Very helpful and polite staff. They also have tools that no other brick and mortar I know of carries. Things like Bondhus, Knipex, and SK. Actual professional grade tools that Lowes and Home Depot do not carry in store. I've been looking for a set of Bondhus Hexpro wrenches for a while and this is the only place I've ever seen them in person.Prices are perhaps a bit high across the board, but maybe excellent service and selection make up for that.

Always a pleasure visiting PaulB's! They have friendliest staff I've seen in a long time, quality products at reasonable prices, plus free coffee for customers. I just had my lawn mower serviced at the Mechanicsburg store. Not only did they get it in tip-top shape for the coming spring, but cleaned it immaculately. This old mower looks like new! Friendly and helpful staff! Shout out to Rory for helping me today with a Moen replacement cartridge. PaulB did not have what I needed, so Rory called Fager's in Camp Hill to see if they had the part--which they did! If PaulB doesn't have the item you need, they will help you find it elsewhere. Now, that's customer service! Thank you Rory!

WARNING: DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING THERE TO BE REPAIRED!! They dismantle it, tell you it will cost 3x more than buying a new one, (really? $90/hr labor? thieves!), if you don't get it fixed, they give it back to you, DISMANTLED, in a box (claiming "Liability"), and that's it! NEVER experienced this! ALL I WANTED WAS A TUNEUP!! Must be what they expect in Lancaster, but that won't fly here! I might go in for hardware, but never again for service! Gave them a try, 2x, but it's no wonder my dad always took his up to Shippensburg to get fixed. Might be a drive, but you will get honest service! 2 Thumbs down!!

Shout out to Carl! As soon as I walked into the store he greeted me and asked if I'd like some help finding what I was looking for. He walked me directly to what I needed and proceeded to walk me through the options and answer my questions. He saved me so much time and was very kind and helpful! Paul B’s in mechanicsburg is our FAVORITE place to go for home projects. They always have everything we need, plus the learning lessons and tips from the staff are always an added bonus. Every time we walk in the door, we are greeted, asked if we can be helped, and then guided to the right department/employee for whatever we need. Not only do the “Paul B dads and grandpas,” as we call them, give us tips for our projects, they take the time to offer better options, lessons, instructions and similar resources to try. We never leave without exactly what we need. We never leave stressed or as if we don’t know what we’re doing. It’s the BEST! ❤️

Had a very bad experience at our usual building supply store and thought we’d try this place out. We were greeted by a very nice gentleman name Don when we entered the store. He asked if we needed any help. We told him we were looking for stove pipe. He took us back to the area and proceed to help us piece together a new stove pipe for us. There was not enough of the correct pieces in plain black so he helped us get galvanized to fill in. He was funny, helpful and as confused as us at times as to why they didn’t have all the same pieces in what we wanted. But we managed to get one put together and we thanked him profusely for the time he spent with us. We wondered around the store checking it out and seeing that this was going to be our new go to place for our house jobs. From name brand tools to all the little things you need for home fixings. As we looked around we noticed that just about every person working in the store was helping someone. Picking out tools, finding things or offering advise. As we were headed to the register Don comes to us with another piece of pipe. He said he thought we might need this one too? And if we didn’t just bring it back for a refund. 30 years I have worked in retail management, and folks this is how customer service is done. Joe at the register checked us and was just as friendly. We got home and put the pipe together and wouldn’t you know it, we did need that piece of pipe! You have earned some new customers and we will put the word out about just how good you are. Thank you!

I normally do not leave reviews anywhere. PaulB was incredible. I had a gentleman named Brian that helped me out who could not have been more helpful. I had to get my stihl compo repaired, he helped me on the spot as it was an easy fix.

First time being in this hardware store and it was great! Huge variety of hardware from screws, nuts, nails, power tools, lots of casters, and more! I like the fact that if I am doing a small project I can get a couple screws needed instead of buying a whole box. There was so much to see. I will definitely be checking there before I would go to Lowe's since it's closer and has a better variety of items to choose from. It's a family owned business too, which is a plus.

Great prices, great friendly staff, great amount of name brand tools and accessories plus fasteners galore. Hardware superstore. Only down fall is a limited amount of lumber on hand. Basic 1x material and some craft size plywood pieces. They make up for that with all the other stuff they offer! They have now started carrying the Milwaukee MX Fuel line of tools and have expanded there farm machinery area, hoses pressure washing units, snow blowers, generators. Just a great all around hardware with competitive pricing to larger box stores. However, you get personalized staff ready to help you find what you are looking for.

I have been a very Loyal Home Depot customer for years. With that said, My fist visit to PaulB has changed my opinion on the Box store I have frequented for years. If you are looking for a "go to place" for any kind of home project look no further. I intend to be frequenting PaulB for many years to come. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff along with the sheer volume of hardware make it a great go to for anyone who likes to DIY.

Not a hardware store for everyone. You will not find a large selection of lumber, appliances or outdoor patio/home living goods. More focused on business/farm needs. Great selection of drill bits and other consumables used in a shop. Good selection of professional and pro-sumer power tools.

The professionalism, politeness and effective communicatio I received at service area was beyond compare. Although, my product ( an electric edger mower) was not one of their servicable products, the gracious employee found the simple fix and aided me. He would not take a tip , nor did he charge me-- his respectable and humble response was, " When you get a chance, just pass along a good deed". Truly a gentleman in this day and age. They have earned a loyal customer.

This will be my go to place for any hardware & outdoor needs. Definitely like to give my money to a local store where SERVICE actually matters. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The selection of power tools is second to none in the area! Prices are pretty good as well. So glad the Mechanicsburg location is open, now I don't have to drive so far!

Just found out about this place... Wow, they're a super hardware store that has absolutely everything!! They had a lot of speciality stuff that I couldn't find anywhere else (like these giant washers) this is my first stop from now on!!

The next level up for the serious worker/handyman/do it yourselfer. Lowe's, Home Depot no comparison as far as hardware and specialty items. Regular prices are really not discounted at all though- so you're paying straight up retail in most cases. They do have a sales flyer but the sales today really didn'texcite me. I'll be back for specialty stuff.

Me and my grandpa went there for some stuff for his Chevelle and we were having some trouble, so staff helped us and service was excellent! They also have a lot of great stuff cheaper than other hardware stores! Defently recommend!

If a 'destination' hardware store exists, this is it. Specialty items in diverse andunexpected areas. Parts, tools, and accessories for carpentry, mechanical, plumbing, fabrication, repair and tinkering. Worth a visit, especially if you aren't sure what you need.
