Okay selection. Pricey but I don’t mind supporting a local business. My husband went to get a few things and asked a worker at the counter if they had any plant based burger patties. Guy said “let me check” and turned and snickered. Disrespectful to say the least. Not that losing our business will break their bank, but maybe train your staff to be better than that.

Nice place. Prices are OK, I found my salad dressing somewhere else for $1 less. The cashier didn't even look up and acknowledge us, she was too busy texting on her phone. Then when we were ready to leave my husband said "have a good day" and AGAIN she didn't even look up and acknowledge us.

Quality foods in bulk at good prices! My goto for prepared frozen gyro meat slices and pita bread. Use both for Greek and Turkish cooking. They now have a solid supply of fresh oysters!!!

My better half and I went here for the first time this past Saturday. We love this store! So much food, good prices, and very nice employees, especially the cashiers and the lady who packed our items perfectly into a box! We will definitely be back!

Nice selection of mostly bulk foods: meats, sauces, paper, cooking supplies, chicken nuggets, fries, etc... Many items are single serve (such as seafood), but not all. Good shopping for a family or small business. I'd say selection of goods & quality of brands is above par. Not cheap, more average or slightly higher end prices.Love the meats & the deli. Super friendly cashier's. They even have Sunday hours. This is Mechanicsburg's best kept secret, IMHO.

After hearing great things from friends, I was disappointed. Assortment wasn't great, I was looking for some beef, and they had only a few steaks and half the beef cases were frozen meatballs. Prices definitely seemed high end... Like 6 corn dogs for $6.29... those better be the best freaking corn dogs I ever ate!

The selection and quality is above par. The knowledge of the butcher is astounding. All in all what a great selection for people who have " common sense " expectations. Quality is not cheap-- but the best prices with guaranteed quality and service are at John Gross for the knowledgeable shopper. Also-- they have a full warehouse for all sorts of items when you entertain and/or have a large family-- just ask. **** Also best price on whole quality pork loins-- break them down to your taste.

I saw their brand new deli/meat and seafood case there I though I can't wait to show my wife, maybe we'd come here more often. They had oysters, I was figuring on going there a couple times a week once I saw that, so I bought 10 to try them, put them on ice, made my cocktail sauce, took them on the patio and the very 1st one I opened was dry and smelled horrible, what are the chances, the very 1st one, ugh. A few others looked open a bit, I am so disappointed and will never give them another chance, it will be awhile before I am able to look at another oyster after smelling the rotten one they sold me. At least they got their name right, GROSS, but should be named the grossest.

I like it here. I can pick up restaurant quality deserts and a 50 pound bag of bread flour. If I have any questions of a product I am looking for, they do their best to find it or offer similar quality item.

Formerly known as The Grossery, The Marketplace had been redesigned for an open shopping space. Most of the space is refrigerator and freezer shelves and bins. Basic dry and canned goods are available on a few shelves. There are some things you can't get in other stores, especially drink mixers of a dozen or more flavors.Some catering supplies are available, such as paper table covers, plastic ware, disposable dishes, etc.Bulk orders are available, but I don't need that, so I don't know much about them. If you see something in the store that you need in bulk, ask at the service desk.

Disappointed... They won't sell individual whole lunch meat Purdue golden roasted turkeys anymore. You have to buy a whole case since they put in their deli and charge more for lunch meat because they hired a kid to slice it for you. Might as well go to the grocery store for lunch meat since the cost is the same. No more saving money by buying bulk and slicing yourself.

I have never been to your establishment before. So I decided to stop by today to check it out. When I arrived at 4:29pm a man came out at 4:31pm and locked the door, walked around the corner lighting a cigarette. I thought maybe he was the only one in the store so he had to lock the door. But he did not return and I saw a female employee in the store. I double checked online to see when you closed and it said 5pm. So doors were closed early. I was not happy as this was my 1st experience there.

I do a lot of shopping here for foods that are good for long term storage. They have a lot of things there that are very good for that purpose. I recommend shopping there if you have a lot of storage room and freezer space. Most of the people who shop there are shopping for restaurants and businesses. But it's still worth a look.

Bought the party pack, we were informed they were out of the 4lb tubs so they would substitute 5lb tubs. Party pack was for three 4lb tubs and we only got 2 5lb tubs but still had to pay the same price.

If you know your prices and like buying bulk or large sizes it is a good place to purchase stuff. Also, if you need restuarant and deli takeout containers for anything a good place to buy.
