This is a hidden gem but well worth the detour off the Interstate. Google maps delivered us right to the front door as the place is out in a sleepy village and not really sign posted. Be aware that it is cash only! $21 per adult but worth every penny. Our guide Bill/Jim (sorry for my poor memory) was excellent. The caverns contain unique fossils of coral found no where else in continental USA. Please use the number given on Google to text the office and book your tour, we had the place to ourselves on our visit, a private tour

Today a group of friends stopped at the Coral Caverns, looking for a pit stop along a long drive to Virginia. Instead they found a roadside treasure, and met a fantastically fun guide along the way. Bill was full of fascinating knowledge of the only Coral Fossil Cave in the world, as well as history of the site and area. He also has a great little collection of dinosaur fossils. I highly recommend taking the time to stop and experience this gem.

Such an AMAZING experience! The owner was fantastic! The tour is full of interesting facts, great jokes and beautiful sights! You won't find a gift shop full of high priced run of the mill trinkets BUT what you will find is an entrance full of history, covered in fossils and every inch filled with pride. This is a FAMILY OWNED cave and you can tell they care about the cave, taking great and appreciation of the history.

What an incredible experience! This is the first time I’ve ever been given a cave tour by the actual owner. His knowledge and love for this cave as well as the stories told by its walls are immediately recognizable. It doesn’t look like your “typical touristy cave” when you first find it. You may think you’re lost, but just then signs let you know you’re not.The store/museum isn’t your “typical souvenir shop”. It’s artifacts and books and pictures from over the decades. The tour groups are small and that definitely adds to the experience.I am so incredibly happy we stopped here today! It couldn’t have been a better end to this mom/daughter + friends trip!Thank you for all the work you put into maintaining and sharing this incredible piece of natural history.

Absolutely a must do if you are in this area! My son and I were treated to a personal tour by Bob on my birthday and it could not have been a better experience. My nine-year-old son was captivated. Bob, the owner/tour guide let us on an underground adventure that we will never forget. Reservations are recommended and there is a little bit of stair climbing and low ceilings so you do you want to be prepared for that but most people will no trouble. Great educational with a real WOW factor.

I can't say enough good about the experience we had on our guided tour of the Coral Caverns. Our tour guide was engaging, funny, but above all PASSIONATE about the history and preservation of the beautiful site. His knowledge of history and geology made for a tremendous experience for our family, with members raging in age from 8 to 70 years old. Without reservation, I would recommend this tour! Our guide even offered to take a group photo of our family, which was much appreciated.

A must go if in the area, make sure to give the own a text before hand to arrange your visit.Visted the cavern while in the area for a work trip and I'll say I was not disappointed! I got to many caverns as my hobby and this was by far the most interesting one in the area ! Bats may be present in the winter and the owner is incredibly knowledgeable about the fossil and mineral history of the cave !

We just had the most absolutely amazing experience at Coral Caverns, 100% recommend. So many fossils, and awesome coral reef formations in the cave. The owner was amazing and let my blind husband touch and feel the fossils and he was so happy and excited to share his collection with him. He went above and beyond taking that time from his day and making sure he had just as great of a time as our whole group. Everyone on staff was awesome, very personable, very knowledgeable. I love the little inside jokes about the cave that just add to the story and the whole experience. I texted ahead of time with the number on Google to make sure we had a time confirmed ahead of time. Super easy.

We were driving across PA and Google caves. This popped up on our route so we stopped by. It doesn't seem like much when you're pulling up to find the building. But the tour was very informative and fun! I learned a lot of cool facts and my little one who was 8 @the time enjoyed the adventure as well. The guide helped us to take great pictures. Definitely not handicap accessible. There are steep narrow stairs to get down, and ground can be slippery. Didn't take up a lot time. Long enough for the kid to enjoy it but not too long that she lose interest. Definitely recommend for a quick stop before or after lunch to break up the day. They have tours scheduled periodically. I think we waited maybe 20min. They do have a little shop with nifty things to browse while you wait. Our tour guide was amazing I wish I could remember his name. He knew so much! Was really easy to listen to

Highly recommend visiting! Very educational and interesting. The owner is knowledgeable. Max (the owners son) gave the cave tour and it’s obvious both enjoy what they do. The tour is around 30-45 mins. Cost is $18. They open at 10am and the last tour is at 1pm(edited to fix time). I had no idea this cavern was even in the area until a friend told me about it. The gift shop doesn’t have any souvenirs.

Bill was an outstanding tour guide, and someone that you could tell genuinely took pride in his work and knowledge of the cave.We had a group of about eleven 26-year-olds, and Bill handled us expertly. We were even given a heads up that it is mostly a "field trip" destination, but this 26-year-old still managed to find a re-ignited sense of magic within that cave. Can absolutely recommend stopping here to anyone, of any age, orientation, or level of understanding of geological processes. Fantastic!

My husband and I stopped here traveling from Hershey to Pittsburgh. Enjoy going through caverns and found this one, though small, to be quite educational. The father and son are very knowledgeable about the geology of the earth. Was much more personalized then the bigger, commercialized cavern. Would highly recommend. Follow Google maps on the narrow back roads for a ‘going back in time’ experience.

We did this as a stop on a recent road trip on a hot summer day. We really enjoyed the lay back atmosphere in the place, and learned about the geology of the cave. The cave is cool and has a constant 54 degree temperature. It was also great to chat with the owner after the tour who shared with us wonderful things that he did for the community.

Great spot to go to if you have never been to caverns and want to know a little bit about the science behind the formations. I have never been to cavern guided tour and I learned a lot. Our tour guide was the owner and he explained how the mineral deposits formed and how their ecology is very sensitive. It was almost a private tour and we learned a lot. I definitely recommend

Good place to visit. Owner and son do the tours. Very knowledgeable about how the caverns were created and formed. Friendly. They enjoy what they do.They are there from 10 - 3 by appointment. Worth the time. Take a lite jacket or sweater 50° inside the cave.

Great tour of the caverns with very informative tour guide. They say you learn something new every day and I did learn a bit on my visit. We were on the road with our travel trailer and they had just widened the turn to exit but if you have a large rig may want to leave it at the bottom of the hill. Mine is 22 ft pulled with a Frontier to give you an idea.
