Recently purchased medium chicken coup. It seems to be well built & it was easy to put together. It is so cute & I can’t wait until my chicks are big enough to stay in it!! I love that touch up paint was provided!

We are very disappointed! The website clearly states that the product is made by the Amish in Pennsylvania, yet the containers arrived with “made in China” stickers throughout. The coop was built using wafer board (not solid wood) and it arrived crushed. When we called the phone number (that we were instructed to call with any delivery issues) no one answered. After leaving messages at every phone number we could find, we have received NO return calls and it’s been over a week. We now have a $5k pile of crushed particle board (from china) laying in our driveway. We couldn’t be more disappointed.

Everything is too expensive at this time. What you usually get is hard to assemble and really just cheaply made. This coop is none of those things. It was easy to assemble and very sturdy. My chickens love it. I was given 300.00 off which was a nice break as well. I will buy from here again.

We purchased the XL overez chicken coop. It was delivered faster than expected, which was nice. When it arrived, the crate seemed to be completely intact with no damage. However, upon unpacking it, we did find several damaged pieces. It was not anything that we couldn’t work around, so we continued to assemble the coop. Overall, it seems to be a quality piece. It went together, pretty smoothly as well, with the exception of some warped pieces requiring quite a bit of finagling. One major disappointment is the quality of the screws that they included. They are extremely prone to stripping, and required significant forced to get through the boards. About halfway through the installation, I switched over to some torx head assembly screws that I had left over from a deck project, and that made the insulation go exponentially easier. The hardware is mainly the reason for the three star review instead of a four, and the damage components from shipping are the reason for the other star being taken off. When you spend this kind of money on a chicken coop, I would expect they would include decent hardware… Time will tell how it holds up, but I don’t see that being an issue.

I love my medium size coop and especially the ventilation door. I was worried the chickens wouldn’t have enough ventilation so the addition of the door is very helpful. The only issue I have with this coop that I feel could use improvement is the ventilation. I don’t feel one small window and 2 tiny vents are enough. I am in New Mexico which is hot in the summer so the door really helped a lot. If we have a mild winter I plan on keeping it on rather than closing the coop door. Assembly was good. My son and husband had to make some adjustments to the screws but they figured it out fast and went right together. I added a 1x4 to the roost bars so the chickens have more surface area for their feet. Shipping was on time. The carrier dinged one side pretty good therefore I was pleased to see touch up paint included. I’m very happy with my purchase and might upgrade to the large size at some point when we expand our run. We have large predators (Mt. Lion, bobcat, coyotes, etc) which is why we put it inside the run for better safety. Very thankful this is available at a reasonable price to those of us who aren’t able to build our own.

So at first glance this seems like it would be a nice coop, and partially it is. They put a lot of thought into it. For one, it’s too expensive. You’re better off buying a shed and adding a few pieces to make for chickens. Second, our coop came with the cheapest screws you could give someone and we’re not properly predrilled so we had to use our own. Three, you should be able to walk in better and open windows from outside. Our nesting box door was altered so they did send a new one. Customer service was very good, always appreciate that. But the kicker today is that the roosting bars need sanded and pieces of wood removed that’s falling off them. The roosting bar Injured one of my birds!! I am not happy today. I had to peel pieces of peeling wood off the bars and sand several times for safety so they don’t injure themselves again. Honestly it’s ok but I would probably explore other options first. Also needs more ventilation. Def not enough unless want to open windows, but if you open windows they are directly in line to roosting bars so birds could get chilled if cold. For this price as a buyer you shouldn’t have to worry about so many modifications. Personally I’m slightly disappointed with the purchase. I like it but I don’t , however you’re not going to beat the customer service. That part is good. Just really put thought into purchase.Service: Barn design & building

Buyer Beware!Pros- Easy to assemble, accurate to description and packaged very well....however their were explicate instructions to take apart shipment 'prior' to accepting the delivery...not happening when the delivery person is racing off to another delivery...and the packing needed a crow bar to disassemble. Upon unpacking, uncovered a hole in the roof panel that happened either during or before shipping, looks at though something was dropped on the panel (see photos) piercing all the way through the roof panel.Cons- High fee for removal off of tailgate, otherwise your picking up the 400lb unit by yourself. My scheduled delivery time was 6 hrs earlier that has planned. Generally not a problem, but when you've lined up a couple strong helpers to help remove the 400lb unit from the tailgate...makes delivery more stressful. We will find a way to close the hole, however note that their are considerations PRIOR to purchasing to be aware of.

