I have brought my Shih Tzu puppy there about every 8 weeks since the week I got her. The first visit was the only good cut she actually received. This most recent visit had me in tears. I will say that I brought her in with her body already shaved at 7mm (she got into something it needed done) but her head and tail were still long and fluffy. I asked to keep as much length to her tail as possible just a tiny trim for maintenance. And same with her ears(she did have some matting forming on the end of her ear which I said they could cut that part out if they were unable to de-mat it. She’s a curly hair shihtzu so I understand it can be a bit challenging) When they brought her out she was choppy shaved from head to tail EXCEPT for a small poof on the tip of her tail. I flat out told the woman who gave her to me that my puppy looks hideous and all she did was laugh and say she was going to tell the groomer I said that. I ended up canceling her recurring appointments and am actively seeking a new groomer. The biggest positive about the grooming department is that they truly are all so sweet kind people, it just seems that even with photo references and verbal detailed instructions on what is wanted they kinda do whatever they want. I added the reference picture I showed them for her face/ears as well.

Spent 10 minutes discussing length, desired outcome, felt comfortable leaving her in the care of Petco.Returned to find that the detailed discussion was irrelevant and the outcome was the exact opposite of what I requested, so much so I could barely recognize my little girl.Will not be returning for grooming services in the future and do not recommend.

Caitlin is the best. Very friendly..great customer service skills. Awesome groomer. My dog will only allow her to pick him up and groom him. Glad we found caitlin

Took my senior golden retriever here after he went to a dog boarding place and got severe anxiety and had an accident. They were so sweet here with him and made sure to give him a thorough bath and got the smell out. Thanks for taking care of my furbaby!

kaitlyn is amazing at what she does! i took my black lab for a bath, nail trim, ear clean, and teeth brushing and it was done well and fast! she even gave maintenance tips and was so good with my fur baby!!

The staff is friendly both to me and my pet. My dog is anxious, and they have worked with her to the point she gets excited about going there. Jen has been terrific with her, and the manager of the grooming department is phenomenal in the scope of knowledge and caring she shows with our beloved pets.

Ruger LOVES his groomers, usually Joey sometimes Emma. They do an amazing job with him. He's a rottweiler so some people are hesitant to work with him. We are so appreciative that Petco didn't judge him by his breed.

The whole staff is very friendly, helpful, attentive, and over all.else. they are very caring. The girls have helped my dog get better with things like noises, like the dremel.

McKenna is awesome with Zoe. She is very detailed about what is going on with Zoe. Listens to my concerns about her. She calls and reminds me it's time for Zoe's bath and grooming.

THE QUALITY OF THE GROOMING WAS BELOW SATISFACTORY, NOT AT ALL LIKE THE QUALITY I EXPERIENCED THE FIRST TIME. I WAS SURE A TRAINEE MUST OF CUT HER THE SECOND TIME. I ENCOUNTERED HOT SPOTS, DIPS AND UNEQUAL LENGTH WHERE THERE SHOULD OF BEEN A CONSISTENT LENGTH UNEVEN BLENDING 'AIREDALE TERRIER' STANDARD GROOMING. THE ONLY WAY TO ATTEMPT TO CORRECT WOULD BE TO GIVE MY GIRL A CREWCUT! THIS VISIT COST ME A 100.00 !!! . I'M WILLING TO PAY FOR A BATH CONDITIONER AND NAIL TRIM, I WILL NOT HONOR A CHARGE FOR ANY OF THE GROOMING- CUT, BRUSH, SHAVE, ETC. VERY UNSATISIFIED WILL NOT USE THIS ASPECT OF PETCO AGAIN
