I began using this location after my former Rite Aid location (Wertzville) closed. This review reflects the sum total of my six months at this location. This location has been through several pharmacists- each has their strengths, but ALL were competent and genuinely invested in patient care.I have an extensive med list that includes three controlled substances that help me manage the chronic pain I experience secondary to an autoimmune condition... but I'm acutely aware that at 37ish and with a disability thats invisible to the naked eye, the opportunity to be stereotyped as a drug seeker always exists (especially in this age of the opioid crisis). I have experienced that at other local pharmacies- NEVER at Rite Aid. From Tasha to Matt, two of the former pharmacists, to the two pharmacists on staff now- Linda and Meaghan- I have been treated with the utmost respect. They accommodate my special request (one generic versus another, as its easier to swallow), they have never made me feel uncomfortable or treated me with rudeness (I read some of these reviews and wonder what the other side of those stories are...), and both current pharmacists, Meaghan and Linda, have spoken with me like they GENUINELY care about helping me manage my condition on the whole so I can spend as much time as possible feeling human and participating in this world. The techs have been mentioned in some of the other reviews, and I think as with any entry level retail position, you're going to get a range of personalities and abilities. My experience here has been that some of the (seemingly former) techs are just "okay"- they got the job done without the best bedside manner- to exceptional.A recent interaction with the tech that has been mentioned in some other reviews, Teddy, is what prompted me to sit down to write this today. One of my medications has been difficult to get in due to national shortages- something totally outside the control of Rite Aid as a corporation and certainly outside the control of this location! Teddy took the time reach out to me to explain what is happening, what he could and couldn't do for me, what he anticipated moving forward, and what options I had. At the end of our conversation, I felt empowered to talk with my doctor to make informed decisions moving forward.I will continue to use this Rite Aid location without concern of having an experience that parallels some of the negative reviews I've seen here. I think treating employees at the shops you frequent as *human beings*, not RoBoTs, goes a long way in terms of how you're treated in return. The staff gets a half hour lunch? Seems fair. Your doctor's office didn't send the script yet? That's definitely frustrating, but it isn't the fault of the pharmacy. Your medication needs prior authorization? Definitely a headache, but not something the pharmacist can change or expedite. The guy whining that he had to wait for his child's antibiotic to be made up fresh? Gee, how unreasonable that they ensured your child's medication was made properly while you waited a few minutes. I'm sure they couldn't just take the guy's word that his wife sent a prescription... there is probably a protocol they have to follow to find the incoming prescriptions. I think that reviewer may have mistaken the pharmacy for a fast food drive through- and those employees also deserve patience and respect. ;-)

i arrived after my wife, a physician, had called in amoxicillin in the morning …the receptionist told me twice that there was no record of the script. i asked a third time, to check the messages, and after some discussion only then between what i assume was the pharmacist and the receptionist, the record of the call was found. she then told me i would need to wait 15 minutes since they just found the script. Was not treated kindly for some reason either despite this error on their end. We had to relocate from a different rite aid where the pharmacists and staff were top notch. ill continue to search for a replacement.

Pharmacist was kind and patient, did everything she could to help us and keep my kiddos comfy during their immunization. Pharmacy tech was also incredibly helpful, kind, and patient in assisting with an insurance mix up. Wonderful staff throughout the store.

The pharmacist, Ang, at Rite Aid on 4957 Carlisle Pike went above and beyond the call of duty to help me figure out my Mom's diabetes testing device. The broken one was outdated, but Ang made sure the last one they had in stock worked with the lancets.Thank you again, Ang, for all your care and compassion in figuring this out. Having a senior parent is hard enough but to have someone on your side like Ang made me not feel so alone!

This review is for the pharmacy only. I had a 3:30 appointment for the PCR testing. I arrived at 3:20 pm at the drive-through. However, there were written signs on both windows at the drive through, indicating that it was closed. So I went inside per instruction and waited in line at the pharmacy counter. There were 5 people in front of me. There was only 1 pharmacist and 1 nurse (?) who was administering shots. The pharmacy was obviously very behind in filling prescriptions. I overheard the conversation when the man in front of me was getting his turn. He submitted his prescription in the morning but was just now told it's not ready (almost 4pm). That he had to either wait for an hour or come back later. He said he'd wait. The pharmacist wasn't amused. He repeated in a rather rude tone that the medicine wouldn't be ready for anther hour and effectively asked the man to leave. I'd be very mad if I were that man.Anyway, it was finally my turn after waiting in line for 10-15 minutes. I told him I have an appointment for the PCR test. He denied me immediately, saying I shouldn't be inside for the COVID tests. I don't disagree but I had no choice, I was wearing double masks btw. He told me to go to the drive through. I reminded him that the drive through was closed. He said to go there and ring the bell. I wasn't thrilled to be given the run around but I duly went back out to the drive-through.I rang the bell, he answered and told me to wait because he had a lot of people in line. Of course, I was just in there and I knew there was a constant line. 10 minutes past. I rang the bell again. He reminded me that he's very busy. I told him that I had to pick up my son from school. He asked me to be patient. Finally another 5 minutes later, the "nurse" serviced my appointment. However, it was another good 10 minutes of waiting for the paper work! I don't understand -- if I had made the appointment online, included all my information and insurance details, why would it take 10 minutes to get ready to hand me the PCR test kit?! It took me less than 1 minutes to collect the sample once I was given the swab and the vial.By the time was I done, it was 4:10pm. I wasted a whopping 50 minutes of my life in frustration, and I was late to pick up my son. I know it was because this pharmacy wasn't staffed properly, but that's exactly the reason you should absolutely avoid this location. I would suggest CVS inside Target, or the CVS by the high school. I've always had good experience there.

