Just left my cvs, Gettysburg Rd and there is a new employee who was on the floor stocking,,, i think she's a manager. Nastiest, rudest person I have ever encountered at this location. I have used this location for the past 8 years and I am seriously considering changing to a different location because I would hate to have to deal with her again.

This review is for the pharmacy.I scheduled an updated COVID vaccine appointment for 5:15 pm.  Maybe it's still relatively new as none of the CVS' near my house had the vaccine available.  I had to drive 3 times longer in distance to get to this particular location.  I got there early at 5:05 pm.  I saw a sign at the door saying the pharmacy closes at 5 pm today.  I was perplexed but didn't think it applied to me because I just received both email and text confirmations as recent as an hour ago.When I got to the pharmacy counter, the metal curtains were already halfway down.  I was about to announce myself but was quickly cut off.  "The pharmacy is closed, " a pharmacist shouted.  I went, "but I have a 5:15 appointment for the vaccine."  She replied, "you will have to come back tomorrow."  "But I received confirmation..."  I was again cut off.  "We're closed today at 5 pm".  Every time I opened my mouth, I was cut off.  As a result, I was dismissed without even finding out why I had to waste this trip.First, I felt played by this particular pharmacy; the confirmations turned out to be a joke. I also wasn't properly placated as a customer who duly showed up for his appointment and did nothing wrong, but ended up leaving the place confused and angry.  I'm glad this location is far away, as I will never want to come back.

I have never had any issues with this pharmacy. Always have my prescriptions ready as promised, the staff is always polite and helpful. I tried another pharmacy closer to where I live now and my very first order was messed up and they actually lost my prescription orders ,( Weis in Newport) I ask my Doctor to call it into CVS at upper Allen Mechanicsburg, within a few hours my script was complete, it’s worth the extra miles for me to go back to MECHANICSBURG EVEN THOUGH there are some stores closer, this store I trust….

This has gone from a ok pharmacy to one of the worst I’ve experienced. Use the Weiss Market pharmacy, instead! The drive-thru at this CVS is closed. If you are sick, you have to get out of your car and walk to the back of the store and wait in lines to fill/pickup prescriptions; I waited 75 minutes today for my orders to be filled! - was told they would be filled in 15-20 minutes - finally gave up and went home; there are no chairs in the pharmacy lines for people who are too sick, too old, or too disabled to have to stand and wait in the long lines; the lines frequently back up quite a bit and no one behind the counter pays any mind or attention to all the people waiting - they need a pick-a-number system of helping people; the short pharmacist with black hair is so unpleasant - he acts like he hates his job and hates people - go work somewhere else! (the other pharmacist is great and is really helpful but I haven’t seen him in a while); the short girl at the register today, with long black hair, disappears from the cash registers and acts like she can’t be bothered to help; and the pharmacy closes for lunch every day (what store does that!!). I keep thinking things will get better, but the lines and the service just keep getting worse! I give this pharmacy hundreds of dollars of my business every month. Will be moving my drugs over to Weiss.

Personally I don't like to hold one bad experience with any business against them. So I rarely review anything at all. I've been disappointed by this business many many times, and because of that I think I'll be taking my business elsewhere.Some of those disappointments include the closing of the pickup window along with a really long wait in that line. It's great when you have little kids not to get them all out and take them in so the pickup window was really missed.Second and more pertinent to today and one other visit, is that they close for lunch.Please hire some more employees and run like a normal business.

Horrible pharmacy. Sign says on Saturday they open at 9. Cashier said they had no pharmacist so would be opening at 11. Ridiculous. Will be transferring all my medications to the Weis pharmacy down the street. If you don't get medication from here now, I highly suggest you stay away.

Shop at this CVS freq&have always had good experiences..today was very different! The clerk was rude & kind of demeaning. If it wasn't so convenient I would never return. Hopefully next time will be better.

Typically service here is top notch at the pharmacy and there aren’t any issues. The past two months it’s been nothing but a headache. From not having prescriptions in stock to fill, to not having them filled when I go to pick them up. If they all fill the same time, why do I get there and they’re still working on one of them when the other are on the final day I can pick them up? Makes zero sense....

I don't know what the problem is. Waiting at drive-thru. Been here 15mins. The line beside me is moving but not me. Just found out that although the sign says drive thru pharmacy, full service, I missed the other sign, located on the post. Covid 19 testing with arrow pointing to window. Where I was behind another car that sign was not visible to me. When he finally pulled away, I pulled up . My rx was ready but I was made to drive around to the other line to get it. That covid 19 testing sign doesn't say,only, no rx pick up at this window. Didn't matter to me cause I didn't see it anyway. What a crock, he could have given me my rx anyway. All in at 11:35 to 12:09. Also, the good part, I didn't owe anything for rx. All he had to do was verify my birthday and drop it in the drawer.

The one pharmacist is extremely rude. They changed their hours and now close at 5. Didn't know that and got there at 4:55 pm. When I went to pick up my father's heart medication, which was ready, he said it wasn't because he wanted to leave and not help me and then proceeded to ask how people were still getting in the store. This CVS has gone down hill. Next time I will not be so nice!

Absolutely horrible service from the pharmacy. They said we needed to call them prior to getting our prescription filled. What pharmacy needs direction beyond what the doctor prescribes? One of the longest waits. I recommend you choose another location if you must use CVS.

I’ve used multiple CVS for the past 25 years. I’m new to Mechanicsburg and the one on Gettysburg Pike is the worst CVS pharmacy I ever used. They don’t answer phones. Hold times over 1.5 hours every time I call. I drove there instead of staying on hold wondering if they will ever answer. (Regardless of day or time I call). I’d rather drive 20 minutes further for better service.

I would give less than one star if I could. Prescriptions are never ready. Even if they notify you that they are. Can't get anyone on the phone. They can be out of the medication you need and still say it's ready. Wasted so much time with these people. What an absolute joke.

Service and CVS stores has gone Way beyond what is reasonable bordering on Gross incompetence. They're way over their head and the ability to serve their customers pathetically bad service stay away rite aid is a much better option

Takes over 15 minutes to get anyone from the pharmacy to answer the phone. Kept getting texts that my prescription was being processed and told it would be available at a specific day and time which changed 3 times. When checking at the pharmacy they said they were out of my med and gave me another time frame which came and went still no prescription.

When I googled to get the number because I lost the number I came across the reviews section in my Google search and I couldn't resist writing mine. I have never been able to say I could 5 stars to a pharmacy. CVS has gone ABOVE AND BEYOND for my family and I. I got extremely sick while taking a new medication for a 9 month treatment plan after the doctor told me wrong information and Nd CVS gave me the warning signs paper after I told them what had happened and they were so great and offered much help. After they helped me on the road to recovery I lost my health insurance... I am a fresh 18yr old. They were so positive and helped me with the best route. Thank you for all!

Pharmacy experience was excellent but the public restrooms were disgusting! There was urine on the floor, hasn’t been clean in about a month, it was shameful! I called and let someone know abs they were totally indifferent, didn’t seem to care at all!
