I’ve been bringing my cars to pep boys for a few years now, and I am beyond happy with the service I’ve gotten. One of the mechanics even owns the same exact BMW as I do so I am 100% positive it is being taken care of the right way (better than I could). I always appreciate this pep boys for getting me scheduled quickly and getting the job done correctly. Always will recommend 👍🏻

This Pep Boys is great. I have taken several vehicles in for different things from oil changes to various repairs and they always do a great job. In fact, they are so efficient, that despite a busy schedule, I will often wait knowing that the work will be done quickly. Pricing is standardized for standard services, and if there is something unusual, they tell you. I’m a devoted customer. Isaac the service manager is a great guy to talk to. Very helpful and dedicated to getting the job done right.

HORRIBLE. I believed I needed a battery replacement, however after paying for a new battery, I experienced the same issues less than 2 weeks later. When AAA jump started my car, their test indicated a dead cell on the new battery. When I brought it back to the shop expecting it to be covered under warranty, the person, Nicole, advised me that I needed a new alternator and insisted that the battery was fine. I took my vehicle to a dealership and another auto body shop that agreed the battery was defective. Despite showing Nicole documentation that the battery was no good, she refused to honor the warranty. I asked to speak to a manager *who was out of the office that day.* Nicole was able to get a hold of the manager, Chris, who refused to speak to me to override their POS system, even though I took a day off of work to get this issue resolved, and he had Nicole tell me to return the next day. I could not return the next day because I could not take off another day of work. I had this "service" done at the Mechanicsburg, PA location on Carlisle Pike, I would urge anyone to avoid going there for any reason. They are unprofessional and unhelpful. I would love to speak with someone from the corporate team to have this issue resolved.

Made an online appointment which was super easy. Marie was very nice to work with. She kept me informed of all the needed repairs to my vehicle. Prices are reasonable. I will be back in the future and recommend all to use their services.

Scheduling online was easy and had to wait about 3hrs to have tires installed. After the installation, I just realized after going home that there were few paint chips on my right door. Not sure how a simple 4 tire installation ends up as an unhappy experience.

I ordered tires and scheduled the install online. I dropped the vehicle off the evening before, the women at the counter was very friendly and helpful. The next day the tires were installed quickly and balanced well. The gentleman that checked me out was quick. All in all, everything was super smooth and efficient. I would definitely recommend them after the service and the pricing.

As much as there are negative reviews out there, or misinformation, I'll keep it to my own experience here at this location with my 5 star review. I had ordered 4 new tires, and not only was it a quick appointment scheduled, but expert service to match. Prices are on point, and other than a hiccup with the tire pressure monitoring system, I have a nice smooth ride! Thanks to Scott and the staff @ the Carlisle pike Mechanicsburg location, I will keep my service needs in mind if I ever need to visit here again as they go the extra mile 👍🏻

Was told to bring my vehicle in Friday around 4pm for inspection and we offered to just pick it up the next morning and were told that was fine it would be ready. Tried calling Saturday morning to be sure it was ready because online was showing it wasn’t even started. Got put on hold for 20 minutes and eventually hung up. Went in at 1pm and it hadn’t even been started when we were told it would be done Friday night. They said it was next in line. Called back around 330 and it was still not started, finally after getting a call that it needed 2 new tires to pass it was finished 4 minutes before closing so we couldn’t pick it up until Sunday. Truly poor customer service, kept being given excuse after excuse of how busy it was and how many cars were being worked on. If you tell a customer their vehicle will be ready for pickup by opening the next morning and you can’t stick to that, that vehicle should be the FIRST one worked on in the morning, not sitting until almost 4pm. If you don’t have the staff to handle the appointments, then stop taking on more appointments. Seems like this is the new norm with this Pep Boys based on other reviews. To add, when we picked up and asked what kind of discount could be provided, we were told it wasn’t possible, funny how I got offered a coupon after filling out a survey though.

My experience was wonderful. Made an appointment and they stuck to it. Estimated me $1000 and then found a way to get the work that needed to be done cheaper by $400. I am extremely grateful to the manager there. He was friendly and found a way to save me money. I would highly recommend going to Pep Boys!

Worst experience ever, was supposed to get an inspection as well. I was told SORRY, no technician today. The price of the tire was different than on their website, I was told SORRY, that price is what the price is with the free tire figured in. I asked them to put the best used tire on the empty rim, I was told SORRY, the tread wasn’t good enough. Yes, this was very SORRY service. But at least they did get the new tires on the rims and car. That is solely why they get two stars.

This company has cost me for the last time. I was.told by many mechanics not to take my cars to this company. Unfortunately, I have no alternative sometimes in some difficult situations but to bring the issues to the nearest and opened garage. Just said, there's nothing that was reputable that I could have used. Pep Boys should be overhualed to prevent what happened to happen to other people.

Went it for a flat Was told my side wall was blown out and I need a new tire, went back and the tire was never taken off the car, sidewall ended up being fine then they could not patch it bc the screw was to close to the sidewall in was 3.2 inches away I took it across the street and it was patched in 20min, I have years of mechanical knowledge and would avoid this place at all cost , “colt” was the kid that knew absolutely nothing about vehicles. Just wants to sell tires

Buyers beware. These technicians will rush through their work and give your car back in a unsafe condition. In my case, one of my new tires was not fully installed and risked blowing off my wheel. At least 4 inches of the bead was not set and the shop refused to fix their mistake. I hadn't even left their parking lot after I got my car back and found the mistake. Immediately I knocked on their window and got the advisor's attention. She basically told me I had to do the repair myself as they were closing for the evening. The doors were already locked not even 5 minutes after I paid. I had to do the repair myself. Total B's in my book and I will not be returning to Pep Boys on Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg Pa.

