Great family owned place and a hidden gem. Went here just over a week ago and got the mini spicy meatballs and a pizza with pepperoni and crumbled sausage.The meatballs were good, definitely tasted, homemade, were not very spicy for me I give them 4.5 out of 5Pizza was outstanding - I will call this a Pittsburgh style pizza not quite Chicago deep dish and not quite a New York thin. It’s somewhere in between. Crust was light brown on the bottom with a little bit of crunch to it and top was chewy and middle was in-between, if I had to guess tasted like dough was pre-baked. However for my taste, when I had it it was piping hot with plenty of cheese and the right amount of sauce - anyway, you slice it I would enjoy this Pizza, many more times and give it 5 out of 5.Service was excellent and attentive.Definitely want to return sometime and try more menu items.

I’ve ordered pick up the last two weekends and the Italian food has been as good as I’ve had in Pittsburgh and I’m old AF. Ashamed I didn’t know about this place sooner. Best cheese ravioli I’ve ever had. That chicken parm ravioli joint is crazy. The meal deals on take outs are fantastic. Tons of awesome food for a more than reasonable price.

Updated review.. We visited tonight, 3 /11 /24 @ 720pm. All 3 of us ordered the same thing.. the original trio. Sadly, all 3 of the lasagna dinners were cold in the middle. I asked the waitress if the lasagna was microwaved because it shouldn't be cold when served. She offered to "reheat" it. It just seemed the waitress could really care less as it was close to when they were closing. I'm highly disappointed.~Previous reviewA true diamond in the rough..We visited on a Saturday right around 5pm and it got busy quick. The service and food was fantastic! You can't go wrong with homemade food like Tillie's. Better quality and great tasting food..way better than any chain restaurants!

I liked the old style restaurant atmosphere..Our service was wonderful..The food was delicious..my favorite was the seafood pizza..I was a little disappointed in the meatball pizza..as the meatballs were sliced thin on top...I got the cod father..it was huge..and the French fries are really good..the tarter sauce is sweet..im not a fan..I like dill tarter..friend got baked cod..beautiful..got the calamari ..it was very good! .guess I thought it would be crazy good..since all the hype I heard..but I would definitely return..

This restaurant has been in the area WAAAAY longer than I've been alive! I worked as a server there about 40 years ago! We order take out food from here several times a month. Today I was there for a funeral re-past luncheon. The servers were very attentive and, as usual, the food was delicious! The portion size is always too much, so I get a to-go box & have another meal out of it!!

I love Tillie's! I went with a friend's family years ago and I always thought about it. Recently, I was able to go back and it was just as delicious as I remember! We did have a reservation and we were able to be seated right away. Absolutely come here for the homemade spaghetti and wedding soup! The portions are huge and you won't leave hungry!

Went for the first time recently and this is a hidden gem. The food is uniquely homemade and different from any other Italian restaurants in the area. It is a rare find because it feels like a family run establishment not just selling the same food that every other restaurant sells. The atmosphere is intimate and happening. Good portions, reasonable prices, good service. Highly recommend!

Very authentic and I was pleasantly surprised that this gem of a restaurant had been hidden to me in plain site for this many years. The flavor and freshness were phenomenal. Our hostess was extremely nice and found and alternate to my wife’s liking. She didn’t like the gnocchi but loved the mussels with angel hair. I created my son trio with lasagna, chicken Parmesan, and spaghetti.

I Said let’s get tillies today10/1/2023Well!!BIIIGGG MISTAKE HAVENT been there in a long while . I choose to support local businesses but this is my last time . I ordered rigatoni and got raviolis with a meat ball.Called and manager said we will credit one meal but manager you ruined all our mealsNot only all of this, as I am eating the other order and I have found a piece of metal inside of my meal! I don’t even know how this happened!Did speak to owner he actually called back this is a plus but he said we where overreacting “ jumping the gun”Cook could have been having a bad day” ?? Huh ?

I was there the day before Easter at noon. To pick up my fettuccine, Alfredo and my 4 assorted family pack. And the girl wrote down the wrong order. She wrote down ravioli and I did not know that and when I brought it home. My family was very, very disappointed. So when I called them she said well, you have to bring it back while let's see. That was the 1230 on Saturday afternoon for lunch. I had them over. Do you really think they were gonna wait for an hour or 2 for Tilly's to cook something? So I think they should replace it and they didn't and i'm very disappointed in them

Tillie’s is one of my favorite restaurants. I typically get the combination trio so I can try a little of everything, but I always get the lasagna as one of the options. I typically don’t even care for lasagna, but Tillie’s is not to be missed! On our most recent visit we got the calamari and stuffed pepper appetizers, both of which were delicious. And my son got the lobster and crab grilled cheese which was heavenly.

Old school Italian, first time in and ordered a sampler with chicken parm, lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo. Added a meatball and hot sausage.Had the Ceasar salad with anchovy and lemon cake for dessert. Food was delicious and priced right. Portions were good size.Looking forward to trying other specialities you don't see everyday. Service was on point.

My meal was very bland. I ordered pasta and mussels the the "wine sauce" was more like a cloudy water with no taste and you could tell that the mussels were not cooked with any butter or olive oil and were so dry that they turned grainy. My husband had ravioli and the sauce tasted like straight plain tomatoe paste. And our server got very irritated when I paused in my ordering for no more than 10 seconds while I decided and he walked away, not to return for over 10 minutes. They were not that busy. 1st time there and won't go back.

VERY noisy. I got spaghetti as a side with meat sauce costed me extra $3.00. Not a problem, #1 if I was told in advance by waitress it would cost more and #2 their was hardly any meat in the sauce. Person I was with got blue cheese dressing and vodka sauce. Again they were surprised by the extra charge. Sure they were busy but still waitress should inform guest when ordering. Instead she got a menu and said it was on their but she couldn't even find where it said about the upcharge herself. Very disappointed, they went down hill.

Excellent old school, little italy-esque Italian food. Red sauce was well balanced and tasty. Delicious veal Parmesan, homemade pastas, lasagna and wedding soup. This food takes me back to my childhood every time!