Never answer the phone. Slow as hell and very rude staff. Especially the guy with the multicolor hair. He always has an attitude problem. My dr sent in my pain meds and I can't get ahold of anyone to ask when they'd be ready. And I desperately need them. They need to step up their game!! Tonight I went to pick up an antibiotic and they tried to charge me full price. Knowing damn well I have insurance. The girl running the drive thru is an idiot and doesn't need to be working with medication. She can barely work the drive thru as it is and ur gonna trust her to count meds?! I think I'll switch to Giant instead.

Very poorly managed. Prescription not ready when told there are. Will not wait on drivethru customers. Sat at drive thru for over 20 minutes seen no one in pharmacy. Then walkin customers came on and then they wait on them and finally waited on me because i seen them. The closed the wrong riteaid.

I understand short staffed, but this is the worst rite aide ever! Script never ready on time, they close the drive thru even when the store isnt busy! I just had knee replacement surgery and they literally refused to come to the window! Transfer your scripts across the street! Way less hassle!

Called in Rx for refill 4hrs before closing, making sure it was in stock as it was unavailable at another Rite Aid so following the advice to call another store to ensure it was available I was told I would receive a txt when available. Yep, 12 minute's before they closed for the whole holiday weekend. So now I'm without my medication for the whole weekend recovering from pneumonia. Thanks for taking care of your customers.

I don’t use the RiteAid pharmacy so I can not speak to their levels of service. I use this store for convenience to purchase cards and over the counter medication as it is 2 minutes from my home. The store is clean and associates are okay. They’re not overly helpful or friendly- they’re just there but I don’t care I don’t typically need help. My main reason for a 1 star review are their dishonest practices of rounding up my purchases to the nearest dollar. I have NEVER consented to donating my money on any platform within RiteAid’s app, with an associate or on the payment pads. EVERY time I visit the store my purchase is rounded up. I’m supposed to just accept this as it’s “only a few cents” but I was never asked. The few cents ARE NOT taxes as my last purchase did not require any sales tax. I asked for my receipt and the line item stated “kidcents” which is one of their partner charities. Be aware of these dishonest practices when visiting any RiteAid location.

Pharmacy is awful. Unpredictable changes of hours make it extremely difficult to pick up medication. Now they just close on random days with no notice. I agree with all of the other reviews regarding the professionalism of staff...there is none. Extremely rude and make you feel like you’re bothering them to fill your medication. Not to mention it takes hours to get your medicine filled. 1 script called in two days ago, still has not been filled. Totally unreliable. Switching pharmacy’s.

Worst pharmacy in the area, avoid if you want your prescriptions on-time. The drive through seems to be permanently closed, and staff complains of a two-week backlog. Reached out to Rite Aid customer service several times with no resolution, and the Pharmacy District Manager does not return calls. Zero accountability within this failing company. Adios Rite Aid!

Wanted to thank the blonde lady who helped me fill my prescription faster after telling her I have appt in 20 mins. The guy with the blue hair though— HORRIBLE. That guy shouldn’t be working in customer service. He just gave me an attitude and yelled at me to go sit and wait. I’ve never been treated like that by a pharmacist before. Very rude and unprofessional. Funny enough I’m not the only one complaining about him. Rite aid if you want good business, you need better employees, not entitled people who can’t do their job professionally.

