Open until 10 pm, but left entrance closes at 8 pm. Well lite.Had to let employees by Customer Service that I do not do self checkout. They did come over & check me out.Retailers need to know I am not free labor!

I have been going to Giant more often and I don't usually check but lately I have been checking there is TONS of expired items on the shelves of mostly normal things I usually buy bread cans ect..everytime I pick it up its expired! It was never like this before I love this Giants because it's 3 mins away from my apartment..

Poorly stocked on anticipated sales e.g corned beef sold out not happy that this happened 2 days before. Especially when ads for special posted 3 days prior

Has a slightly smaller selection than other Giants in the area (Carlisle Pike, Enola, and Cumberland Parkway for example). Pharmacy staff can be snarky at times and had an attitude because they apparently didn't have correct insurance on file and had to change either name brand or generic meds.

Meredith in customer service is outstanding! Not to mention this is the first Giant Food Store that I had the Hocus Pocus cereal IN STOCK! Our Cashier Mary, was quite wonderful too! What a pleasant shopping experience ❤

2.5 stars at best. Just another over priced grocery store putting mom and pop shops out of business. Its whatever, I get it. I just don't get it. Stores used to care about presentation, straight rows of product, all labels turned forward, full faced shelves. It was way better back in the day. Corporate ruined it all. I do like the addition of Marty, for on the go security cams and for the fun factor. My girls have a great time finding him and we dont get to leave till we do. 😂🤣 Still the same old dump

Our local Giant on Simpson Street in Mechanicsburg borough. We don't exclusively shop there for groceries, but keep an eye on their specials in their weekly circular. Good place to pick up a sandwich or a fresh salad for lunch or pre-prepared meals for weeknight dinners. Going early in the morning, before 9.00 AM, helps avoid the crowds. However, at that time the meat and seafood cases are still being stocked and everything might not be available. Beef can also be expensive, but pork can be had on special for a reasonable price. A good daily deal is day-old baked goods and bread, usually at least half off.Store has been renovated inside with enhanced signage, a new paint job and increased assortment. Amazing that it coincided with the opening of a Grocery Outlet store up the road!!

Anita in the Giant direct department deserves every star. She’s amazing! So sweet and kind and always helpful - I don’t love the lockers because it’s a little bit more work than using drive up, but I will continue to use this location because of her service. She’s wonderful!Docked a star because the rest of the staff is not as friendly. I find the set up of this store also a bit confusing. Otherwise, a great experience to shop here!

I love how close this is to downtown Mechanicsburg but the provided bicycle rack is insufficient. One U-lock has been stuck on it for months. Every time I visit I notice lots of other cyclists shop here too, but there should really be an upgraded spot to park and lock them.

This store recently got a remodel. It is clean and easy to navigate. They now also have Giant Direct out of this store. They have many self checkout stations available including some with belts if the store is busy. Overall I don't mind shopping here.

This giant is often out of the most normal things and offers a much smaller selection of the things it does carry. Traffic in and out, depending on the time of day, can be a nightmare. If you can take the extra few minutes to drive to a different giant, I recommend it.

I haven’t been to any other Giant store in a while so I can’t say if the problems that I am going to describe are the result of company-wide store policy, or if only this particular location struggles with mismanagement.If you go too early in the day: no cashiers available, use self-service. Too late in the evening: no cashiers available, use self-service. Busy mid-afternoon: one solitary cashier handling every customer that does not wish to, or is physically incapable of, using self check-out.I am not exaggerating when I say that not even a single standard lane is serviced by staff during the early or late hours, and management during both time periods have confirmed to me that this is an intentional choice and uninfluenced by staffing issues.It is also worth noting that during the daytime hours in which they choose to have a member of staff assigned to a register, only sometimes is the register being used a lane that is designed to be wheelchair accessible.During any time of day there will always be a minimum of three staff members chatting casually at the customer service counter. Apparently they exist only to ease along any issues for customers in the self-checkout lanes; customers that were offered little or no choice but to use them.For myself personally, this is merely an irritating inconvenience during times that I have a large shop. That said, I am young, healthy, and not limited in my physical abilities.Many elderly people or individuals with disabilities are forced to choose between the additional physical exertion of the self-checkout process, or instead being obligated to ask staff for treatment that is outside of standard procedure.The entire reason that “handicapped accommodations” exist is to limit situations in which a person must request special assistance from others. The check-out processes of this store are being managed in a way that saves the company money at the detriment of the consumer, period.This may be a concern that should be given media attention. To a person with disabilities, this limitation of options may not only be demeaning, but might even be considered a potential safety concern.

