you fix any of your both in ground and above ground needs.

BUYERS BEWARE- My family has been going to this location for years and my last visit turned me off big time. I expressed that this was the first time I was opening my pool alone and could they help me get started. The young man behind the counter rolled his eyes huffed and puffed like I was Inconveniencing him and rudely asked me what the pool size was and told me if I didn’t know to come back when I did. He didn’t even try to help me and not to mention when we finally did start talking about chemicals he tried to get me to purchase some off the wall stuff I didn’t need for my pool. I felt like they were trying to take advantage because I was a pool expert. I only gave a 2 because the other workers were very nice.

I paid for an acid wash. Instead they lied and did an hour long power wash. Then tried to get our money back and they refused after acknowledging they lied about their original services provided.

We had quite the journey with Aquavita and it is worth a review here. We purchased a house where the pool had not been open for close to 20 years (inground concrete). Most pool companies turned us away, no matter how much we were willing to spend to get it up and running THIS Summer. Aquavita happily fit us into their busy schedule, took on the challenge and got our pool up and running in 2.5 months. While it took a while, we were able to get all new products through them and they cleaned it extensively. With current state of COVID, lots of places had parts on backorder, but Aquavita had everything we needed to bring the pool back to life. We also found a leak in the returns and their team did extensive testing to help us identify where the leak was for us to plan for fixing in the future. They were still able to put a temporary line in so that we could swim this summer. All of Aquavita's staff were professional, helpful and knowledgable. There were times they couldn't make it twice in one week but that was understood considering it was middle of the busy season. They made massive progress every time they were here. Lynn from the Service leadership team helped coordinate everything and knew enough to get consultation over the phone most days. Ben was a rockstar in keeping us informed & learning throughout the process. Thank you Aquavita for bringing a 50+ year old Concrete Pool back to life. 5 Stars from us in North Wilmington!

I had to order a new pool liner from an outside company because aquavita said that they could not find one. That’s fine and I found one on my own. It was delivered and I called aquavita to install (this was a Thursday) and they said they would install on Tuesday. It rained, so I totally understood not coming. They told me they would be there Wednesday. They did not show and did not call to let us know. They show up in the afternoon on Thursday and put the new liner in. They were quick and did awesome. The installer told me that I could only fill my pool to a certain height so he could come back in the morning to smooth any wrinkles and cut out holes for the skimmer. Great, so I did just that. Friday comes and no one shows up. I call around 2 and they state that I should have called them to tell them the pool filled to the designated depth. No one told me I had to call them! They guy said he would just show up. They lady was not helpful whatsoever and said “I hope they can get to you today” really!? So now I am out of a pool for the entire weekend because this company does NOT know how to communicate to it’s customers or to each other. Great work, but I cannot handle lack of communication and lack of organization.

Media store- Paid to have my pool liner installed by Aquavita with the hopes it would be done correctly by a “professional”. Prior to installation I was informed everything looked good and there would be no issues. After the first day the employee left to come back “tomorrow” when more water would be in the pool and he could get the remainder of the wrinkles out. Tomorrow came and went after taking a day off from work to be home in case there were any issues but he didn’t come back. He came back the 3rd day without notifying anyone and cut out the filter hole and left. Our pool still has tons of wrinkles and looks very loose on the wall. I don’t encourage anyone to pay $600 for this. When trying to contact Aquavita I heard a bunch of “well send the installer back out” but that never happened. We finally talked to the head guy at the store who claimed he would get to the bottom of this as we’ve been a customer for 10+ years and even he never returned a call after two attempts. Bottom line expect poor customer service, poor communication, and find a different pool store.

Worst experience overall. It was a fiasco setting up our installation from the beginning. With confusing appointment setup, not returning calls, and rude attitude, Ruth is the most horrendous customer service rep I've ever had the displeasure of speaking with. When I managed to even get the liner, it wasn't what I ordered. The installation workers had an attitude as well. We've spent over $600, and one month later, the liner began leaking and Aqua Vita didn't want to hear from us at all. I will NEVER do business with these people again.

Awful customer service. Rude personnel, beginning with the woman who answers the phone. Got the run around with the initial order of a liner and installation. Constantly had to follow up with them and was told they'd get back with me. This happened 4-5 times over a month and a half before the order was actually placed, and each communication was rude. After speaking with Sean, it appeared to me that he condoned his staff's behavior. Took my business elsewhere, and much happier for it. Take my advice and follow suit.

aquavita always lists each job the did on opening & closings. All work is done by "services you wish us to perform" . If it is not checked - they do not do. All services are listed on the response card & the service contract but are only done by what's marked on the service agreement card by each customer. I have been a customer for years - they are the best. Sharon I

Would never use again! Rude Customer Service! Told me they didn’t want to service my pool anyways! They provided me with the wrong information for opening my pool, male employee who I spoke with after being billed said there was no way I was given that information and I filled pool incorrectly, which resulted in 2 visits and an extra charge. Upon calling he was raising his voice and speaking over me. I shared we would rethink using them to close the pool and I was told they didn’t want service my pool anyways.

