I’ve been in this store multiple times. Only bought crickets and absolutely hated visiting the store. It smells strongly of animal urine and seeing the condition of the cages/enclosures and tanks is to put it nicely..not great. I was having a car looked at and walked over to kill some time and came across a veiled chameleon that didn’t have a water dropper, didn’t have proper lighting and fake plants in its little home. I came back a few days later to get it. The smell was a bit better, they moved things around a tad and the store was full of people. That’s great! Made me feel a little better about my decision. The veiled was gone and they had a small Senegal chameleon and I got her instead. There’s a picture of her. But then came the weird part. She was in a little plastic dish that had small holes around it and the poor baby was taller than the container. I brought my own carrier to put her I once I got to my car. She did good for a little bit. I live 45 minutes away so I knew the drive would be rough but I got her to my house and warmed her up. I came home from work and this poor baby had died. I didn’t even have her for 16 hours and she was dead.In the store she didn’t have the proper lighting either. Dome uvb bulbs are not enough for chameleons and as a place selling them you’d think they would be aware of this. It also had fake plants and more crickets than it could eat in a day which isn’t great given crickets will bite them.Improper lighting alone can cause damage and not let them absorb be calcium that is meant to be on their food.Just overall this was an absolutely HORRIBLE experience and I will never give them business again. The animals are not taken care of properly. Think twice.

Paid $199.00 for a baby Pastel ball python, with a heart pattern on its side.The staff there is good & friendly..And they have been very helpful with tips with her getting to eat..

This store is filthy, my chest hurt and burned from how dirty it is because they don’t clean up the pee. There was a DEAD TURTLE open for people to touch if there was a small child they could be traumatized. Rats in fish tanks that were literally eating eachother. Different kinds of birds all in one cage. I am almost positive there were also a couple dead rats. And as you walk in you are stepping in poop and bedding. I feel terrible for those animals if I could buy them all and actually take care of them I would. You should never have an animal you cannot care for. Water bottles were also empty and some didn’t even have food dishes. DISGUSTING.

It's a *GREAT* place to get mealworms and crickets for my Leopard gecko! The manager and staff are Very *HELPFUL* and *FRIENDLY*!! 👏❤️ And, they have some *AWESOME* lizards, like a Chameleon, Bearded dragon, and I've held one of their pythons and a Russian tortoise! It's *COOL* place!!❤️😎

Disgusting, terrible, and heart wrenching to see the condition of this store and the poor animals in it. Smells of feces and urine so strong you can barely breathe, animals with open wounds, filthy overcrowded cages with dirty water and no food, and even dead animals and fish left there and I’m sure deceased from neglect by the workers and owners. Animal control needs to get down here and get this place shut down because these poor babies are suffering.

The store, the cages/tanks, and the animals are all filthy. They are also selling a scaleless snake -- breeding/selling any animal with a detrimental mutation is simply unethical. Do better.

When I went in today there was a rat with wounds on its back end clearly red and irritated. A turtle that we attempted to see if it was alive that was limp and seemed dead. Fish in too small of tanks, I’m fairly disappointed.

Too busy talking with friends than taking a customer. Shop is filthy and I had to leave because of the odor and couldn’t stand seeing the animals poor living conditions.

The new owners are working hard to clean up the space and create a better, quality atmosphere for the animals they are selling. They are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They started carrying more feeder insects and at very affordable prices. Being a lifelong resident of Meadville and having witnessed all of the different ownerships of this store, I am finally looking forward to the future of this store!

Really disappointed in the whole store setup! If you're interested in fish for tanks don't bother going their as tanks are limited, half the tanks look dirty, if lucky they'll have something you'll like but no pretty fish or neons nor Molly's, even lucky to get a goldfish somewhere in the unmarked tanks. Even the beta tank rack, which they still have set up and running is completely empty. I seen someone commented under new management but honestly it's a disaster!

Recently my mum brought home a little guinea pig, Igor, that was infested with mites/lice that was due to poor hygiene in their cages. When my mum and I got a closer look at him he had open wounds on his nose, ears, paws, eyes, and a balding patch on his forehead. A beautiful baby but uncared for. We've spent more on his treatments and medicines (for both him and as a cautionary for my other piggies). We've called and were told that the infestation began with the rabbits...who were pressed tightly together with their cages. The cages smelled. Very disappointed and expect much better especially since this is also a hazard for any other pet we currently have. Please check the animals you're about to purchase

Told me that the rabbit was more expensive because he was already fixed. I took him to the first vet appointment, and he wasn’t fixed. My friend bought a single female rat that was 4 weeks old, and she was pregnant and gave birth days after they got it.

This store recently has new owners and has completely changed the layout and overall condition of the establishment. The enclosures for the animals has improved and they do provide both frozen and live feeder mice/rats of varying sizes. Very helpful staff!

Please stop selling pets here. The animals here are not taken care of properly. Several times that I have been here there has been ZERO HAY inside of the rabbit cages. Rabbits need hay all day or they will DIE or have GI issues. Rabbits don’t really need pellets and this store gives them huge bowls of it. And they feed adult rabbit food to babies.You should only feed rabbits a small cup of pellets once a day MAX.On top of that, the cages are dirty between every pet.Everytime I walk into this store it kills meI keep adopting rabbits from here because of the conditions.I can’t imagine leaving them there.One of the rabbits I rescued from them had a hurt paw and the other one stomach’s was hard as a rock going into GI stasis. This is prob due to them being babies and given too much pellets .Please please please stop selling animalsI love the staff and want to support local businessBut this isn’t right and you know it

Got gerbils off them they were a 1set price cage n all I made sure before I left that they were both female! The lady working said they were both female 6 month old ! Yeah well not even a month after having them the one gerbil had babies......... they have 0 clue what they are doing better off going somewhere else

Please stop selling pets especially if you’re not going to neuter them or spay them.I’m hoping one day y’all will stop and become a supply only store.I will never understand why you would sell rabbits that aren’t fixed. Do you know how many rabbits are at EARS right now looking for a home? Due to people like you - we have a problem with unwanted animals

Very friendly workers and family. A little bit more money than commercialized pet stores but this is a locally owned business.Don’t really agree with the selling of pets for $$. Wish this was simply a pet supply store Vs a breeding supply store for exotic animals and pets (which contributes to unwanted animals being left to die outside or at shelters for years.. please consider this and start transitioning to a supply only store)

these birds are in serious need of better care... there's bacteria growing in their water and their cages are filthy. the green cheek is only given black sunflower seed which is a great way to cause fatty liver.

The conditions of the animals and their terrariums/enclosures were horrendous. I walked out in tears, wishing I could rescue them all. Please consider keeping a smaller inventory so the creatures you have can get proper care. I would absolutely not shop here until changes are made.

Absolutely love this pet store and very nice people. I buy my live feeder rats 🐀 here and bought rabbit 🐇, ferrets and snake 🐍 here. I’d recommend!

The people there are very friendly and polite. Always willing to help with any knowledge that they have of your animals when you have questions. They always meet the needs of my animals and if they don't have it they order it couldn't ask for a better place to go to get your pet needs.

Best pet shop around decent prices owner is very nice very helpful definitely recommend this place for all your pet needs. Wish it was closer but well worth the road trip.