I don't like when they don't have hardly any checkers or cashiers.i still go to Giant but I frequent Karns for the more personal service now. But Giant has good selections. Can't complain too harshly when somebody is selling food and still discounting some of it. I'm thankful for the food we have because globally there are people who do without. Of all the stores that I address. I like the ones that sell food best. debbie

I enjoy the Giant stores around Harrisburg. They are usually great quality and this one is no different. Yeah it's a big box store, but I know that when I walk in. So I have different expectations than if I went to a smaller more boutique store. For the expectations I have with bigger stores like this, Giant does well for me and I'm happy about it.

This Giant store is absolutely awful!! I went to buy knock wurst. I found 3 packages. All were dated November 29th. Today is December 10th. I took all 3 packages to customer service. I put them on the counter & told the woman behind the desk they were all expired. She said “Ok.” Nothing else. No thank you. No nothing. Thank God I am moving out of the area soon and will never have to go there again. Compared to every other Giant I’ve been to, this store is nauseating. It’s messy and the last place you actually want to get food from. Disgusting!!! And the staff & management clearly don’t care. Check all dates on anything you are buying.

How nice was this visit? It was great everyone I asked questions to was very nice whether they were store employees or other shoppers. The aisles are very clean and shelves are well stocked. There's never a long line to check out because cashiers are waiting to service you. My kind of place. Makes for a very efficient and enjoyable shopping event.

the store was clean and easy to navigate. everything was great. checked out in the self checkout and wished the employee overlooking the self checkout a good night. was ignored as she was indulging in a scratch off ticket. tried to say bye again but she must not have heard me. too busy. anyway overall a good experience. I hope she won big time.

I hardly ever gives reviews so i hope someone she some how gets to see this. Cashier Elvira is outstanding!!! She is very hardworking and caring. I purposly go in her lane when i come to this giant ❤️❤️

What I don't understand about this establishment is seriously how hard is it to say HI how are ya when you see a Customer. I guess grocery is a necessity so no one cares. In my 3 years going to this establishment I ve never had an experience that made me feel good giving them My money. It's kind of sad

Neat and clean, organized. They had wipes at the entrance for the carts. The location itself seemed less crowded than other branches. This one is also much smaller - so the aisles were differently organized. Their meat and fish section seemed smaller and had less variety. Overall checkout was much faster because of less crowds. Good customer service. Needed help finding stuff and they guided well.

I was at this very store 2 nights ago to do my weekly shopping and not one single register was open. It was around 9 o'clock I was forced to go through a self check out register and as I was scanning my things and bagging them up a very young gentleman working the floor and was leaning up against the desk right beside me and continued to watch me and play on his phone. Yes I am young as well but I had $500 worth of groceries and some bags I had to lay on the floor because I was running out of room to put them anywhere. He never offered to help of grab me another cart he just watched me struggle and didn't even say a word to me when I was leaving he just stared at me and continued to play on his phone. This is the type of ppl that work here, nobody helps anyone and is just wanting to go home, well u can't until ur shift is over so why not do your job. My son will not be like these ppl that live over here! Great parenting people!

it’s just really sad we live in a world where the cashier doesn’t even say hi. Even the manager that came by to help the cashier didn’t say hi. I don’t know what has happened to people but they really lack social skills anymore. Or maybe they just think they’re entitled and too good to even say a simple hello. I worked at Giant for 2 years and would NEVER not say hello or provide quality customer service. I was always friendly no matter how much I didn’t want to be there. SMH. really sad world we live in. Be better, Giant. There’s already enough negativity and rudeness in this world, let’s not make it worse.