Terrible pool company and extremely unreliable. Misplaced pool liner when we ordered it back in the winter. Then after memorial day weekend we called about the liner and they advised they do not have them yet. Plenty of other pool companies to use in the area. Half of our neighborhood does not use them anymore

I called to ask if they do installs or worked with a contractor that did. When I asked if they did installations, the woman who answered said "No. Thank you." and abruptly hung up before I could even get another word out.Update: I ended up calling back after speaking to a neighbor who was also getting a pool installed, and had gotten the name of two installers from Aquavita. This time I spoke with another person that was courteous and knowledgeable and he supplied me with the names of two different installers. I proceeded to purchase my above ground pool from them and used one of the installers that they had recommended.Since then I've gone into the store numerous times and they have been knowledgeable and helpful. If I hadn't had that initial experience this would be a five-star rating.

Wish I could give them a good review since I used them for almost 20 years. Unfortunately, they really fumbled a vinyl liner installation and have refused to make the necessary repairs. The liner is pleated in several locations on the bottom of the pool due to mis-measurement, the floor of the pool has craters several inches deep with rough edges. The beading is coming away from the edge in multiple locations. I'll probably have to replace the liner in a few years. I'll use somebody else then.

I’m December they came out to close the pool for the house I just bought. They took measurements for a custom pool cover. I have yet to hear anything about it. As a first time pool owner he never explained how to check the chlorine levels and how to make sure the water is optimal. Just showed me how to backwash. I expected a more in depth new pool owner orientation. The also removed a check value for my Pool Chemical Feeders and replaced it with just a pvc pipe. Not sure why they would remove a check valve for that! I specifically told this company on MULTIPLE occasions that I am a new pool owner and every time I talk to them they keep talking to me like i have owned my pool for years. A bit frustrating now since I am having to to google everything not to mention now I have to spend more money replace a check valve which is what I told them to do in the first place!!!!EDIT: I called 2 months ago to schedule a pool opening + new pool owner orientation. When they opened my pool they didnt explain anything to me other than how to backwash. I called today to see when they will be coming out for orientation. The gentleman on the phone was argumentative and keep telling me they dont know when they will be out to give me an orientation. So 2 months ago when I called to set this up they couldnt schedule it This is not how you do customer service. This is horrible service!!!!!EDIT: because of how the ball was dropped on multiple occasions this will be the first and only time I hire this company for my pool needs. As a new customer I felt like I was just an annoyance to them and I feel like they didnt take my needs seriously ( by not replacing my check value when I asked them to, by giving me misinformation, not following up when they said they were suppose to, 6+ months with waiting for a customer pool cover estimate) guess they dont want my money. I'll be happy to take my business to a company who will follow through with what they say and take me seriously as a customer. 2 months to hear back on scheduling a new pool owner orientation. Unbelievable. I called another company who might be able to schedule me in for an orientation in a few week. Lets here what this company says......EDIT: They are still not sure when they can come out and give me a new pool orientation. Went to leslie pool supply and in a 5 minute conversation with the rep they were more helpful than aquavita pools have been in the past 2 months. I was able to schedule a orientation with leslie pools for next week . Also the rep from leslie pools shook her head when i told them aquavita removed the check valve for my chlorinator. it was there for a reason!!!!! leslie pools rep told me she has had hear a LOT of horror stories about aquavita pool. Had them come out to look at my filter, which was caked in stuff. They were also shocked that aquavita didnt at least rinse them off before turning the pump. Aquavita pools has no idea what they are doing and the people on the phone want to argue with you and make you feel like a moron. I am surprised they acted this way over the phone with a new customer. I am taking my business elsewhere from now on. This company is a complete joke!!!!EDIT: Forgot to mention that they opened my DE filter and it looked clogged to me, their "best" tech said "oh its fine" however my PSI wont go below 25 PSI. I opened my filter, hosed it off and cleaned it thoroughly and guess what, TA DA its working as it should. Makes we wonder about the tech who arent labeled as their best techs LOL. They have absolutely no idea what they are doing. On 6/6/2019 @5:10 I called to cancel my orientation so they dont show up and try to charge me. Got another company who can do it next week. When I called to cancel they didnt ask why or anything. They simply just asked my name, said ok and hung up the phone. Added time stamp just in case they show up and try to charge me, which I have a feeling might happen.

I'm not sure why other reviews have bashed Aquavita. We own a pool and they are great. They open and close it for us ever year and my husband manages the chemicals himself, but buys them from Aquavita. Aquavita has also done some maintenance repairs on our equipment and we've always been without issue. They're always very polite and responsive and I would highly recommend them.

