We ate around the corner and the wife wanted ice cream, so we stopped here. As soon as you walk in you feel like you went back in time. Hershey's ice cream scouped into bowls or cones. Had great service.

This building and the people involved with it are truly amazing. If you like old buildings and antiques, you really need to find a way to come check this place out sometime and have some good quality ice cream while you're there. Nicest people around, who clearly care a great deal about keeping the building restored in a way that would make some museums envious. I am sure my friends and I will never forget stopping by.

A visit to Eckels is like taking a step back in time, and that's GOOD. The food is homemade, tastes yummy, and is very reasonably prices. Delicious Hershey's ice cream is also available in old soda fountain dishes. There is also the option to buy candy out of jars (think the old fashioned penny candy). The owners and staff are kind, helpful and genuine. So much fun. A true delight and my kids love it too!

We mostly go there for the ice cream. They offer a wide variety at a great price! They also have a punch card to get a free dish of ice cream. The staff is always so friendly. It's just a happy place to go and hang out!

Eckel's has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants, it's only a block away from my house and I go almost every week. Their food is great for a great price and all the staff is friendly and talkative.

Eckels is definitely...quirky. I was hoping for some homemade ice cream, but it was just a moderate selection of Hershey's. Nothing special food-wise. It's a family owned business, and they're nice, but they're very talkative - if you prefer to just come, eat, and leave, it's probably not your kind of place. The decor is a weird, cluttered mash-up of Christmas (in February), Coke, and Girl Interrupted. Besides that it's got an old-timey kind of feel. Maybe it's just not for me, but I don't plan on going back.

This place is an absolute scam. I purchased a “Buy $30 for $15” coupon/certificate that is worthless because this place is never open. It says temporarily closed now but it didn’t 8 months ago when I bought two of these coupons. They are never open! Don’t waste your time driving by, trust me, they’re closed. They are still selling these gift certificates to steal your money that you can’t spend.

Nice historic place holding many of the original pharmaceutical items. Dime store candy setup with Hershey's ice cream dishes. Friendly staff. Worth a stop if passing through.

What a gem! Not a drugstore, this is an authentic Soda Fountain and lunch counter, offering hand dipped ice cream, sandwiches, daily specials and candies. We love stopping here for a treat whenever we're in the area.

More than just an old-fashioned soda fountain, Eckels is a museum that sells ice cream, smiles and memories!Family oriented, Deb and Bill love kids and chatting up guests like dear friends. The food is good, the ice cream is even better and the walls are covered in 19th-20th century drug store nostalgia.Sit in the same booth as Angelina Jolie and ask for the "Girl Interrupted" sundae.
