I have pondered this review for days. Considering three meals in the restaurant and one to go has led to this review. First visit was in restaurant during lunch . I ordered the Balboa sandwich which was identified as a beef sandwich in a garlic roll. It came plain, so I ordered some au jus to dip it in. It has plenty of beef in it but it had very little flavor. The au jus had little flavor as well. It could be better with some horseradish mayo and or some lettuce. The fries accompanying the sandwich were pretty good. The next visit in restaurant was breakfast and I ordered the biscuits and gravy with hash brown potatoes. The biscuits were not homemade biscuits and the gravy was quite watery. The hash brown potatoes were overcooked. The next order was to go and it was for two fish plates. One fish was fried and the other was broiled. Both were average for a diner. The next, which actually was the biggest disappointment , was my order of the ribeye steak. The order came with a salad and the salad was crisp and fresh. The steak came and it looked ok at first glance but it was quite thin. Upon trying to cut and eat it I was faced with a tough steak containing much connective tissue or gristle. I made my concerns known to the waitress and was offered something else which due to the previous experiences I declined. She asked if I wanted the baked potatoes I chose for my sides and I said yes. She brought the bill and had removed the steak , however, I was charged for two potatoes and a salad which left the value of the steak at $6. When paying my check I again informed the cashier of my dissatisfied visit. I paid the amount requested and departed the restaurant. Unfortunately this would not be a recommended eatery. The decor is great if you know who James Stewart, Elizabeth Taylor and John Wayne were. It is a little over decorated for the season. Hope this helps .

What a lucky find! We stopped en route to Maryland and they could not have been nicer. The service was fantastic, and they were able to accommodate the disabled members of my family without question or hesitation, even opening a different section of the restaurant for us to all be able to sit at a table together. The food was brought out quickly, our drink refills were ready before we even asked, and I had the best diner burger I've had in years. I highly recommend this place!!

Our family ate at Brothers (& Sister) Family Diner in the evening. The menu has a large selection to choose from. Breakfast all day- can't beat that. But we ordered a variety of foods and everything was delicious. The servings are plentiful but try to save room for dessert. Because again, there a lot of choices. Everyone working there was really nice and we have needy, picky eaters. It was very family friendly with great parking. We will definitely be back again soon.

A workmate of mine eats lunch here all the time and recommended it, so we went there for breakfast. Cosy atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff and hot food served promptly. Large portions so bring your appetite with you. We've added Brothers to our regular breakfast places. Recommended!!Vegetarian options: Many selections that don't include meat or dairyDietary restrictions: Tell the staff of any dietary restrictions and they will do their best to accommodate youKid-friendliness: Kid friendly with large booths and tablesWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible

Solid menu of some local dishes and the usual breakfast/dinner specials. Fantastic service and atmosphere is good.Of note, some tables are fold-out style, and makes meals a bit uncomfortable when seated at one in a larger group.

Brothers Family Diner was a really nice surprise in the middle of an 8-hour trek from Virginia to New York. The staff was friendly and helpful and the building is really lovely--we were seated in the sunroom section, which has a nice bank of greenhouse-style windows and lots of plants.Food wise, prices are excellent--a little cheaper than similar upscale diner-type places. The food came out quickly and was delicious. I particularly appreciated the option to swap in zucchini sticks for French fries with my deluxe Greek burger. Portions were large enough that all of use had leftovers to take home. We will definitely stop in again if we're ever in the area at a mealtime again.Parking: A parking note: it is possible to park an SUV towing a small trailer in the parking lot, but you have to pull in on the far side of the lot behind 10,000 Villages. Just be aware if you're in that situation.Kid-friendliness: There are plenty of kid-friendly options, including a single-pancake breakfast option (the pancakes are *big*). The restaurant is a little cramped so it might be tricky navigating a stroller through.Wheelchair accessibility: There are tables that are wheelchair friendly. Interior pathing may feel a bit tight, but should be adequate to move through to the more wheelchair-friendly room. I would recommend calling ahead to ensure you can get those tables. I *think* the doorways were all free of step-ups as well, but I didn't mark that specifically when we were there.

UPDATE. I regret to say after going a few times again, I've been severely let down. Both times I went back. Breakfast was mediocre, service was bad, the guy didn't write anything down and most of it came out wrong. Like I asked for lightly cooked home fries and they were dark, crispy, uneatable home fries. Asked for cheese on my eggs, didn't get it. Asked for crispy bacon, it was very soft. This shows the importance of a server to write it down and put it in your computer as the customer says it, not as you try to remember it. I raved about this place to the person I brought there for breakfast and it was so bad. I felt bad for my friend who seemed totally let down.I'm pretty picky when it comes to breakfast! This place was like I cooked and they cleaned!! Service is hit & miss though. Sometimes you wait a while for drinks to be refilled & plates picked up but all in all pretty satisfied with this place.

While I only had coffee (possibly the best I ever tasted), my companion is familiar with Brother's and ordered the pumpkin pancake, which she said was always excellent! The service was prompt and friendly, the restaurant was very clean. Altogether a great experience!

Brothers is our favorite local diner! The food is great and the prices are right. The staff are kind and consistent which help us to build rapport and relationship with them. The environment is clean and the motif is outdated with random photos and memorabilia of starts from the '50s, but it just adds to the overall vibe of comfort and consistency. We love it here!

Stopped in for the first time. Wife and I wanted a light meal on a Friday evening. We were greeted and seated immediately. The menu has a nice variety of items. Server was friendly and courteous. Atmosphere quiet. Mostly mature customers. We both chose the broiled flounder, soup, salad and unsweetened iced tea. Soups were served perfect temperature. Nice sized fresh salad. Fish served hot and lightly seasoned; very tasty. We will return.