In March 2012 I met with Sean and went over to place an order for a new liner. He asked me for some pics and asked me to come back, which was fine. In April 2012, I returned with pics on my cell phone and first meet the women behind the 2nd floor doors. They told me the same thing Sean did (almost trying to get rid of me) and I tried to talk to them about my first visit with Sean. He happened to walk in, and knew me by name, and we talked and he told me he'd visit my home and call me, which he did. He told me he'd have his assistant Ruth write up an estimate and mail it to me. I asked if they could email it, and they told me no. (time stamp in case I had a problem and my first red flag) I had the mailed estimate in a few days and I returned a week later to finalize the purchase., Sean was real nice and I placed the order, I paid in full for the liner to be installed by them. The woman working in the store that day also informed me that "you are aware that the liner takes 4 to 6 weeks for delivery" Which I was fine with. (2nd red flag, why do things take 4-6 weeks in today's Fed Ex and UPS 2 day shipping age) They where real quick to get me an estimate. But all this is not a big deal due to the weather was kind of cold and I couldn't see myself swimming anyway. The estimate stated the liner would be installed between the 10th and 15th of May. Which came and went. They called the week if the 15th and told me the weather was not cooperating with their install schedule but would be out the following week. They did call me the day they wanted to install. The strange thing was I found out they where at my home after I saw 2 guys in my pool already working. (3rd red flag) Regardless, The guys where fine, professional and courteous and after about 3 hours, they started to fill the pool with the hose. This is when they told me there was a problem. Seems there was a slash in the liner and it was faulty and had to be removed. I was fine with this, I didn't think they did anything wrong, but I wanted to know when they'd have a replacement. They told me someone would call me with an answer. The next day, I called and Ruth and she told me "she didn't have an answer, Sean would have to talk with the liner maker and argue our case and hopefully they will send us a replacement to be installed but at this time she had no answers and would call me back when she did" The end of the week she called to tell me they'd install a new replacement liner on June 1st of the 4th. We are on their priority list. Well here it isJune 5th, no liner, no calls, no answers and my check, over 1300 dollars is cashed.I called Ruth and again, she told me we are at the mercy of the pool liner company.I was told a 15x28' oval pool 4' deep is a special order and 52" is normal. I guess, I could have them remove the sand and have a semi submerged pool a few inches deeper than the original, but I am not sure this is possible. I don't know if this is true or not either and at this point I don't know who to be mad at. I just know, I have no liner which I already paid for. You make your on opinion on this one...

I have purchased numerous parts, chemicals and sought free advice over the last 20 years. Most recently, to open my DE filter pool this year, after my baffles failed, my friends here turned around my filter baffle reconstruction in 72 hours as promised. 20 gallons of liquid chlorine later and we are cruising. Thanks guys.

Don't go here anymore! "New Policy" if you don't buy the correct chemicals from this store you will be charged to get your water checked! I just purchased liquid chlorine and a few small parts from this store and returned to get my water checked and I was told that I needed to pay for this service because I don't buy my chemicals from them. What??? I just bought the chlorine and I was going to buy muriatic acid and a new pole. And it's only April! I have purchased lots of parts and chemicals from this store over the years. I am a customer! I guess not good enough. They say they track your purchases to "help" you but that's a lie they track you so that they can charge you more if you don't purchase the marked up products! Also this "gentleman" informed me that he did not know how to check all the chemicals he only knew how to check some of them but he could charge me? NOT good business!! Don't mind paying to get my water checked at a pool store that I'm not a customer at. That's what I will do. Don't give them your business either!

Customer service is appalling! Went in for a repair, took home my item, it was NOT repaired. Took back to store to explain my situation. And the salesman intimidated me , verbally abused me and called me a liar!!Being a former customer, I was mortified! No stars!

I inherited a hot tub when I bought my house and used to go to Aquativa for supplies and advice. Before my last visit I called to ask if they had Sodium Bormide. The confusion on the phone should have been my warning. Eventually I was told they had was I needed so I drove to the store. I was surprised when I got there and was given a bottle of Brominating Concentrate instead. They convinced me it was what I needed so I purchased it. Before just blindly dumping the chemicals into my spa, I decided to research it a bit further and found out it was not what I asked for (I told them I wanted to start a bromide reserve and did NOT need a sanitizer). When I tried to return the bottle the next day I was told they do not accept returns (even though I purchased based on their "professional" advice). The man working the front desk was extremely rude, said that "he never heard of Sodium Bromide in his 20+ years of spa experience", and that "I should make sure I know what I need before I buy it".He was right. I went home and did some minimal reading about spa chemical management and determined that most of the info I was given over the past two years from Aquativa was incorrect. I now purchase my chemicals online and have them shipped to my door for half of what I used to spend locally. Aquativa, don't spend all that $25 you stole from me in one place!

Good supply of pool essentials. During off season the staff is very friendly and helpful, but during peak summer they are a bit less patient. As with most pool shops their prices are inflated in my opinion.

Missing a part for a pump that was discontinueds five years ago. Called six different pool stores trying to locate but no one carried the part. Gave up, found it online and ordered it but they called back to inform me the part was on back-order. At ground zero, decided to resume my search manually throughout Delco when I called these folks - polite, professional and 40% cheaper than what I found online!! My first call will be to Aquavita next time I'm in a pinch-