The chicken coop is great so is the run. The directions for assembling the coop were great. The directions for putting the run together were terrible - the pictures they referred to were so fuzzy that you couldn’t see what they wanted you to do. We had three adults trying to figure out how to attach the run to the coop and ended Face timing with a friend that had the same set-up so we could get it together. If we hadn’t FaceTime my friend we wouldn’t have gotten it connected to coop.

I was hesitant to buy such an expensive coop for my girls but new my Amazon coop wouldn't make it through the winter. The coop took about 90 minutes to put together with 2 people. It is heavy and well constructed. It came with a few imperfections but EZ Coop was extremely responsive and took care of it within 24 hours. Overall I am a new chicken keeper and know chicken math is a thing so I bought larger than needed. Only upgrade I wish I did was the automatic door. I have 4 stars bc of the imperfections but overall the coop is worth its price if you don't have the means to build your own.

I did a lot of research on chicken coops. Most of them felt like balsa wood and were super flimsy. I settled on Over EZ chicken coops even though they were twice as much than what I felt was the next best coop.First the pros: it is extremely well built, heavy and sturdy. I initially was going to buy a small coop. I changed my mind and decided on the new Coop in a Box. I couldn't see any discernible differences between the small coupe and the coop in the box in quality from online pictures. The best part was the coop in the box came with an outdoor run. I knew this run would need hardware cloth on the top bottom and sides, I knew the window would need hardware cloth on the screen, and I knew the footing that the coop sat on would need hardware cloth. What I didn't expect were the little differences in extras. The Coop in the Box didn't come with the handle to lift the hen box and the ceiling wasn't insulated like the small coop. The coop in the box also didn't come with instructions. Nothing was labeled and the instructions were for the small coop. Not until we had the coop together did we realize that we needed to put the footers on. Since there were no instructions we had to wing it. We went to the website and tried to find coop in the box instructions but could not find them. They did have a video showing how easy it was with smiling happy faces and no one breaking a sweat. My daughter and I made sure the area was level, even so when tried to slide the side pieces onto the base we could not get them to slide smoothly and eventually broke the wood around the egg box. Because the sides were now jacked up we could not get the roof to lay correctly but it's heavy enough that it will do. One thing I didn't mention was we couldn't put together the nesting boxes without taking a table saw to one of the sides to make it fit. I could have the sides on him correctly I wouldn't know because I didn't have instructions. They bought this for me for Christmas and early December of 2021. I did not put it together until May of 2022. Hope this helps I'll update as it ages and also if my daughter can recollect any of her frustrations I'll add them.

Honestly speaking I love the coop well done. But the Price is way to high its quite small for the price range, they could try to do it bigger more spacious, The Range is very hard to put together lack of instruction, Still Beautiful

It was easy to put together. It needed to be outside our chicken run because of the height issue of the two, so we cut out the fence at the chicken door and attached it to the house around the door. We have 8 Plymouth barred rocks and I am not sure any more will fit in the house. They are calm and seem to be happy, no fighting.

Love the coop! Two of us put it together without any issues. Some pieces are a bit heavy so if you have to move a distance, would recommend an extra hand just to move. Only things I found are the white vents on the sides keep falling off so would maybe recommend glue? Roof had a lil bit larger gap so we had to realign the screws, however, the tin did cover and no roof leakage to date! 100% satisfied!

We LOVE our new chicken coop. The quality is excellent. There were only a couple of very small blemishes in the paint that I’m sure happened during shipping. They were easily covered with the paint samples sent to us. Assembly was easy. When we did get confused about one component the company responded to my text with the alter to our issue. The only thing I would change is the mesh over the windows. I wish they would use hardware cloth over the windows. I will be adding that myself to provide better predator protection.

Purchased my coop from Shiptons unbuilt, unseen needed to get temporary home for the hens. Built it has a few fit and finish issues, but I contacted them directly instead of Shiptons. After a few emails and some photos they shipped me out what I needed and even threw in a free auto door. They went above and beyond in customer service! For that effort they get 5 stars, awesome to deal with. I get manufacturing issues that can get out of hand but they more than made up for it.

I love my medium chicken coop and automatic door. I had a bit of difficulty when I received the automatic chicken door, but the company made it right within a few hours, you don't see customer service like that anymore. I have a bunch of four-legged and winged predators that love chickens as much as I do, but the coop is solid, and i know my girls are safe in it once they're locked in for the night. Maybe I'll expand my set up in the furture, if I do, I'll definately buy from this company once again, you definately get what you pay for.