Visited this store this morning. I bought a bag of mint twist. They have a horrible taste to them once you put one in your mouth. You don’t even taste the the peppermint. They taste like dirt. Shame on you rite aid brand mints for tasting like this. I would not recommend. Overall it’s a nice store

I agree with a few other reviews in regards to how rude the pharmacy workers can be. They certainly are not customer service friendly. We have a 13 year old cat for which we had liver shunt surgery performed on by UPenn 12 years ago. He has been on Keppra and Lactulose since his surgery and will be throughout the rest of his life. During these 12 years, we continue to have issues filling his Keppra even after his doctor has called to request it to be filled. This is a cat, not a human and there is no insurance company to work with nor is it a controlled substance. We have never had issues with his Lactulose, just Keppra. We always start early to get the refill as we know we will have issues. We started on 8/1/22 by prompting Rite Aid to contact the doctor since there were no refills remaining. One week later on 8/8/22 , I called Rite Aid to see if the doctor had approved it and they said they did not hear from the doctor. I called the doctor to find out that they did approve the refill to Rite Aid, but said they would call Rite Aid again. Today...8/16/22, I call Rite Aid to see if they received the approval from the doctor, to immediately hear, "you should have 4 days left". We do on the prior prescription but so what...the doctor told you to fill this, so fill it. Prescriptions are allowed to be filled 1 week prior, but I guess Rite Aid does not operate that way. If this was Rite Aid's issue 2 weeks ago, why didn't someone tell me this? Why didn't they say anything when I called a week ago? Why did they ignore both requests from the doctor and not communicate anything to us? Pharmacist are not doctors and they don't go to medical school. They dispense what the doctor tells them to. 12 years of the same terrible communication and snappy attitudes from them has taken their toll on us. Shame on us for not looking elsewhere sooner.

We needed an anti-convulsant med for our cat that I had already gotten a fill for before. Placed the request for the refill yesterday. It said it would be ready by 1pm the next day. Anytime the pharmacy doesn’t have my refill they give me a call and offer to transfer it to a different location for me. The line was super long when we went in - the person in front of us waited 40 minutes past their vaccine appointment and ended up canceling for their kids appointment because it was taking so long. The three people who needed refills in front of us didn’t get what they needed either because they didn’t have enough, didn’t have it at all, or didn’t have the refill ready still. The person behind us said they had been trying to get their refill for over 3 days and every time they didn’t have it still. I’ve noticed that this has been closed earlier than the stated hours, but other people in line said it happens a lot. The tech told me that they didn’t have our prescription even available and that hopefully they would have it tomorrow. I’m glad that I called the refill in early, because missing even a dose of phenobarbital could cause our cat to go into status epilepticus. I’ve already called the vet to get a new prescription to allow us to switch to CVS because even though it only happened to us once, everybody else in line had something similar to say.

What? A pharmacy open late, the drive thru is open and there are people there to help? This really threw me back to pre March 2020 times.I was having issues with my surrounding Rite Aid locations. I called this one and my call was PICKED UP by a lovely person on the other end, LAURIE. She answered all my questions and made sure I was going to get a text when my order was ready. Not even 10 minutes later, I got my text, paid online and met Laurie at the drive thru.I wish more people who work at Rite Aid were like LAURIE. Thank you for being you!

I gave them an hour to fill a script, three pharmacy techs working and still had to wait. Didn’t even get a liquid syringe for the meds. Everyone there has zero people skills and looks like a zombie. They are randomly closed so make sure you call before you go because there’s a good chance they will close before 6 without any warning or google hours update.

Do not go to this pharmacy, overweight pharmislct is a total Karen, they look for reasons not to help patients, refused a two day emergency supply of blood pressure medication just for no reason, most pharmacists are reasonable, this lady a total Karen for no reason, it's sad.UPDATE - went down street to another rite aid, pharmacist told me Karen at Rite Aid lied, you don't need approval from doctor for emergency refill, and how dangerous it is for any reason to not do an emergency refill for blood pressure medication, really a horrible person

I have spoken to many pharmacies recently because my medication was out of stock. He resolved it within minutesThank you Rite Aid Pharmacy Tech! <3

I don’t usually write reviews but the gentleman in the pharmacy, I believe his name is Danny (tall blonde with a purple color) went above and beyond to help us tonight and deserves a multitude of praise! We went to pick up a prescription that was normally $50, our insurance changed and now the cost is $305!! Danny called the insurance company to find out why the huge jump and tried to help there with no luck. I found a manufacturer coupon and he called and called the manufacturer company to push it through for us (apparently the manufacturer was having technical problems processing on their end). He spent so much time trying to help us out. He didn’t have to, but he did. It’s hard to find people that will go above and beyond for a customer. Thank you Danny!!!

Use to be very good however now you’re lucky to get prescriptions filled in 5-10days. I can’t stress enough if you’re in need of medicine DO NOT have them sent here!! You will be waiting a long time and not have communications!!

Poor customer service! For second time today. I arrived when they told me a prescription would be ready for pickup, but was forced to wait in the store for over an hour with a handful of other unhappy customers waiting for prescriptions they can’t seem to get ready. If u need a medication for a sick child and can’t wait all day, try to go somewhere else.