Horrible!! Misleading!! Never go!!!!I recently moved to PA and did my state inspection in their Mechanicsburg service center. I took an online appointment for friday 4.30 and when I showed up at their service center, they told me that their technician will leave at 5 and they can't do it. I don't know why it allowed me to take an appointment at first place. They then told me that they can do it on Sunday and I went there on Sunday. After waiting 2 hours they told me that they need to fix emission gasket and parking break and I need to leave the vehicle there and they will be calling me Monday morning with the details. Nobody called me on Monday, I called them in the afternoon, sombody picked up and told me that they will call me back with details, again no calls received, I called them again, this time sombody told me that they are working on the vehicle and they will call me once it is done. No calls on Tuesday, I called them in the afternoon they told me everything is done and I can pick up the car.Here is the worst part,I went to pick up, they gave me a bill, I paid it. I specifically asked to the guy at the service center is everything done, is my inspection complete, I am new to PA, should I know anything else about the inspection? He told me that I am all good and everything is complete. Next day luckily my friend pointed me out that you need two stickers on the windshield and there is only one. ooops!.. I called them and now they are telling me that my break is not fixed because they don't have the parts! I need to get it done somewhere else ! So they charged me for doing inspection, kept my car for 3 days to just change an emission gasket and finally misled me saying that the inspection is complete.. I would have ended up in much big trouble if I had believed them and expire my 10 days window to do the state inspection..Finally I drove to their service center today to talk to a supervisor to sort this out... and their reply was ... supervisor is busy tody, come tomorrow (so rude after doing all this to me). I wanted everyone else to know about this so that you are not ending up in similar situation.

Extremely disappointed. I have called there customer service for checking about oil change service to know whether it’s a walk in or appointment based he said it would be better if we go by appointment and I followed his advice and booked my appointment for oil change service but when I went there for my service no body is present at their except a person at counter when I told him about my appointment he said we are not receiving any message or email alerts when someone book their service and he said we can reschedule it. What kind of service is it if the service is not available they shouldn’t accept my appointment request.

First, I was given the incorrect price. Second, I was over charged for a product that I did not received. Third, they never call to tell me my car was ready and it stood there for 24 hours when they promise to give it back on the same day. Next, all they can do it’s give me the difference or change the tires to ones we payed for but that’s another inconvenience because we will have to drop off the car again. That’s more time and gas and inconvenience and hopefully my suvs doesn’t get damage for complaining.

Got my front exhaust y pipe replaced here 2 years ago. 1.5 years later it needs replaced already. And for extra fun, someone in their shop WELDED the nuts back on to the diaphragm. I’d give them negative 10 stars if I could. Stay as far away as possible from this place!!

I’ve been coming here for good tire service for over a year now. Needed a headlight changed on the spot and I was looking to get my two front tires replaced down the road and they were able to fit all of it in for me in one day since they had an opening! The person on the phone was very helpful and the front desk employee Issac was more than helpful to us as well! Got us a Lyft to our house while we waited since we were in a tough spot! Check it out for your car needs and the helpful service! 🤙🏼🙌🏼

Extremely inconsiderate of customers. My husband had talked to them earlier in the morning, so I went in later and showed them the picture of the tires that my husband had discussed with them and ordered. The guy at the counter said he had no idea what I was talking about and when I asked my husband on the phone who he talked to this morning, the man literally laughed in my face and asked me to step aside so he could wait on other customers. Very disrespectful and not even in the slightest willing to help the customer. We will never be coming here again.

Worst experience, ended up damaging my car. I had my car towed to this pep boys location because my battery was draining and not charging any more. I was told to buy a new battery and I paid 180$ for it to be replaced . They also tested my alternator and said there is nothing wrong with it . What they forget to mention before I left was that when they put back my alternator back they overtorqued the bottom screw and cracked the air pump/alternator bracket. 10 min into my drive I started hearing a very loud noise from the Engine and started feeling very strong vibrations. I stopped at the side of the interstate and was amazed to find the entire Alternator cracked and the lower bracket broken. Also from the Vibration a screw from the airpump was now missing . I had to pay 250$ to tow the car back home because I refuse to go back to this pep boys. On top of that they charged me for a voltage regulator that is already installed inside the alternator . And they try to charge me an additional hour of work to replace it... The woman who helped me has no idea what she is doing ... I will try to call 1800 pep boys to file a formal complaint and see if there is a way to get any of my parts replaced. They completely destroyed my car. And I am spending money on a rental car for work as of now

Pep Boys is just a mess and has went downhill to point where they should do their remaining customers a favor and go out of business. The store employees try but the stores are a mess, under staffed, and using a computer system that is 30 years old. Pep Boys was once a great place now its management is just trying to milk the last penny out of a failing business. Don’t go there.

To start off the day we stopped in to make appointment the guy could give 2 cents for us being there I should have knew at that point just stay away

I’m not sure I can say enough bad things about my experience today. I made an appointment in advance for an inspection and an oil change. My appointment was at 9:30 am. I dropped my car off about an hour early and confirmed my appointment and was told I would get a call when it was finished. When I hadn’t received a call by 1pm I called in to check. After being on a long hold I was told my car wasn’t ready and in fact there were 3 cars ahead of it. I explained that must not be the case because I arrived on time for my appointment that was 3.5 hours ago. They said they would try to “bump it up”. For 4 more hours I didn’t hear a thing until I got a call that my car would be failing inspection due to cosmetic damage. That’s fine at this point I just wanted my car back. I went to pick up my vehicle and was told i didn’t have a bill. When I explained I was sure I needed to pay for my oil change they informed me they “didn’t get around to it”. My car sat at this place for 8.5 HOURS today with an appointment and they couldn’t manage to change my oil!! So here’s your warning - don’t waste your time making an appointment at this place it’s a complete joke.