This is the best design I have found. My chickens have a choice between this coop and my other coop. They have never gone back to the coop they were raised in. The roosting bars are much higher and I think that makes them more secure. The coop is shipped in really well made crate. It goes together really fast. I do not usually take the time to write a review. The coop did come with minor damage to the roof most likely done by a fork lift during shipping. The hole in the roof facia was the exact size a fork on a fork lift would make. Ligeia Stern, OverEZ's customer service representative offered me a new roof or a generous financial compensation. My thanks to OverEZ for their great customer service.

Once I finally got it together I really like it. I had several issues while putting it together. First I am not sure where you stored your packaged coups but when I opened mine it had a huge rodent nest in it on the underside of the roof piece. The rodents had chewed the silver lining in several areas on the underside of the roof piece to make part of their nest which was full of poop. Next the wall pieces were warped just enough that we could not slide the side pieces into the allowed grooves to attached them together. So I had to take the corner pieces off just enough to make the opening larger to slide them into the larger groove. After it was together I then had to close up the corner pieces. Two of the corner pieces I was unable to completely close due to the warpage. So I am going to have to drill new holes and put a screw in those areas to close it (hopefully). The warpage made it difficult for two people to assemble so I had to call my two neighbors over to help us.Service: Custom shed design

Love this coop! It is very well made but not quite as easy to put together than I thought. I’ve got it in a large covered run which made it more challenging. My very spoiled girls are happy, dry, and have plenty of space.

We ordered the smallest coop, and we love it. It comes exactly as advertised, had to call with a question on putting it together and they were very nice and helpful, pretty easy to put together, is expensive but very good quality. Would absolutely order from them again.Service: Shed delivery to installation sites

The coop itself is okay though arrived with damaged paint, some alignment issues, missing screws, missing roosting bars, and missing ramp. I contacted customer service immediately after noticing the missing ramp and roosting bars, and weeks later, still have not received them. Maybe we just got a kit that was assembled at the end of the day on a Friday, but customer service hasn’t been that great either. It does seem very solid once put together though!

Pretty nice coop and goes together quickly. Worried about the quality of construction. Door has massively warped after 1 month to the point it won't even close.

Great coop! Three of us took a couple hours to assemble as we went slow to ensure proper assembly. Chickens adapted quickly & easily. Loving the coop in the first two weeks. We’ll see how it goes through a Maine wintah

We purchased the medium sized farmhouse chicken coop. The entire process was easy. Once your coop arrives at the shipping facility you make an appointment with them for the actual delivery. The coop arrives in pieces on a pallet. Our driver was kind enough to take the pallet up to our garage and place it inside. My husband and I put it together in an hour and that was with taking it piece by piece from the garage to the building site. So far my girls love it! I sanded down the roosting bars just to be sure the edges were smooth enough for their feet. The coop so far seems durable and well made. I added a few little signs to glam it up a bit! But overall the process is just as advertised, timely shipping, easy to put together and a quality product! Would definitely recommend and purchase from them again!

I purchased the large chicken coop and the walk in 15 ft run that attaches. The coop itself was fairly easy to put together. Where the roof comes together at the top, it doesn’t fit perfectly so there is a bump there that is cosmetically annoying. My mom had the same issue with hers. The coop is cute otherwise. My issue here is with the run. It took about 2 weeks of me coming home after work daily and working on the run to get it pieced together. The instructions actually made it more difficult because there are several errors grammatically that make it very hard to understand. The photos in the instructions do not help whatsoever because they are so blurry. The instructions say to use hinges to put together certain pieces and there wasn’t enough hinges to do so. So I contacted the company and they tell me I’m not supposed to be using hinges I’m supposed to be using plates. So I had to take it apart and put it back together probably three times due to these and similar issues. The instructions additionally identifies pieces differently than what the company identifies them as, so that made troubleshooting very difficult. And to make it worse, before I had even completed putting it together, there are areas that are already rusting which is a big problem.Additionally, the run does not align seamlessly with the coop. I had to do some fixing and adding myself to predator proof this. For the very high end price I paid, this is ridiculous. I do not recommend.

Bought a screen door for my large chicken coop. The door is cheaply made. It was warped when I received it and I had to do quite a bit a trimming to get it to fit correctly. While I love most products that I have bought from EZ, the screen door is really an over priced joke. I do not recommend!
